I had an extremely disappointing experience with this dealership. After purchasing my certified vehicle, I was promised my plates, registration, and the manufacturer key fob that should come with a Honda Certified Pre‑Owned car. None of these were provided in a timely or professional manner. My temporary tag expired on 3/30/26, yet I still had no plates or registration. Despite multiple attempts to get updates, I was repeatedly told there was "no information," and at one point was even told I "shouldn't get pulled over," which was completely unacceptable. Many of my messages went unanswered, and communication overall was inconsistent and dismissive. When I finally received a photo of a key fob, it wasn't even the correct one for my vehicle. I was told it "didn't matter," which is not true for a certified vehicle that is required to include the proper manufacturer key fob. As of today, I still have not received the correct key fob. I eventually had to call the dealership's DMV department myself, where I learned that the employee handling my paperwork was no longer with the company and that a signature mismatch had caused the delay. My plates and registration finally arrived on 4/10/26 -- long after my temporary tag expired. I was also informed that it would take a month to receive a refund for the registration fees, even though I was charged far more than the actual state cost. Because of the dealership's failure to provide required certified‑vehicle equipment, I also had to escalate the issue to Honda Corporate. I've repeatedly told them I'm not interested in purchasing a car at the moment, but they continue to harass me every single day. It's ridiculous and infuriating. Photos attached for proof of them calling me daily! They've been calling me since April. And it died down over the summer after I picked up and told them, "No, thank you, I am not in the market for a car." They said no problem. But for some reason, it is a problem because the phone calls have been non-stop since August. You would think they'd have common sense and stop calling a phone number that never answers their calls since it likely means they're uninterested. But no, daily phone calls to my number and voicemails as well. I guarantee that when I find myself in need of a new car, I will not be coming here. They can not follow simple directions of removing someone from their call list. My number is on the national do not call registry, and its been on there since 2022. I don't even know where to start with these dealerships. I called ahead of time to check out two cars later that day and they said that both cars will be available. I came into the dealership and to my surprise, one of the cars was sold and the other was in service. I get a call two days later saying both cars are available. I double check later in the day and am told both cars are sold. Fed up, I spoke to management and they said that both cars did indeed sell and it was a miscommunication. The first car sold recently but the car that was "in service" sold 2 weeks prior and no one told me. So I made an appointment for two "available" cars that were actually sold. I was looking for a specific used car that they had on all the websites (CarGurus, Carfax etc.) and needed to buy quickly and would be buying outright. I wrote expressing interest and called - both spoken and written, shared my situation and was told the car was available and could I come right away. I agreed and said given a concussion from the collision that gave rise to my needing a new car, I wanted to avoid heavy traffic hours, especially as I live over 100 miles away in the Catskills. We agreed upon me arriving mid morning. I made the trek and was greeted by a sales person named Amin. He didn't even know what car I was there to drive despite multiple texts confirming. I thought that was odd, but handed over my license and waited. He returned to tell me the car was not even on the property. I was aghast. I told him how egregious the situation was, he agreed. I said, "would you want your mother or grandma to drive 120 miles through NJ, Manhattan and half of Brooklyn with a concussion to be so misled?". He concurred not. I asked for the sales manager, and this person, Santiago, approached me and very unapologetically restated the situation, suggesting I come back another time. I commented he had not remotely apologized, and he stared at the ceiling while muttering an apology. I said, " look me in the eye when apologizing". I mean, come on! Human decency! Amin escorted me back to my rental car. It occured to me how much I wanted that car, I had even researched where I could drop the rental, how far away a bank branch was so I could get a cashiers check to buy outright, and I had even already ordered a model specific back seat cover for my dog. I was ready to commit. I walked back into the dealership and asked