Huge shout out for players ink on the top notch customer service. Walked in on a Monday night to swap out my nose piercing. Was greeted almost immediately as soon as I walked into the door. Super clean and was taken care of almost immediately. Pricing was really fair and the piercer was friendly and communicative throughout the whole process. The piercing shop very clean & welcoming! My friend and I walked in around 5 pm and we were able to go in and out of the shop. There is street parking on the outside, I'm not sure if there's any other parkings but it was pretty easy to find parking! I got a conch piercing with a hoop for $55 and my friend got her helix piercing for $45. Adrian was very nice & informative on how to take care of the piercings. I would go again for another piercing! read more

I went to get my right nostril pierced it was at the time i believe $40 something... It has been now been roughly two years and my piercing has healed great! okay so the swelling went down finally but guess what lol... i have a hole in my face where you can see the side of the dermal anchor. he twisted so hard that the back of the dermal sliced my face open. i didn't notice till i finally got the jewelry taken out and come to find out he was twisting the wrong way the whole time lol. probably going to be calling cause i don't remember singing any liability forms. read more

Place looked pretty clean. No wait time was a plus. My friend and I both got nose piercings I got my septum she got a nostril. It was quick and easy. I took two stars off because both piercings were 75$ which seems a bit pricey and he didn't tell us till after. We though they're we're initially 60$ plus the 15$ off coupon making them 45$. The second star because they didn't honor the 15$ off coupon which is still posted on yelp. "We haven't honored that since COVID" well why is it still up. The last issue which isn't a super big deal is he included solution in my friends price but not mine. I'm sure he was just hitting on her. read more

The ambiance of this place is cool. Came on a busy day and needed to wait quite a while, but there's a pool table and TV, so it wasn't so bad! Got my septum done here years ago, and it was a painless and smooth experience. Adrian was my piercer, and he did a great job at calming me down for my first face (non ear?) piercing. He was also super verbal throughout the process, counting me down and letting me know when the jewelry was going in. 10/10 experience! My most recent experience was for my helix, which was less great. Not sure who my piercer was, but he seemed to be in a bit of a hurry. Got a little bit of blood in my hair, wasn't as smooth with the jewelry switch out, and didn't communicate throughout the process. The piercing itself is fine though! Street parking only :-( read more

I got a labret done by Adrian "Lemus" in January of this year and can say after 6 months my piercing has healed. I had no problems and minimal pain when getting it done. Lemus is clean, patient and mindful of the process which makes for a comfortable session. I have been back about 3 times to have my progress checked and he has been more than helpful with checking it out. Honestly the worst experience I've had with a piercing. I was recommended by a friend so I went, and my first suspicion should have been that I was never given a choice of jewelry like other piercers usually give. He simply said "we're going to use titanium" & pulled out a pair of earrings. Also, I think he wore the same pair of gloves during my entire piercing and then for piercing my friend's belly button right after. Literally the next day, my earlobe was bleeding so much -- I know it can be normal but this was unusual. I had to get it checked by another piercer, who said the hole was way too large for the jewelry in place, making him think that the material was either disclosed incorrectly or the piercing wasn't done right. read more

5 star all the way. Sure the place is older and may not be as "upscale" as some. But you're going there for piercings right? That's all I care about. Adrian is the kindest most kicked back chill piercer you will find. I think he's been doing it a while cause he's skilled. He's muscular and manly but so incredibly gentle and actually tries to calm and relax you. You can tell he cares about his work and the people he works with. Always friendly, always personable. Excellent job piercing. I'm so excited about my sternum piercing and will only go to him for piercing from now on. Does just as good of as a job probably better than places who charge double and aren't as friendly. The fact that he's pretty cute too helps ;-) Thanks Adrian. I never leave reviews, but this place was so bad that I feel morally obligated to write my first one. DO NOT GET PIERCINGS HERE! They do not know what they're doing. they GAVE ME THE WRONG PIERCING, then pierced the correct one after I looked in the mirror and nearly cried. Then charged me for two piercings. They poorly sterilize their jewelry/needles (they rip off pieces of bounty paper towel to wipe it off with cleaning solution). They tried to pass off stainless steel as surgical steel (IM ALLERGIC TO STAINLESS STEEL). Aftercare instructions were to clean my piercings with hydrogen peroxide (NEVER do that). Usually piercers will draw a dot on the area where they'll pierce, show you a mirror & ask you to confirm that's where you want it, the pierce. He didn't do this. I thought he was drawing a dot, but no, before I knew it there was a needle through my flesh. Usually piercers will tell you to breathe in, then they'll pierce when you breathe out. The guy just said "breathe" so I inhaled, and he pierced during the inhale. Wtf. IT'S THE EXHALE THAT HELPS WITH THE PAIN, NOT THE INHALE Also there were no covid protocols apart from masks. many people inside, no air circulation. Finally they are NOT taking the Yelp coupons ($50 for $75, or $15 off first piercing), so idk why they still leave those up. actually I know why, it's shady business Im praying my ear doesn't get infected. You're better off ordering a needle and jewelry off Amazon and doing it at home yourself. These guys are not professionals. I didn't get my piercer's name, but he had black slicked-back hair, tan complexion, and an accent read more

