For Josh to be the owner, he has a real bad attitude and his customer service is bottom of the barrel poor. I've frequented this location often as I do the Buckhead and Buford location and I only return due to a pleasant experience. In past visits the staff has been helpful. The staff should give Josh some pointers on customer service. I usually get a few things but this time I put something back and cut the visit short. I understand this guys have to make a profit its a business, but remember they will pay you for your equipment only 33 percent of what they think they're going to sell it for. I bought this flat bench from them, it costed me $89.00 plus tax, then I brought it back and to sell it back to them; not return it (I just bought it 3 weeks ago BTW) Plus 3 pairs of used sparring gloves in fairly good condition, a punching/ striking shield and 2 hand held striking targets. All I got for all was: $33.00 Yep. They pretty much got all the sparring equipment for free. You could see in their face a repressed grin waiting to come out. Learned my lesson. I am not going back. If you're interested in selling used sports equipment think about it twice. Going there is not worth the gas you are going to spend. Oh,and they'll pay with a hand written check if you are getting more than $20.00 and you can only cash it at their bank. So that's it, hope it helps. Only one star. read more

Good selection of used equipment for almost any sportsy-type stuff at decent prices. It's not the kind of place for people that absolutely must have a brand-new bat...and I've known people like that. There is apparently, among some tiny sub-segment demographic group, a stigma attached to purchasing used things. I'm not goofy like that. I'm goofy in other ways. If you roll up with sports equipment to sell, you'll get three offers, in ascending order of monetary value: 1) An outright price to sell them the items. This is the smallest amount of cash that you'll get. To be precise, you'll leave with a check, not cash. Who does that in 2013? Play It Again Sports does, that's who. 2) A slightly higher offer in trade value on items in the store. Presumably, you can use the credit value immediately...but I'm not certain. 3) The highest figure is if you want to consign your stuff and share the proceeds with the proprietor(s). Of course, you might sit around for months before your stuff sells. I took my beautiful lady's son down with a load of gear that they didn't use or need any longer. We took the deal to sell the equipment outright. I thought that it was a fair offer. Others might be offended by the fractional valuation of the item relative to the original cost. Don't be. When you buy sports crap, you're paying a premium for discretionary goods. The markups are clownish. If you can't use the stuff any longer or it's taking up too much space, just go to PIAS and sell it to them. You might be able to get more money for it on Craig's List, but then you have to deal with functional retards that will try to talk you down to pennies on the dollar. You could list a kilo ingot of pure gold for $10 on Craig's List and nobody would buy it. But you'd have 37 jackasses pester you on the phone, offering you $3.18 or less. I chalk it up to the curious phenomenon that I term "Stuff that nobody understands." Friendly folks, lots (mountains, even) of sports gear, good prices. You need sports stuff, they have it. Go buy some. Or go sell some. Whatev. read more

Beware, beware, beware! The store must be under new management because this place has gone downhill in a hurry. Purchased a piece of equipment on Tuesday and was told that I had 7 days to exchange the item if I was unhappy with it. At the time of purchase, the manager asked for my name and phone number. When I returned 4 days later having misplaced the receipt, I was told there was nothing they could do about it--even when the employee saw the purchase on my store record. I have bought, sold, traded countless items there in the last 15 years, and after reiterating that fact, the 4 people behind the counter could not have cared less that they would be losing a customer forever. I will be advising all my friends in the Roswell and East Cobb area to never purchase equipment from this location. read more

I know it's a used sports store, but god forbid they set the bar a little higher here. This location is an absolute MESS. There's no organization at all, aside from a few signs hung from the ceilings indicating certain sports. There isn't even a soccer section! All of their cleats and balls are thrown together, they didn't even bother to separate them by size or sport. There's equipment stacked to the ceiling and thrown on the floor, and it all really just wreaks as if the equipment came straight off the playing field earlier that morning. And lastly, the staff. Two poor guys that don't even acknowledge kids treating the place like a jungle gym or stop to ask if I need help finding anything, let alone look me in the eye! Don't bother with this place, do yourself a favor and go to Dicks or Sports Authority and shell out the extra $5-10 for new, clean sports equipment. read more

The trailer was missing a piece and they order it for me and gave me and an additional discount for having to wait for it to come in the mail. I have only came here for baseball stuff - but the three times I have been here the knowledge of the the guys working in the baseball "department" is spectacular. My son has switched multiple positions in his 4 little years of playing so I feel the equipment and choices offered are great. The guys that help him with gloves and cleats and chest protectors are so knowledgeable- they have even given him tricks to use when in the field. I know that interests change often for the little guys so the value is there for me. Yes the area might be a little messy but it's only because they have a great selection. read more

I'm sorry to see the posts that describe a bad experience. In my case that was not true. My wife and I came by looking for an exercise machine and ended up finding a medium end one for about four times less than the same make and model found online. This model even had a "blue book" value that was 5 times more than the one in the store. I checked it out. It worked like new, so I purchased it. All we needed to do was clean it up a bit. (Perhaps the staff might spend some time cleaning their equipment to neutralize some of those complaints about odors). Also, I did notice that the store seemed a little overcrowded. Maybe reducing some inventory, reorganizing or considering a larger store might silent those complaints as well. Just some constructive criticism. Nevertheless, I will be coming back to shop for more deals. read more

Actually, I don't even want to give this business one star. They are the most disloyal business I have ever dealt with and I worked retail management for over 15 years with some of the best and this is definitely not the best. I have spent nearly $700 in this store in the last 12 months. I was in the store today to actually collect money for my first consignment with them. As I walked in I saw a basketball goal that I thought would be great for my 7 year old son who is currently in basketball camp and loving it. After talking with who I believe is either the owner or manager I put it on hold & I promised to get back to them by the end of the day after I speak with my husband. My husband and I agreed to buy it so I call the store at 1:30 to confirm the backboard size & tell them my husband would be there to buy it after work. My husband leaves work early & gets to the store where he sees a sold tag on the goal with another persons name. He questions the non interested employee about it and all he is told is it is sold. I call the store & speak to the guy I worked with & he says " yeah, I ran some errands and when I got back one of the employees sold to a man who he thought must have been your husband." Our last names are nowhere near the same mind you. So the man has only paid for it but not picked it up. So I say " well than it seems you need to call him and tell him you made a mistake in selling it to him." He says " yeah I'm sorry it was just a mistake." No loyalty what's so ever.