Santiago (still nonchalant, but borderline hostile given I had insisted on a proper apology) for the name of the GM. I got that and left. Two or three days later a female sales person called me inviting me back down without acknowledging the situation, which I detailed for her. She said that was why she called me, rather than a male sales person because as a female, she would never treat me that way. Ok. I said the only way I would consider coming back is if the GM called me himself to apologize. I heard from her two more times, never heard from him. I guess I have to return the backseat dog cover. This is the most unprofessional dealership I have ever been to. I purchased a 2025 Tucson limited took it in for servicing because the check engine light was on. I wanted a new tire because one of my tires had three nails in it. They bought my car back out to me Tire pressure low on the brand new tire, warning signals still flashing on my car when I questioned it everyone's looking at me as if I have three heads. They input the credit information incorrectly and set off a fraud alerts in the credit bureaus. They kept us there all day and we left with a ton of issues. This place is among the biggest of legal scam locations I have ever seen. I am now a two time customer and could speak from experience, my first auto must have been taken care of by the previous owner. My newer vehicle however was a much more different situation. The used vehicle still had the stock breaks the original owner had on it. when I mentioned to the service desk about hearing a scrapping noise and notifying them to check the breaks, I was told they didn't need to be changed [My first visit]. When I initially came to Plaza it was very referral threw my brother, I never would have imagined that I would have been scammed. I ENDED UP playing way more for a vehicle that was listed on their website for 16,594 and ended up playing way more. 3,160 was added onto the initial car price and I was told that this was service fees, after leaving the dealership I went over the contract that was given to me and I contacted Toyota customer care service and was made aware that the warranty is optional where at the dealership they stated that that was a fee that was mandatory. With all the bad reviews, my foolish ass still decided to give it a try and what can I say? Mostly bozos work here, but that's at almost every dealership I have encountered, hence the reason I searched on Carvana, but my car got damaged in transit and I needed one asap and this dealer was my last result. The salesmen I had was a recommendation, so I thought he could be trusted but he sucked and was highly unprofessional. First off, I am unhappy that on the website it mentions no matter how your credit is, you can still leave the dealership with a vehicle; but when I got there and he notifies me I was declined twice I asked him how that is when the website says otherwise, he informs me all dealerships say that to get people to come in. I was livid. You think it's okay to keep running someone's credit, especially someone who has a new line of credit? I am a college student for christ sake's trying to build some credit and so I was not happy for him running it for every damn dealership on that one block (as they have Honda, Kia, Toyota, Hyundai, and Acura). The salesman had no idea what he was talking about and his information was always inaccurate and changing, everything he stated was based off opinion and no actual fact. Not to mention he did nothing in any step of the process, but show me cars he thought were nice to him. Then he shows me a model with push to start, which I so badly wanted and once we get the ball rolling after my final approval, the model is a regular key entry. I was even more pissed and decided I am done being quiet and began to tell him how unprofessional and annoying he was. We spent 5 hours and then another 2 hours of our next day waiting to get a car that only had one key feature I asked for and I only asked for three things in a feasible budget! I will never finance here again after this unless they do some serious changing they suck. Not to mention he asks us to wait at a desk for someone to speak over finances, doesn't even give a name of the person so this random guy sits at the desk and asks me about my purchase. I respond and say I am not completely happy with it and ask more questions, his name is Eric and he is an asshole, a MAJOR ASSHOLE. So as I am speaking he is looking on his phone scrolling down Facebook, and I'm like hello? And he rudely says he isn't the one assisting me, how the heck would I know that if I was never even given a name of who I am waiting for and I was told to sit at your desk! So I thought I was only using my common sense. He then starts shaking his head, and by then I was shaking because I was fed up from waiting, the bullshit car salesmen