We got our first dog Duffy (formerly known as noodle) in January 2014. He was a 12 week old red miniature poodle who was leftover from Christmas. He has been the biggest joy of our lives but that being said I would not recommend you buy from playful pets. When we went in (several times) pups roamed around and the conditions were dirty. We expressed interest in noodle and were told if we took him right then he would knock 50$ off the price. Basically so the store owner didn't have to pay for his care any longer. We took the deal bc the prices were already inflated. Duffy soon developed a horrible kennel cough as soon as we brought him home. He also had giardia a stomach bug. We were reimbursed by the store for his medications for both but we specifically asked if there was illness there and they lied right to our faces. He had a really tough time health wise his first few months which made us really sad. The owner of the shop couldn't care less. I was so happy to rescue my dog from that dump, but I would love nothing more than to see them shut down so they don't keep buying more dogs and leaving them in those negative conditions. Breaks my heart.

Purchased a Samoyed for almost $3,500 cash on 1/14/2023. They told me he had kennel cough and sent me home with medication. When I took him to the vet they suggested, he was diagnosed with pneumonia. He had to stay at the hospital for four days (an hour away from us) we contacted the pet store to let them know, and was told that we would be called back that day. They didn't call us back until he was home from the hospital. Beth was not empathetic to my family or our distress. He is currently still on medication. As new puppy parents this experience was very emotionally upsetting. Their approved vet said they should have never sent the puppy home with us in the first place, while he was on antibiotics medication. It is 1/31/2023 and he is still coughing a bit but getting better. They say he is AKC registered, but when I called the AKC to give his new name, they said he is not in the system. Beware. Just beware.

Came in to look at a specific puppy I saw online, was in and out within about an hour. The staff was friendly and helpful the entire visit and let me hang out with the dog for a while before I made a decision. Super happy with our baby Kevin and experience here!

The care, compassion and kindness that they gave Daisy and I were unmatched. Really amazing experience !. Maureen showed so much compassion when I called and followed up to get Daisy in quickly. Marissa and Chastine checked on Daisy often while we waited and made sure she was comfortable. They, gave her water and love. They even came out to meet us at the car to make sure we entered thru the right door. I was really impressed with Dr. Aime Berman. She was working on a cat that had swallowed a piece of yarn that had tangled up her intestines. The yarn was stuck in several places but she didn't give up. She didn't call it. She worked until she completely removed the yarn. That is the kind of vet I want. One that doesn't give up. She really cares. They are opening a clinic here to treat animals and are open for appointments now. If you need veteran care for your pets I highly recommend you give them a call. The care is excellent and the prices you can't beat. They were one third the price of other vets. They want to help people keep their pets and give their pets the care they need. Give them a call. I'm so glad that I did.

We knew we weren't looking to replace them--we simply hoped to find two cats who needed us as much as we needed them. That's when we met Scout, an eight-year-old mother, and her six-year-old son, Shadow, at the Montgomery County SPCA in Conshohocken, PA. From the moment we arrived, the staff were welcoming, friendly, and kind. They immediately offered us a tour. The facility was bright, clean, well cared for, and, most importantly, there was no unpleasant odor. We told them we were hoping to adopt two cats, and then we met Scout and Shadow. Scout was friendly and curious, while Shadow wouldn't even look at us--he simply slept. We learned that they had belonged to an elderly gentleman who could no longer care for them. It was clear that this mother-and-son pair were deeply bonded, and we knew we wanted to keep them together. The staff even insisted that we take home the beds they had been using. One was a little Christmas tree with a "hole" where Scout liked to hide. That small gesture meant so much to us. When we first brought them home, they hid together. But little by little, they began to trust us. Shadow started coming into our bedroom at night, and Scout eventually ventured out during the day and would sit beside us. Today, they are completely acclimated and are rarely far from us. Scout is my daytime companion, while Shadow remains my nighttime companion. We are so incredibly grateful to the Montgomery County SPCA for bringing these two wonderful bundles of joy into our lives. They have brought us so much love, laughter, and companionship, and they have helped heal our hearts after the loss of our beloved cats.

I am a fish breeder, so this review is strictly for their fish section and customer services…read morerelated to fish. Like most other pet stores (especially regarding fish), it is hit or miss. For a while i brought fish here to trade for store credit and would use the credit to get new specimens to freshen the gene pools of my aquariums full of home bred and raised livebearers. Unfortunately, most of the fish i got from here ended up dying within a week or so. I am not sure if it is issues with bad genetics, stress, water chem etc.. All i know is i have established tanks full of a few hundred fish being born, raised and moved on at any time and the only fish i have that die are the ones I get from this store. I do have a healthy Bristlenose Pleco i got from here, and one stunning sailfin molly, so it is not all bad. However, i can say with confidence that 9/10 of the livebearers (swordtail, molly, guppy, platy) i get from here don't make it a month. It is really nice of them to offer credit for stock, (honestly it should be standard but not all stores do it) but unfortunately not only were the fish I was buying back unhealthy, the supplies/food i would buy from there was priced higher than i see elsewhere. Brenden and Cole are 2 really nice and friendly guys who care about the animals and the customers.
