I absolutely love this place. It has become one of my weekly guilty pleasures. It's a great place to go to get something that taste great and it's a healthier option. Service is always great. Everyone's very attentive and explains things very well. I love the surf shop vibes very beachy. It makes you wanna sit by the ocean.

I have tried Playa Bowls twice now by delivery. Both times I was very impressed. The portions are large and shareable. The fruit and all the ingredients are of the freshest quality. The bowls are also aesthetically pleasing. If you are on a wellness journey or trying to reduce sugar from your diet; try this place when you're craving an ice cream. The sweetners are natural like honey, agave, cacao nibs, figs, etc. I also tried a coffee. I liked it BUT if you are not familiar with the taste of chicory coffee I wouldn't recommend you purchase any of the coffee products from here. The oatmeal is yummy as well. I feel very healthy and good about dietary choices when I eat from here. I like that their menu is highly customizable. You can add things like protein, spurilina, goji berries, hemp seeds, and more.

The busy-ness was a testament to its popularity, yet it was comfy and relaxed because there was a variety of seating areas where one could enjoy their beverage and/or food. Many were reading, listening to personal headphones, chatting with friends. The atmosphere was lively. I loved that the menu had a variety of items on it... Definitely something for everyone. This is one of the few shops that have a delicious cardomom syrup. I actually ended up ordering a second beverage because the first one was so delicious!

And saw the "under" orientation of the toilet paper, which violates the original patent for toilet paper holders from 1891, where the paper clearly goes over the top. The "over" configuration: * prevents the roll from brushing the wall * makes it easier to grab with one hand * reduces accidental unrolling * and, most importantly, does not make decent people feel like they're living in a lawless society. What you have here is bathroom anarchy. I must admit that tile and brushed metal fixtures actually look really nice, which somehow makes the backward roll even more upsetting. It's like a beautifully plated meal served on the floor. Moreover, the ceiling contains approximately 400 judgmental eyes observing you while you attempt to live your life. The wallpaper on the ceiling (on the ceiling!!!) has a pattern based on the "evil eye" motif (sometimes called nazar), which shows up in Mediterranean and Middle Eastern design. Traditionally it's supposed to ward off bad luck or jealousy. All it does in this case is confirm the establishment has abandoned reason and at least one of the people who work has met a psychedelic mushroom. Still, the vibe everywhere else in this place is amazing and the coffees are very very good!

I saw people coming out of here! I didn't hesitate, I skipped right on across the street to see what I could see. The cutest Korean bakery! The same bakery you know and love from H Mart now has a stand alone location in the heart of downtown Frederick. I took a spin around, snapped some photos and then grab a tray to load up with goodies. I love that its self-serve. You can always get the one you want without the awkward and mostly ineffective pointing and direction giving from behind the glass lol. I picked up a nice mix or sweet and savories. I think my favorite was the spicy jalapeño ham & bacon roll. It was soft, spicy, salty, and just the right amount of sweet from the dough. You can order finer pastries, coffee, and boba tea from the counter and eat in or take it to go. I'll be coming here every time I'm in town for sure!

It turns out it was a Korean bakery & cafe which was unexpected for the area. We got the salt bread & egg tart which were both great! They also included an extra small pastry as a bonus which was nice. As for the teas, they were on the sweeter side so I wasn't the biggest fan. I wish we could adjust the sweetness and the boba was ok, it hardened up pretty quickly. I'd return for thr pastries but not the boba.

I ordered the Biscoff Cookie Butter milkshake at Swirls Ice Cream Shop in Frederick, Maryland, and I am not being dramatic when I say it gave me goosebumps and made my toes curl. One sip and suddenly I understood joy on a spiritual level. It was creamy, rich, perfectly blended, and tasted like angels crushed up caramelized cookies and decided to bless humanity. I genuinely sat there questioning every life decision that had not previously involved Biscoff. But Swirls isn't just about incredible ice cream and milkshakes, the place has personality and it's cute. On many Saturdays they host fun events that make it feel like a community party instead of just an ice cream stop. One weekend they had Elsa and Olaf from Frozen hanging out with kids, another time they had a beekeeper featuring honey milkshakes because apparently these people wake up every day asking themselves, "How can we make life more magical?" Mission accomplished. Swirls is the kind of place that reminds you simple things can still absolutely delight you. Great people, creative flavors, fun events, and a Biscoff milkshake powerful enough to alter brain chemistry. 11/10. My life can now officially be divided into two eras: Before Biscoff and After Biscoff.

Not a long list of ice cream flavors, but the ability to add from a pretty solid list of toppings / extras made each order even tastier. The staff was very helpful.

I'd say the food is a bit overpriced but I think their sweet potato fries are very good and seasoned and their herby ranch they give on the side is very amazing. I'd say it's not that good of a place to get work done as it's always decently packed and since it's small a bit loud at times.

It was definitely busy in there but not overwhelmingly loud. I ordered the smoked hash and shoutout to my waitress cause I asked for three changes to the ingredients and she was happy to do so! It was yummy, maybe could use a little more seasoning, but I really liked the incorporation of the sweet potatoes. I also ordered an iced banana foster latte. It was a really good coffee, you can taste the notes of brown butter in it! Again, want to shout out my waitress. She gave the best energy. I parked in one of the downtown lots and it was only three dollars! Would return to try other menu items.