I had dressed like he was attending a barbecue, and then having my credit run multiple times. Not to mention he asks me if I didn't like it I could go somewhere else, YOU'VE ALREADY RUN MY CREDIT MULTIPLE TIMES. WHY WOULD I WANT TO CONTINUE TO GO OTHER PLACES AND RUN IT MORE. But just the day before he tells me if Honda doesn't approve me, no one else will. Like which one is it? Like I said, was inaccurate about everything he said. Then they tried to JIP us and tell me my payments were $550 a month and once we questioned it, they got it down to $480. Which means they were gonna charge us more if they could get away with it. SO BUYER BEWARE and make sure that your monthly payment is the lowest they can get. A family friend helped me lease a car from them when I was in a rough spot and when it came time for that lease to end I wanted to purchase the vehicle because I loved it so much, however, they made it the most difficult process I've ever experienced. Do yourself a favor and avoid speaking to Rovelle. He was completely unprofessional and really threw me around and made things complicated. He has no idea what he's doing. After we settled on the final purchasing price apparently he "messed up the paperwork" and there was another additional charge which he told me "technically they could just eat the charge" but apparently he had gotten into a fight with his manager (i did not need to know that) and he was "on thin ice" with him so when I asked his manager about it he said "no we can't do that who told you that" and put me in a really awkward position between the two of them. There's obviously big miscommunication here. -THEN- after FOUR AND A HALF hours of waiting for paperwork that should've been done in 30 minutes. I finally have the car and take it home. Then, TWO MONTHS LATER they start blowing up my phone apparently they don't have the right documentation to update my registration which should've already been done. I'm a full time student and am taking finals, when I ignored their call they called me 4 more times in a row!!! So embarrassing to have my phone go off like that during testing. They are greedy and only care about your money. They have no care for you or your wants or needs. Horrible customer service, dirty business. In the market for a Car because I need it for my family and the business I run. A friend of mines recently went to Plaza AutoMall and got a Car. So my friend got me in Contact with the saleman she had work with Name Rex from Acura. I contact him and setup a Meeting to come in. On February 6, 2020 I came to my appointment and Met with Rex everything was good. Fill out my credit application to submit it for my Dream car which is the 2020 Kia Telliride S Model. Rex took my application over to Plaza Kia they Ran my credit REX came back and told me he has good News and Bad News. So I say what the News. Good News was he said the guy at Kia say it looks good and they can get a Deal done. Bad news was that they needed more time. I said okay no problem take y'all time. I waited two days. Rex Called me and said hey your Deal has been APPROVE but you will need $2200 Down payment and they only Approved me for 2020 Kia Telliride LX and ask what color do I Want. I told REX ok but i need time about 2-3 week he assured me that the Deal will still be there I said okay...... Receive a call from another person in Plaza AutoMall to tell me that I have a Pre-Approval with CapitalOne Bank. I told The person that I have already came in and met with somebody and that my Deal was done and all I need is $2200 down. The person then said to me "If I can get the deal done without a downpayment would you take it" I said Yes. I came down to plaza AutoMall for a Test Drive of the 2020 Telliride and this is where the circus begin I came straight after work about 5pm. I sat with the person who call me about Approval for CapitalOne. They called Rex who I was working with to get the folder that they started to see about the deal. Rex look like he was upset because He wouldn't be getting the money out the deal. Because they started going back and fourth about it in front of me "Very Very unprofessional of you ask me". But they told me that I will be driving out with a Car on February 14, 2020.... Because they had to get a Telliride LX from Staten Island because plaza AutoMall didn't have one in Stock. Ok February 14, 2020 come I'm waiting for a phone call. Final receive a call from Rex saying that he was on his way to the dealership and wait for him to call me to come down. Receive another call saying that "We don't see an Approval in our system" They look like they never submitted the application. Now I'm confuse to what is going on because they Ran my credit application on February 6, 2020 and it hit my credit Report. But of course they saying they wanna run my credit again. Purchased a used vehicle 2 days ago for