After roaming the city hoping to find a piercer to pierce me without an appointment on Saturday, I remembered this place that I came to with my friend to get his nose pierced a couple years ago. I finally decided to get my naval re-pierced for the third time, haha! Although it was my 3rd time, I was still nervous because I can't handle pain. We have completed one session of three for our matching tattoos. Chris has been absolutely awesome to work with. We provided him a picture of a sea turtle we took in Maui and explained we wanted the turtle represented in a tattoo. He did upsell us a bit, adding coral and water to the tattoo idea... but boy are we glad he did! His instincts were 100% correct. We were blown away by the design he made for us and we started the process the next day. I will update this review as the other two appointments roll around - but so far we are thrilled to be working with Chris on our first tattoos. The shop CAN be a little intimidating to people who are unfamiliar with the process, but these guys really know what they are doing. I received a nose piercing here and my piercer was wonderful. He spent so much time with me, explaining his placement, redoing it several times, showing me what would look best on my features and what wouldn't. He was clearly super experienced and educated in his work. I am someone who always asks "why?" and it was a big green flag that my piercer (I wish I remembered his name) could answer every question with confidence and in a way I could understand. Had heard great things about getting piercings with Adrian so I decided to have him do my inner conch (about a week and a half ago). He was super kind, funny, and patient. I went in nervous cause I've only gotten my ears pierced with the clicking mini guns but this required a needle he was super helpful with teaching me tricks to make the pain hurt less... but tbh my ear only got red for about an hour or less and doesn't even hurt now. I came in yesterday to get a hoop nose ring and the guy who helped me was extremely kind (I remember I asked for your name but I completely forgot it im sorry!) he gave me a ton of great advice for the short time that we had together. Instead of selling me the hoop like most places would, he recommended I get a stud instead so my nose can heal properly and even put it in for me. I just wanted to write this to say how thankful I am of great customer service not only for me but for my girlfriend that bought some piercings as well. Lying to customers at the expense of their patrons' health! Players Ink should be ashamed. I came a few months ago to get a new hoop for an old cartilage piercing. The employee told me all of their jewelry were surgical steel and safe for piercings. I selected a cute hoop that I liked, which he confirmed was surgical steel, and even tipped the employee for all his help! Everything was good and I was content. Fast forward to months of agony and irritation, pain, swelling, redness, and itchiness on a previously healed piercing. I finally take out the hoop jewelry this evening and low and behold, the jewelry was brassy and green! It had been causing a major reaction to my ear and having me in agony and turmoil for months. They sold me fake, unhealthy metal under the guise of being safe surgical steel for my piercing. I am disappointed and saddened. My ear really hurts and I haven't had a good night's rest in months. Now that the piercing is out, I have to risk it closing before I can get SAFE jewelry for it from another shop. I am extremely disappointed and do not recommend Players Ink for piercing jewelry at all. read more

This is why you should ALWAYS go to licensed and APP professionals. So we talked over the rest of my list of wants, and came down to the last one I had a good anatomy for. I was not super prepared (pro-tip, trim the nose hairs before you do this one or your pics of it freshly done will be scary) and I hadn't really thought about jewelry options for it. Karissa took her time with me and helped me pick out a pretty little captured bead that I was pretty sure I could live with while it healed. (I have the jewelry attention span of a ...oh looook a shiny new piece of jewelry....) As always, she was professional and explained the steps to me, and warned me what to expect during the first few weeks of healing. I am very happy with it, it's healing nicely, and I cannot wait to go, in September, and have the captured bead ring switched out for something else, once it's all the way healed. But as I wrote this 7 months out, I have to say I am incredibly disappointed by the jewelry. I was told the jewelry was high quality, and if it breaks I just need to bring it in to get fixed. The problem is, what happens when it breaks and I don't have it? I got 4 ear piercings in November and as of today, 3 of those 4 have fallen out and gotten lost. The first was in February, the second in May and the third one today. And these aren't cheap earrings. I spent nearly $1,500 for these and to have them disappear after normal wear is incredibly disheartening. Would I go back, I don't know. Maybe. But I have to believe there is a place with just as nice people and less expensive jewelry that doesn't just fall out of the ear during the healing process.

