I'm writing this as a serious warning: do not trust this business with your money, your vehicle, or your time. They operate with shocking levels of incompetence, dishonesty, and outright disrespect for their customers. My fiancé and I drove from Corvallis to Portland with our toddler after choosing this dealership over others. We were drawn in by the promise of a woman-owned business that "cares" about customers and "would never rip people off." That turned out to be nothing more than a sales pitch -- a complete lie. From the moment we walked in, the red flags were everywhere. The sales rep was brand new -- this was her first sale -- and didn't know how to complete basic paperwork. The following week, yet another new sales rep was working, and we learned the master mechanic had recently been fired. It became clear that this place is run in a state of chaos and disorganization. We test-drove a Subaru and agreed to move forward. They also agreed to buy our Lexus as a trade-in. The transaction was messy and incomplete -- no credit check, no proper documentation, no gas in the car, and we were sent home with a vehicle they hadn't even properly inspected. Within five miles of driving, the dashboard lit up like a Christmas tree. After scanning the codes, we discovered they had intentionally cleared major warning codes before the sale. This is fraud, plain and simple. When I returned the vehicle (on my own time, again filling their tank out of my own pocket), I demanded to speak to Victoria, the owner. She showed up, cussed in front of my child, texted on her phone while I was speaking to her, and offered excuse after excuse -- first claiming the codes were cleared "after repairs," then changing her story once we confronted her with evidence that the catalytic converter issue had been hidden. We unwound that deal and tried -- foolishly -- to pursue a different car on the lot. Things only got worse. They ran my credit after telling me they wouldn't. They promised the car would be detailed again before we left the lot -- it wasn't. The backseats were full of a sticky residue. They promised a full tank of gas -- we were handed $30 cash. Communication? Nonexistent. No calls, no updates, no transparency. Again, we had to return the car, take another day off work, and request our money and trade-in back. Jesse told us everything was done. He handed us a check for $5,000 -- our down payment and the trade-in value. I had a bad feeling, and sure enough, the check bounced. Twice. They had our Lexus listed for sale on their lot, and we had nothing. I consulted with a lawyer and sent a demand letter. They waited until the final day of the 30-day deadline to pay me what they owed -- holding our money hostage for weeks while showing zero accountability for the stress and damage they caused. Once again, they clung to the bare minimum required by law, using deadlines as a shield to avoid any real accountability. Delaying payment until the final hour wasn't just legal maneuvering, it was a calculated display of indifference and control. It reflects a pattern: technically compliant, ethically bankrupt. This dealership ran my credit without permission, lied to us repeatedly, sold (or attempted to sell) a car with serious issues they tried to hide, and held onto money for a vehicle they no longer owned. I've never had a worse car buying experience. To start things off when we got to the dealership the car dealer acted like we wouldn't be able to afford the car due to not having a high enough down payment. After going through the finance part we were approved. Fast forward to 5 days after buying the vehicle we realized it was leaking coolant extremely fast. Took it to a shop and turns out the head gaskets need replaced along with the breaks only having .5 millimeter left to them. We drove 3 hours to this dealership with our 7 month old baby and for them to let us leave in a vehicle that wasn't even safe. We purchased a warranty through the dealership and tried using it for these repairs and were denied because "they were preexisting issues" meaning the dealership sold us the car knowing it had these issues. We contacted the dealer and they kept saying they would reach out to the warranty company to try to push it through. We kept calling day after day to get an update and they kept saying they were working on it. After 2 weeks of no update, we opted to call the warranty company ourselves and turns out the dealership had never reached out to them at all. So here we are a month into purchasing this vehicle and its just been sitting there with $4,000 worth of repairs needing done to it. Never will recommend purchasing a car from this company again. read more

I can't say enough good things about everyone that I met at Grip! I was in the market for a manual AWD daily driver and came across a great looking STI on Autotrader. I inquired online and got a call back from Riley right away. Luckily I was one of the first people to contact him about the car and right away I scheduled a PPI from a mobile mechanic. Riley was more than happy for me to have the car checked out and after the inspection, everything Riley had gone over with me about the car was confirmed. I already trusted him but it was super nice to have an impartial inspector echo everything I was told. When it was time to purchase the car, Riley was great at working with me and waited a few days while my bank transfers were completed. The paperwork was quick and super easy. I got to meet Alex and Victoria too and they were just as fun to talk to as Riley. Overall, I couldn't be happier and I'm looking forward to a ton of miles over many years in this beauty of an STI they sold me.