my daughter. Tires didn't have hubcaps, previous owner probably had rims and removed when they returned to dealership. Ok...Fast forward 2 days... receive a call from my daughter, she thinks she has a flat. Welp! It's not a flat, this is how the tires were fastened to the car! The 6 lug nuts aren't all on the tires, and the ones that are on, aren't even fastened securely! I don't even know if they are the correct lug nuts as they are all mismatched. This is beyond careless and could have had fatal consequences. I will be returning first thing in the morning to the dealership, but I want to speak with the POS that attempted to secure these tires to the vehicle. They shouldn't have a job! I paid a "PREP" fee and this is how they prepare their vehicles? They then went back to their manager...raised the price $1,200 from what they said they would sell it for! Oh, and Internet quotes? What a friggin joke. I can't believe I never reviewed this shady establishment. It seems like nightmare stories run wild about this place. I wish I only knew before I bought my first new car from them. A few years back I purchased a brand new Honda Accord from them. In less than 3 months, the paint started chipping and peeling off the front bumper. I took it back in to complain and at first they gave me a hard time about redoing the paint job. I don't think paint peeling is a normal wear and tear for a car that is less than 3 months old! After bickering back and forth, they finally agreed to cover a majority of the cost to repaint the bumper. We still had to fork over some portion of it but by that time I'd been soo burnt out by the whole process. I just wanted to put it behind me. The quality of the vehicles is one story and maybe that can't always control that, but the customer service is something that is within their control and trust me they don't have that figured out. Car Salesmen are not the most trustworthy people to begin with, but this place takes it to a whole other level! Stay clear and take your business elsewhere! read more

Phil K. gave me an amazing deal on a car. He is a great salesman. Unfortunately, like any organization that needs all the teams - sales, finance, logistics, etc. - to work together, it falls short. If it wasn't for him being a nice guy and giving me a good deal, I would have walked out and this would have been a 1/2 star review. My car was supposed to have been on a truck the day I came in to sign the paperwork. Didn't happen. I had to drive with the sales guy to pick it up from the storage faclity by the Brooklyn Yards. While in transit, their DMV processing unit was supposed to have had the paperwork done by the time we got back. Didn't happen. Had to wait for them to do it there and then. Another 30 mins. I was doing a title together with my wife's name on it. She gave them a photocopy of her DL the night before. Somehow they misplaced it and it had to be sent again. What should have been a quick pickup and signing of the documents took 4 hours. Unacceptable. The GM blamed it on the construction that's taking place and swore that it will improve, but I'll have to see it to believe it. read more

IF ONLY I'D READ THESE REVIEWS FIRST! My mother is 87 years old. She saw a page in AAA's Car & Travel promoting several car dealerships. It said "Save thousands", "No haggling", etc. Sadly, she took this as an endorsement and asked my wife and I to take her to Plaza. The 8 hours we spent there had to have been comparable to what an enemy combatant faces at Guantanamo! And, almost 2 months later, we're still working on being credited for the many thousands of dollars worth of programs they added to the contract without our knowledge or permission. Mom went in with a planned budget of $10k - $12k. She just wanted basic transportation and of course at her age, she doesn't expect to be driving for more than 1 - 2 years more. The up-selling began immediately. The sales weasel (Richard Jacobs) started extolling the virtues of "Toyota Certified" cars. He was saying how with the 160-point inspection AND the 7-year warranty, you couldn't lose. The car he started pushing was $16k. $4,000 above her high number! But he went on and on about how the Certified program made it such a fantastic value. Mom felt the car was ok and was already starting to tire. So, we went into the office to see what could be worked out for this car. Again, we hadn't done any checking ahead of time (PLEASE DON'T EVER MAKE THAT MISTAKE). So, we didn't have book value for the car or anything. But I knew it had to be less than what they were asking. We negotiated it down to $14k (and turned out that when we did check, that's about all the car was worth. But of course they acted like we were robbing them blind at that price. Oh how I wish they refused to sell it to us!). Mom wanted to get an idea of what the total would be with tax, DMV