By the time we realized it, everything was moving so quickly and we were already there, so we decided to go through with it. The staff was patient and professional throughout the appointment, and the piercing itself was completed efficiently. However, the overall experience didn't quite match the premium price point. We paid around $300, which I expected, but I'm not sure the experience justified the cost. One thing that stood out was the amount of information sent before the appointment and posted online. While I appreciate being informed, it felt overwhelming and difficult to navigate. The website and instructions could be simplified quite a bit. When we arrived, the owner came to our car wearing a large face shield mask, which honestly startled us. I think the appearance made everyone extra scared. Overall, the service was fine and the staff was patient, but I was expecting a warmer, more bubbly experience, especially for a business focused on babies and young children. The biggest disappointment was learning that a piercing gun was used. Because of that, I'm not sure we would return, but the experience wasn't bad enough to warrant a lower rating.

I do not think they keep track of appointments and, if they do, I simply cannot imagine how. I have tried texting and the response I get every time is "ok", even if I ask a question in my appointment request. I've tried making an appointment online and the appointment slots are always available and open, which can't be true. While in the salon, I've seen them answer the phone when someone calls to make an appointment, they are always on speakerphone, and I have never seen anyone write anything down after the phone call, they say ok and then just continue to work. Out of the 5 or 6 times I've been here I have only been seen at the time of my appointment once. Once! I am often waiting 30-45 mins and I stay because I have a very tight schedule and make appointments on the only days I can. I'm currently sitting waiting for my 5:00 appointment and it is 5:40 and there are 5 others also waiting, though I don't know what time their appointments are or were. (At 5:06 my manicurist asked me to wait 15 mins and I said fine....but I ended up leaving at 5:45 because she was doing someone's pedicure.) I have always been happy with the services I've received here and their prices are reasonable, which are the reasons for the 2 stars, but I simply will not be back due to their constant lack of respect of "appointment times".

