Sometimes I wonder what the big secret is in that room. We may never know. I recommended always reserve the vehicle and make sure you get the "Out the door" price. Of course, they will add taxes and fees. I will not recommend this dealership to anyone.

Prior to scheduling I called and no one was available but they had a texting system. I left a voicemail prior to the text coming in and they answered my question about pricing before I booked the appointment. It was very convenient. When I got to the dealership, Matt the advisor got me in. Although he did not see my appointment I made online he still got me in for a walk in no problem. I did make the appointment an hour before arriving, so wondering if that's why my appointment did not show up in the system. Regardless it was nice he got me in still. Service: 5/3/26 they took my car and did an inspection of my tires and found that I had multiple studs/lugs that needed replaced. It took about 1.5 hrs for the inspectio and I was on my way. The process was easy and I scheduled my appointment for the following week to come back for full service of replacement. Service: 5/5/26 took my car in and everything went smooth. Gave me an estimate of how much cost may be and came out even lower than estimate which was a win. During the wait they send you a video of multipoint inspection and what was done. Very helpful, because they also recommend what should be fixed or flag you wants needs done now. I really like that tool from the waiting room I just responded if I wanted to take care of the issue then or decline it. The whole process was smooth and Matt was great. I will definitely be back. A month later and two Hours drive home you learned that the first thing that you asked for and were assured was included in your contract. Was he have the maintenance plan for oil changes, etc. Only to find out knope it's not in your "plan". They assured me it was and we were paying for it but nope, we have to pay $150-$200 per oil change now. For the next so many years every three months. I was stupid to buy a second Subaru. We had the full maintenance planned with the first Subaru and my wife took them up and they said oh no don't worry about it. You can bring it in when you have a few more miles on it. We brought it in a few miles later and they said no your contract expired last month. It's on you. Fool me twice shame on me.

I called to find out why the car was not there. They told me the car was having some work completed on it. Seriously? Ok, so that in itself was a deal breaker. But, the car having a rebuilt title suffered some damage. I asked for a copy of the report that shows the work on a left rear wheel which was significantly damaged in a accident. I was told they did not have the report or receipt of work having been done. I was told that they are trustworthy and they would not sell cars if they did not have the cars repaired to specs. What? I should just take your word for it? Keep in mind that they are an auto seller on 82nd ave which is known for shady business for cars. Pretty weak. That in itself was also not a deal breaker...but all thing combined, I said I am out. Pre inspection cost was higher specifically because of auto sellers on 82nd ave. Buy at your own risk. I did my research on cars, saw the damage, was willing to risk the damage IF the car was repaired properly. No proof, no purchase.

Their price is very competitive, they don't add any extra dealer fees, and they're willing to work with you on things matter most to you... whether that be price or services. As mentioned above, I'm not from Oregon, so I had to make a purchasing decision sight unseen. To help with that decision, I requested a walk-around video with the engine revving and pictures of the underbody to check for any rust. Phill was quick and sent those to me immediately. He then sent over the paperwork through email - I read through it in detail, was satisfied so I signed and sent it back, then we got on the phone and I put a deposit down through my credit card. The whole process was quick and easy - not once did Phill try to sell me anything extra, we just talked about the car, what I needed from them, and how we can get the deal done... that was it. A few more details - they held onto the car for me for an extra 2 weeks in their lot because I had to find time to fly in to pick it up in person - in exchange, they requested I put a higher deposit which counted towards the purchase price, which was fair and not an issue. Phill also graciously offered to return 50% of the deposit in the event I didn't want the car. The day I picked up the car was just as easy. They had the car on the lot ready to go, I inspected and test drove it, it was every bit as good as it looked in the pictures. I paid the remaining amount, we finalized the paperwork, and I happily drove back home! I'm writing this review about 15 days after I picked up the car and 1K miles later. The car drives like new, I've had no issues - I'm very happy with the purchase price, the car itself, and the whole experience. Thanks Phill and the Kova Team!

My kid had just had his 09 WRX totaled by a semi truck. He found a Cascade Motors listing for a 97 Legacy GT (a 1 owner, w/ only 59k miles)... that seemed clean. We spoke on and off w/ LUKE (and once w/ CHRIS) for 10 days thinking of either coming in person from Michigan to pick it up, or having the car shipped. LUKE boasted about a clean title, and techs at their place who only work on Subarus. He also sent videos of the shop, w/ all the inventory to impress us. Told us they'd sell the car for $9k (asking $9995). I called around a few Subaru specialized mechanic shops in the Portland area. one told me Cascade Motors sells cars that are "hit or miss", but they were booked done couldn't do inspection there. I found another 3rd party shop to look at the car. they did an amazing job ($162). The inspection came back w/ a laundry list of issues on the Legacy GT. I was shocked... little items like wiper blades and brake light bulbs, which why would anyone selling cars not repair these simple items? the inspection did reveal worse: tie rods; ball joints; struts; power steering pump leak; valve gasket leaks; transmission leaks; ac belt cracked and needing immediate replacement. LUKE acted like these were no big deal, but admitted any mechanic would charge about $5k for all the work needed on the Legacy. LUKE said Cascade would do all repairs because the labor being on them would only be $1500 in parts... if we still wanted the car. LUKE said no more $9k deal though, we'd have to pay full asking if they fixed the car (no way in hell I'd trust them to fix it). I asked for them to cover the 3rd party inspection charge since we couldn't buy the car, and the inspection was of more benefit to them as they now had a comprehensive professional diagnosis for the car... something they failed to do prior to selling it for top dollar to unsuspecting shoppers. LUKE told me management said they'd not cover the inspection for us, as it was a part of the "auto shopping experience", and he wished us luck on our car search. thinks when I decided to file a complaint with the Oregon DOJ, and worried they'd not fix the Legacy GT at all, and just turn and sell it to the next poor shopper. I sent them a screenshot of my DOJ complaint reference number, and management (EVE) immediately called me back. when I caught up with her the next business day she tried to normalize the experience. she hadn't even looked at the inspection report. EVE made excuses for their own mechanics missing so many issues on the car, prior to them selling it. I think she told me their mechanic was out of town, and the car was listed w/o being run through by anyone. then she told me LUKE wasn't authorized to make deals (offering us $9k sale price). I demanded Cascade pay the inspection $162, and blasted her for the shady, unprofessional, and waste of our time experience. They actually did pay for the inspection, I made sure to double check w/ the amazing repair shop that saved us from these horrible people. EVE also put YELP reviews on blast, said YELP hides good reviews and only shows bad ones. just a horrible experience, but at least I have another good story to tell around the campfire.