fees, etc. She asked him to add it up. He came up with a number nearly $2K more than what it should have been. In the mix were $795 destination charge and $895 for the Certified program. He'd spent over an hour explaining that it was worth getting this more expensive car (rather than Mom's $10k - $12k budget) because it came with Toyota Certification. Huh? So, "It's worth paying more for this car because it's certified" AND "pay extra for the certification"?? No way! He then goes (for the 8th time) to "ask his manager". He comes back and says that they are willing to take $500 off the destination fee and $600 of the certified fee and charge *just* $295 for each. My patience ran out, I got up, got Mom's walker, handed it to her and told her we needed to leave. If only she'd done so before this weasel could say that he'd remove the fees! We're 5 hours into the ordeal and I say that we've gotta go eat dinner and I've got to take Mom home as she's exhausted. After all that, we weren't going to start over somewhere else. We would have come back the next day and done the financing. But as desperate as we were to leave, he was more desperate to conclude the deal that evening. He said it would take less than an hour. I asked who he was kidding. Financing, DMV, insurance..... I said minimum of 3 hours. I was right about that. I was WRONG for not just dragging Mom out of there! I won't play out the 3 hours in real time. But have to cover the time with the finance manager (Nicole Meyers, Queen of Liars). She printed out all the documents and had Mom sign and initial all over the place. Mom wasn't prepared to read everything (we're already into the 8th hour at this point) and I am unable as I have limited vision. Mom did ask what each document was before signing. Nicole told her things like "that you are taking possession of the car", "that you agree to make the monthly payments" and "that you are required by the bank to have gap insurance since you are retired". Mom doesn't hear very well and Nicole had her hip hop music turned up. So, I had to repeat everything for Mom. I likewise had to explain things like gap insurance. And it is because I repeated and explained everything that I know for a fact what Nicole represented. The contract arrived via UPS a few days later and Mom called me on the phone, hysterical that it showed a total of $20,421. $14k + tax + interest +DMV brought it to under $17k. So, the total was nearly $4,000 more than it ought to have been. They added in things like "optional breakdown protection" for $2500, a "Total Loss Protection" policy for $800, etc. NONE of this was discussed or agreed to. When we contacted them, all they (Nicole Myers) had to say was "your mother signed for it. So...." Fortunately, when I contacted Toyota Financial, I was able to get them to cancel and credit back 1 policy for $2500. Still working on the rest. We went back to the dealership because a manager said "I can't help you if you don't come in". Well, he didn't help us when we did come in! They said: "you'd be wasting your time in court. We have her signature on everything." BBB registered 68 complaints in 1 yr. F rating. read more

I brought my Nissan Altima here at the end of its lease, and leased a new Honda Accord. They told me that they would take care of all the end-of-lease stuff, but now, 2 months later, Nissan is calling me asking where the car is. I've been calling and calling Plaza to find out what happened, but no one there has the decency to call me back. Also, Wilky, my salesman, said that he would send all necessary documents to my insurance company. He did not. My insurance company called a few weeks later threatening to cancel coverage and was asking me where the documents were. Once I got that straightened out, Honda contacted me b/c the dealership had given them incorrect information regarding my coverage. I will never, ever, ever go here again. read more

Shady, shady place. If you value your time and your money - RUN FROM IT!!!! First, they never give you real numbers online or by e-mail because they will try to suck as much money from you as possible in person. They quoted Honda CRV 2014 LX for $265 a month for 39 months PLUS $2900. After lots of BS the guy made first payment $2000. I started signing papers but then my friend called me and mentioned another leasing company. I called that company and on the phone I got $262/month for 36 month and $1240 in fees (including first month payment!!, even lower then what True Car shows you). Feel the difference. I said I didn't want to get a car from Plaza Honda. They said OK. I wasted like 5 hours in Plaza Honda and it took me literally 12 minutes and a 3 minute phone call with that other leasing company. Lesson learned: stay away from dealership and stay even more far away from Plaza Honda and I feel like any other dealership they have on that plaza. read more