Ok. This is a tough review because, technically, it's not a review for Players Ink, because there are individual artists working in the establishment. First, I will say that the store is big, open and very clean. Also, I should mention that I've spent over $1k at Players Ink in the past 6 months, bringing them 5 new customers and continue to recommend it to others who ask. However, I've just experienced one of the worst service failures in any customer oriented environment ever. Rafael, who, by the way, is an awesome artist, has done work on 2 of my nieces, my sister and myself. So, I scheduled an appointment 2 weeks out for my nephews tattoo and dropped off the sketch for some work the night before the appointment. We arrived for the appointment, and was told he was running 30 minutes behind schedule. 2 hours later from our scheduled appointment time, still no update from Rafael, I see him grab his car keys and say that he's leaving. Then, he catches sight of us waiting, goes back to his buds and appears 10 minutes later to tell us that he has to leave and that Ali will be doing the tattoo. So, okay, Ali is awesome, she did my tattoo the day before and I love it. But, no work had been done on the sketch and given it's a 3 hours job, there was no way that we could stay. So, we scheduled the next day with Ali. Upon arrival, she had the artwork complete and was ready to go. She did an AMAZING job on his tattoo and I was grateful for her diligence and professionalism. In summary, I would not recommend Rafael given his lack of care for the customer (yes, even those who have patronized him many times). However, Ali is the bomb and if you are thinking about Players Ink for your next tattoo or piercing, call Ali. Trust me, read the other reviews and you'll see similiar comments with respect to lack of service, but again, this is related to individuals, not the entire establishment. THANK YOU PLAYERS INK! I had a great experience getting my nose stud switched to a hoop today. Everything was clean, and the staff were super friendly and welcoming. I walked in and only waited about 10 minutes, which was really convenient. It was my first time at this shop, and I was a little nervous since I've never switched a piercing myself before, but I'm really glad I came in to have it done professionally. The piercer (I unfortunately didn't catch his name) took a look at my nose stud and helped me choose the perfect hoop. The whole process was quick, easy, and completely painless. I was in and out in under 20 minutes! Overall, I had a smooth and comfortable experience, and I really appreciate how efficient and kind everyone was. THIS is the place to go. I just did a review on another studio where i got my lip pierced AND they screwed it up... I SHOULD HAVE GONE HERE TO PLAYERS! THEY ARE SO MUCH BETTER! My mother went here to get a tattoo extention here at Players by Andre, Elizabeth helped me take my lip ring out, and was basically like "why was it done off center?" Players IS the place to go. Everyone there is SO personable and nice. As I said my mother got a tattoo extention there. the first part to the tattoo she got at Players, when Andre was extending on her tattoo, he touched up his original work! WOULD ANY OTHER PLACE DO THAT?!?!?! and in all the whole tattoo cost $60!!! Players may be a little on the pricy side... After reading the awesome reviews for Andre at Player's Ink, my friend and I decided to have him do our tattoos today. I'm happy to report that Andre is just as awesome as everyone says he is. Andre is an extremely friendly guy with loads of patience. He is willing to do whatever it takes to make sure you get exactly what you want. He's a gifted artist and I couldn't be happier with the work he did for me today. I wanted a cross on my back but something unique. I gave him a necklace which I love and asked him if he could replicate the shape which he did with total accuracy. Players is one of the best around. If you bring in an idea, and have a general idea that MIGHT NOT look too good, the artist will tell you. At least thats what Ally did with me (I believe that was her name). She helped me out a lot. Thinking of the idea I had in mind before she started, the colour would have not looked the same... Adrian is the one whom I trust to do my piercings, he even changes them. So if you have a piercing that you dont trust yourself to change, go here. Last Friday evening I went to Players Ink to get my nostril pierced, based on a recommendation from my daughter. I called twice before I went, to get information about the piercing. Amanda took both my calls, and was very informative and helpful, and very sweet. When I showed up, Amanda was there, but Adrian did the piercing, as Amanda is still learning. Adrian was friendly, skilled and efficient. The piercing was quick and easy. Players has a large space, and is clean and tidy. I went to House of Pain in Santa Clara originally to get the first part of my Tattoo, I was not HAPPY with the work, but content. It was what I wanted, but getting the second spot of work done at Players I was MUCH more satisfied. Even the artist who did my work Ally said this was not that good of work that the guy at House of Pain did. I have gotten all my piercings except one done here, and I regret that. So I don't go here for tattoos(cuz i don't have any yet) but I do get my peicings done here. I have to say I love Adrian. He makes me feel comfortable and I have never had a problem with any of my peircings. I have had my lip and septum done by him and I will go back to get more. Had an appointment a few days ago that had been booked for a few weeks. It was so hot and unbearable in there that I had to reschedule my session because the A/C was broken. I got something done on my side and as others know side tattoos hurt (all tattoos hurt) but josh made the whole process easy and fun. Andre is DaVinci reincarnated. When i first met him, he fixed a jacked up tattoo I had gotten somewhere else. I've had 2 more pieces done by him since then. I met him when I was working at a tow company in San Jose and he came to pick up his motorcycle. If I remember correctly I came in on 8/1/25 and Nhi took care of getting me the paperwork to fill out and did the actual piercing. Nhi did an amazing job! I barely felt anything and the piercing came out great! I spoke to Trung after about possibly getting another tattoo finished/touched up so in time I'll make another appointment for that. Also, the shop is pretty small so I don't recommend bringing lots of friends. Overall I met Nhi and Trung and they're very chill and will work with you on getting what you want. Highly recommend this shop for all your tattoo/ piercing needs!

I reached out to him and his booking manager over IG and it was a super easy process to do. The day of my appointment, I was super nervous! Orly is super personable, calm, and friendly. He asked what I had in mind and if I had any pictures to go off of and he went from there. He got some assistance from Bong, who was a guest artist that week and I couldn't have been more thankful! My first visit was for a partial cover-up that transitioned into a tribal tattoo. I researched very carefully because I was intentionally seeking women tattoo artists who specialize in tribal work. The story I'm telling through my tattoos matters deeply to me, and respect for symbolism is essential. That search led me to Mel. After seeing her work, I booked a consultation--and she more than lived up to her reputation. In fact, she exceeded my expectations so much that I returned to have the tattoo extended straight down my spine (which is AWESOME!!!) My long-term project is to have women tattoo artists visually gift my life story in Polynesian and Filipino tribal styles across the entire right side of my body. While I also proudly wear tattoos by male artists on the other side--chosen just as intentionally--I want this side to honor women artists who truly understand and respect tribal symbolism. Mel is absolutely among the best. A few weeks ago, I returned during Humble Beginnings' Black Friday flash sale and got a rose tattoo on my arm--this time by Kim. She did such an incredible job that I'm already planning to go back to her for a rose half-sleeve. I'll also be returning to Mel to continue work on my leg and complete another section of my side. Every time I'm in the studio, I find myself watching the other artists work and feeling completely inspired. Their talent is next-level. Honestly, I'm tempted to get tattooed by every artist there! As long as I have canvas for it! Every artist at Humble Beginnings is incredibly skilled, and having their work represented on your body is absolutely worth it. If you're looking for artistry, intention, and a studio that truly feels like home--this is the place.
