Great spot to buy new and used equipment. We have been going here for years. We have three kids and they have been rotating in and out a sports over the years and the crew at play it again has been very helpful in buying back or giving a store credit for our old sporting stuff. They're all very easy to deal with and they're very fair with selling and buying back or putting your items on consignment. If you're into skiing, you can do your season rentals here as well. Go early as they go quick.

After moving to Genoa in late 2020, it took awhile to direct my attention to skiing in general and Heavenly in particular. That happened through a combination of conversations with friends, a good deal on an EPIC Tahoe Value Pass, and realizing that it was about 20 minutes from the House to Heavenly's Boulder Lodge Parking. As far as the Skis, bindings, and boots went, I opted for a season-long rental package through BlueZone Sports in Carson City. I had to buy the poles separately and I already had Helmet, Goggles, and Ski Bib in hand. I ended up with Fischer RC Fire (165) skis with RS9 bindings, and Dalbello Vantage 4F Boots. Looking back on the season, I think that was a good combination, lacking any frame of reference to what might have been better. I went out to Heavenly 8 times during the season, which wasn't a lot, but was a good start, largely on groomed Blue slopes. I'll definitely be out next year and probably with purchased equipment. The BlueZone Sports shop at Lake Tahoe has a Labor Day sale for previous model skis and demos, so we'll see what happens. I was happy with the service that BlueZone provided at both the beginning and end of the ski season. I particularly appreciated the patience shown to this "old guy" as he initially ventured forth and then finished up with a great deal of Alpine satisfaction.

I needed a 2.5 barbell plate and pulled it off the rack with a sign clearly advertising $5.99. The plate does not have bar code on it. I bring it to the cashier (Keoni, according to the sales slip), and she looks it up in the computer and rings it at $48.99. I advise that the sign shows $5.99. She calls for assistant Manager, who takes the plate and I show her the sign. She tells me that she must "call corporate" to check price. I again point to the very clear sign showing 5.99. She disappears into an office with weight plate. Now, 2 other people are in front of me. While waiting, I see that on the computer screen is a TWENTY FIVE pound plate with the price showing $48.99. I advise Keoni that my plate is 2.5 pounds and she entered the wrong product in her look up. She does not apologize and I suggest that she go tell the asst manager of her error. She does not. Finally, a nice young man comes over to the front registers and I show him Keoni's error. She never admits she made a mistake. I show her on the plate where is clearly is stamped thart this is a 2.5 pound plate...and advise her that she did not enter the correct weight of the plate. She tells me to "quit whinning"..! Finally, the young man gets her to ring the item up at the correct price of 5.99 Several customer service failures: Keoni: entered the wrong item in the computer never admitted her error to the assistant manager Told me to "shop whinning" Never apologized to me Ass't Manager Knowing that Keoni is new, never verified that Keoni had entered the correct item in the look up Never looked up the item herself As we both were looking at the very clear sign showing the price, she should of "honored" the price show on the sign Went into the office and I never saw her again I want to talk (no voice mail) to the store manager...Please have him call me

On my recent visit the staff was super kind and all wanted to pet my dog. Some staff had treats ready. Their website has a massive selection so if it's not in the store they can get it shipped there. Any store that allows me to bring my dog inside always gets a better review. That lets me know if the employees are going to be nice or not right when I enter. Will return again soon!

When I arrived, Greg was there he checked out a gun which was practically brand new and had all the original paperwork, he gave me a top line price, which was more than what I expected, and the processor was very quick. Paul H And Chris took care of all the paperwork and within about 35 minutes I was out the door with cash in hand. I was advised if I had done a trade-in they would've been able to give me more money but quite frankly I'm very happy with what they offered. Sportsman's warehouse has a huge inventory of every kind of weapons and ammunition you could ever imagine. They are all so knowledgeable. They know their stuff. This store has everything from weapons to clothing to camping goods hunting goods even down to the best snacks you can imagine. While I'm at it, Debbie, who I believe is the software supervisor and handles all the clothes and shoes and things like that is a wonderful customer service person. The minute you walk in the door someone says hello, and they are extremely helpful. I highly recommend them.

Let me start by saying I live an hour away from this store location. I originally bought a pair of vans and got them home, tried them on and hated them. (I currently own another 16 or 17 pair). So I went back in to exchange them. Of course though, every one I picked out was out of my size...grrr so I talked to the manager and she said "let's look on the website and you can see all that we have available ". To me, that was a great idea. In fact hard choice. I chose new skool blue checkered and she asked what size I needed I said "I wear an 8", she went on with the process and had them being sent to my house so I did not have to make the hour drive again right away. Waited and waited, they finally came today (approximately 8-10 days later) and they are a MEN'S size 8!!! Now, I am positive I do not look like a man, and I've dealt with this manager on multiple occasions. It's not that she wasn't nice or helpful, she was, but NOW I have to drive the hour again to return these (thought it was resolved so that's providing I can find the receipt) and re-order the shoes all over again and then the waiting starts. I DID call the store, the young man that works there answered, he's awfully young, he tried to reassure me not to worry bc I have 90 days return them. For me it's the principal, the gas money (gas prices are through the roof) and the waiting 10+\- days to get the replacement! Maybe if they would have offered me some form of compensation I might not be as mad, but like I said he was young and I feel did his best.

They sell them in bags of 8 now, instead of requiring you like before to buy two bags of six for a dozen bagels. The new price is basically $5.00 for 8, so I guess the price per bagel has gone up, but what hasn't. HERE IS THE BIG NEWS! THE BAGELS ARE NOW WATER BOILED! I saw the big sign on the wall, "water boiled". What that means is they're more like real bagels like you would find in an actual bagel shop, a more dense and chewy bagel, yeah like New York, I guess, even though I've never been. The previous bagels were basically fluffy beard donuts! Costco ended their association with Einstein's bagels (the bread donut ones) and now makes their own using water boiling before baking at each store. I tried them and, whoa, what a difference, it way better. Maybe not totally as good as an actual bagel shop, but way better than what they had before. I used to avoid Costco bagels, but not any more. I have an executive membership that can get us in at 9am and the food court is all ready to go at that time. Hot dogs for the road with a soda too even! They all go hell, yeah! So we pull in and it's just before opening at 9 am. Plenty of parking, not like those big city Costco's at opening. We go in and I have my membership card scanned and head straight to the food court. I go up to the little kiosk thingy and tap in 5 hot dogs and sodas ... $7.50 the feed the whole crew! plus a little tax of course. The staff whips those out in no time and we fill our sodas. I like they switched back to coke products, I like them better than Pepsi products. Over at the condiments, we all squeeze out the mustard, relish and catsup on our dogs and sit at the open tables. These are a little messy to eat, so better make a mess at tables, than inside the Suburban! This was a nice tasty treat in the morning to keep everybody happy till we get to Sacramento. This is a really nice not crowded Costco!
