This is the place where all East Bay swim teams go to for their gear. We as novice swimmers (backyard pool) come here for my wife's swims suits and goggles. So my wife's Speedo googled finally broke which lasted over 5 years and needed to be replaced. They are specialty magnified goggles which you can't find at local pool store. I arrived at 11am when they opened. There was already a line which means, people come here for their needs. I waited my turn and when it came to me, the sales person gave me her full attention. She reviewed the goggles I brought in and looked on her selves to see if they had a direct replacement. They were not there so she went to the stockroom to see if they had an 8.0 magnification. (Wifey is legal blind without glasses). She only had a 7.0 which I bought. Wife is Happy again so "Happy Wife, Happy Life". She is swimming laps again since she can now see the pool walls coming up. I would Definitely Recommend this establishment. They know stuff and treat their customers with respect. read more

Terrible customer service. Bought and expensive pair of goggles and they broke within 10 days. Store says they recommend buying a different strap but that was not indicated online. Also, if you are selling a product that you recommend being altered you should sell it as such. Additionally, the person I originally spoke to said a manager would reach out but I got a generic email. We ended up buying a pair from Dick's and they gave us a 90 day return policy. read more

I realize it's the end of the summer rec season, and every little swimmer wants their parents to spend HUNDREDS of dollars on a tech suit. I am happy to do that IF I can make sure this suit fits my child. Your policy is "store credit" on all returns and you won't let my daughter try on the suit. From the owner, your response is THATS THE POLICY. You have failed at customer service today. You hurt a child's feelings and left her very confused and sad because we could not try on a suit to get an idea of the size we need because if we purchase it and get it wrong, we can't return it... keep your suit and your ridiculous "policy". read more

Called corporate HQ regarding the TYR "Flexfins". There's no budge on 30 days, not even 5 days over 30. Also, no budge on trying fins out. How do you know by trying on fins in the store if they will be comfortable in the pool. I highly recommend bringing your business online to swim outlet. Haven't had any issues there. Tried to support a mom and pop like Elsmore Swim Shop but this is the exact reason why I understand why people just don't care. read more

This swim shop is local and has many options available for all types of swimmer. Many different suit styles and swim gear. I loved this because I got to come in and try on different suit sizes and styles to find what I liked best for me. What I did not like about the swim shop was how unhelpful the staff was. There was no customer service. I am a long time swimmer and knew what I was looking for and what I needed to do so I did not really need help. However there was a family who came all the way from Pleasanton to try on a suit based on the swim team assignment. They were struggling on what size to get in the certain brand and style the team chose. The staff was not helping so I tried to tell them the size I thought to try as the mom was trying to fit her tall very thin daughter in a size 40 suit since it had more fabric. I helped guide them on what a good fit should look like after they were wandering the store and having questions that weren't being answered by staff. I feel like at a swim shop they should be ready for someone who does not know how a competitive suit should fit and help guide them in making a choice. Overall I got what I needed and the store had what you need as a swimmer. The customer service is lacking especially for those who don't know what they need to get/want. read more

I ordered 2 team suits with them and their system changed the sizes to an 18. There customer service was pretty horrible they only offered a discount on new suits. It is Unacceptable that a mistake with their system should be my fault. read more

We have driven by this swim shop and always wanted to stop in and shop and was excited to hear they would be suppling gear for our swim team this year. Went it and staff seemed unprepared for fittings and flustered. The frustration was real obvious when the older lady reprimanded some other kids earlier than turned on my boys for "running" around the store when my eyes were on them the whole time and witnessed them literally walking around because it was taking so long to pull their sizes for their fittings. Most of swim teams in the area cater to younger swimmers, so please be a bit more patient with your customers with kids as being better prepared on your end would allow them to get in and out more efficiently. read more

Went to Elsmore a few weeks back to purchase my daughters swim gear. The girl who helped us on a Saturday afternoon was very great, she was patient and educated about all the swim gear we needed. The Elsmore Swim Shop has been a great resource for our daughter's individual purchases, and this year they did an amazing job sourcing our high school swim team's suits. Due to the fantastic customer service and detailed follow-up by Corby, everyone on the team had a team suit in advance of our first regular season meet. When we are in the area, it is always a favorite stop so my daughter can see the merchandise in person and try on new suit styles. The staff has always been friendly, professional, and welcoming. Had a great experience with this store. I ordered a team suit via phone for my teenager based on measurements alone. When it arrived close to season start and was slightly short, I assumed I was out of luck! I called Corby and she found samples in-store to try on, tracked down the next size up to order, and had it shipped just a couple of days later. She was so helpful, communicative, and invested in us through the whole process...even though it was our first order there. We so often sacrifice customer support from a dedicated brick and mortar for the pure convenience of online shopping, but I'll be happy to support this shop for as long as I have a swimmer. read more

i ordered a team swim suit for my daughter and even though I measured her for the suit via their website measurements it was too small. I then had to pay $15 just to return it; only to be told it's not returnable and my shipping fee can not be returned either. there was no attempt to accommodate the customer and return the suit or even a portion of the money. Noe I am out $75 and need to purchase an entire new suit-it defiantly will not be with this company. they were curt and very to the point on the phone doing nothing to help. horrible policy and customer service was rude. read more

Recently I came into Elsmore with my 10 year old daughter to buy a tech suit for the Fall Season. Leigh and Corby were both a huge help in the process. As a father, I know nothing about female tech suits, other than it's critical they fit correctly. We chose to visit during school hours when there were less customers and couldn't have been more pleased with their level of expertise. Leigh guided us through suits from Arena, Speedo, and TYR. My daughter ended up trying on four suits and got a detailed evaluation after each one. This made the process easy and stress-free as a parent. Leigh and Corby also solicited as much feedback as possible from my daughter so she was invested in the choice also. From this visit, we are confident with the TYR suit we bought is the best suit for her body type and size. read more
