Went to pick up at 30 minutes, the workers don't recognize my order, then listening to the cook they said they didn't get and hadn't made it yet. Then I waited in my car and they called me and said it was ready and read me the wrong order, I said no it was 2 larges not two mediums. Long story short an hour later, got the pizzas home and they were practically cold, did I mention I live 1/4 mile away? Not going back. Noticed it's been going downhill. We love the pizza here. We have a tendancy to eat large at lunch so that is our experience . The lunch special gives you your own pizza with any amount of toppings. With a salad bar that is barely adequate. The price is right and the pizza is excellant. There are lots of games and big TVs for those who like distraction with their pizza. So I'm just passing through California. I ask Siri where I can find a calzone near me she takes me here. I walk in and the place is packed and everyone in the place is having a great time. I walk to the counter and place my order for a large calzone. Now it came to 20$ I should have know then something was up. But when I revived my calzone in a pizza box I was even more shocked I had portions for 4 people in one box and the food is amazing as all hell. the pizza is decent. It's difficult to make a bad pizza. I think that most of the meats are frozen, but that's common for a pizza place. Most of the staff in that place are very nice. I have had some bad experiences with one that I believe was a manager. I don't remember her name. I have been in there I few times and i believe she wears a camo hat on occasion. Not only was she rude to me, but I watched her treating her co workers badly. I imagine that business isn't easy to work at but to have to work with that person has to make it worse. The two people I can remember that made that place great were Amber, and Kristi. There are many good employees there., It just seems like the owner may not know whats going on in that place. I gave it a few tries and because of one woman I will go to Round Table instead. This place has the best food in the small town of Anderson. Pizza is amazing Sandwhich selection is really good as well. There service with a smile and great customer service. Updating my previous review as we came by here again. I was blown away this time. Service was extremely quick and the employees are so nice. Our food was ready quick and was extremely tasty. While we were here I had a great conversation with the owner of the arcade games while he was doing what looked like a couple of repairs/putting toys in the machines. He was extremely nice and helpful. He even gave my kids a few free plays on some machines as a thank you for supporting the local businesses. My two-year-old granddaughter's birthday party was held here several weeks ago. The pizza was delicious and served hot, which is not usually expected when we had so many served at the same time. The staff was very friendly as well. I had noticed a significant safety issue with their Bounce House so I wrote an email to them after returning home. Love reading honest reviews on food places as I read them before trying a new place. So this pizza place was quite busy. The Salad bar was one of the worse I've ever seen , something in the salad tasted like a fermented sour cream ( think it was veggies) . But the selection wasn't that great either. So yes going for the salad wouldn't be a good idea. So now on to the pizza. The crust is quite good and the amount of cheese on the pizza was amazing, though you might want to ask for extra sauce ( pizza dry) from lack of sauce. The pepperoni was cooked to long making it taste like burnt bacon. But all in all these are minor complaints. I would recommend them changing pepperoni to one that bleeds the juices so that pizza has that great taste . I would go back to this place again because it's still above the average pizza places around this area. But salad bar .... stay away from it. read more

I have frequented players pizza often over the past decade including having multiple parties over the years in their party room. The only reason I am giving 2 stars is because I am taking into account previous good experiences. Today's experience was extremely disappointing however. I placed my order online at 4:57 pm and it said delivery expected at 6:27. When my food was 15 minutes late I called the store to check and I was told the driver just left and it would be there in 15-20 minutes. I was also told the online ordering system was out of date and I should have called my order in. How am I supposed to know the online ordering system offered on the website isn't going to work as it should?? It would have been understandable and acceptable if the store would have just called to say my order would be late but I wasn't even offered that courtesy. It was also a little irritating that it has me give a tip ahead of time (which I gave a tip). My food ended up arriving 30 minutes late and wasn't even hot. Super disappointing to spend so much on pizza and have terrible customer service when I asked for my tip to reimbursed because of the inadequacies. Also, no offer for delivery fees to be reimbursed or anything. I have several options for pizza delivery and I will be utilizing any of them except for this restaurant in the future. read more

This place is amazing! Some of the best pizza in Shasta county! The new owner is doing a great job cleaning up the place and really putting a personal touch on things. Beer selection is growing and the sit and serve on Wednesday's is a great way to try different pizza. The dessert pizzas during the sit and serve that are to die for! I had seen their pastrami sandwich one time on the table when we went there for beers. It looked very large and inviting. But the last time we went there with my friend we were disappointed. To summarize it, we both ordered the pastrami sandwich. Half of my sandwich barely had any pastrami on it. Yet another lackluster dinner. Having never eaten there we thought we might give it a try. We ordered a large pizza with everything, two salads and ice teas. The salad bar was typical and the iced tea dispenser shot out mostly water. The pizza arrived and looked rather withered. Although it wasn't overly greasy it was otherwise bland and rather tasteless. Very little sauce and cheese; frozen packaged sausage product; tasteless cheese; mushrooms cut as thin a rice paper and dry, ditto for the pepperoni. I am a pizza connoisseur of sorts, and I have tried pizza in many many places. Oregon, Colorado, Louisiana, NM, Texas, Nevada....and I'm Italian and my grandma made amazing pizza, as do myself and my husband. This is pretty bomb pizza, and their sandwiches are pretty great too. Party room...well the play area really... could definitely stand to be fixed up a bit more child friendly, and a bit more clean. But other than that this place is awesome. The price for the birthday pizza, the amount you get is well worth it. And even if you're not partying or buying on a day of specials it's worth the price. I've been here a few times and it's usually great service and food. I've had a variation of different pizzas, turkey pesto sandwich, and sides. It's family friendly and they are local. I went in to pick up a cheese and jalapeño fries for take out and I was expecting to pay the 4.99 listed in the restaurant. My total was 7.50ish which was off, I pointed out that the posted price said 4.99, and their take out menu said 5.99, but it was ringing in 6.99. The guy in the back told me he would adjust it to the 5.99, I just didn't like how they handled it and it made me feel awkward for noticing all the different prices. Again, a few bucks is not a big deal but it could have been taken care of in a better way. read more
