When we entered the location we were greeted by the host and escorted to our seats. We ordered fajitas, ceviche and chips and guacamole. Everything we ordered was delicious. The restaurant reminded me of a typical Mexican restaurant with great music and decor.

Ate all the food. Here's a pic of some nachos.

It's my first time at this establishment. I'm so impressed with the decor. The day of the dead paintings are out of this world!! Table service was amazing! Carlos was our server. He was so friendly and attentive. Chips, salsa, and queso are served promptly. Both are spicy! I wanted to have something different something with vegetables but not a salad (although those salads were sounding real tasty). I got Pollo Patrón. Grilled chicken with sugar snap peas, carrots broccoli and more, topped with a cheese sauce, served with rice, beans, and warm tortillas. Absolutely delicious! Came out fast too! I'll definitely be back. There a many more things I'd like to try. You should too.

Fun vibe and really good food. Lots of seating in the bar and loads of booths. The bar also has a large TVs. Chips and salsa along with a creamy chipotle sauce right when seated. The green sauce on the enchiladas was very rich and flavorful. The fish tacos were fried perfectly and not greasy at all. The beans are perfect. We ordered an extra bowl because they were seasoned so well and we don't usually do that. All around a relaxing and delicious meal.

The food was well seasoned and tasty. Very traditional Mexican grub. The decor very nice and the service was very attentive. I will return.

Finally there is a good Mexican restaurant in this area of Harrisburg that is easily accessible and close by. The Plaza Azteca off Progress Ave did a great job of remodeling the building of the previous restaurant to create a clean, open, and welcoming space. While Plaza Azteca's are a chain, the quality of food can vary between the different locations depending on the staff working at the restaurant. This Plaza Azteca far surpasses the one on the West Shore. We have probably already been to this location and/or had takeout at least a dozen times and have been very pleased. (A couple mis-steps with the accuracy of take out orders) . The dining room provides space for families and large groups. The bar and bartenders are great and create a positive vibe to relax with a drink (large selection on tap in addition to mixed drinks). We have sampled a variety of items off the menu and have been pleased with all our choices. A few highlights are: Spinach and Chicken Quesadillas, enchiladas, and the fajitas. The prices seem higher than needed, but portion sizes are large so things equal out in the end.

Service was great! Super fast and very attentive. We ordered a steak fajita and molcajete (not listed on the menu). The molcajete is good for two big eaters or 3 normal people. It comes with fajita wraps, rice and refried beans. It was memorable and good. Great place for large groups and kids.

The kitchen sink breakfast and strawberry ricotta pancakes are highly recommended after a weekend outdoors. My group of eight dined out on the patio for Sunday brunch on a beautiful day. We had two dogs with us as we were rounding out a camping trip in nearby Halifax, and the staff was more than accommodating by bringing out a bowl of water for them. The restaurant itself is a sprawling campus featuring beautiful vintage architecture inside the main building, alongside a modernized covered patio for comfortable outdoor dining all year round. Service was excellent throughout our meal. We made these reservations a few weeks in advance for such a large party with animals, and they were completely ready for us when we arrived. The food was above average and exactly what I have come to expect from slightly upscale American brunch spots. I opted for the kitchen sink breakfast, which is rightfully named since it includes eggs, a thick slice of country ham, biscuit and gravy, and home fried potatoes. Everything was well prepared and really hit the spot after being outside for a few days of camping. I also split an order of the strawberry ricotta pancakes with my wife and was very impressed. I am not usually one to eat pancakes, but these were incredibly light and fluffy. The ricotta complimented the strawberries well, making the dish taste very similar to a strawberry shortcake. Overall, this is a solid brunch spot with great ambiance that I can highly recommend if you are in the Harrisburg area.

This week's Friday Night Solo Date Night destination took me to Greystone Public House -- a spot…read moreI've heard people talk about for a while but had never tried myself. When I realized I'd be just minutes away late Friday afternoon on one of the nicest days of the year so far, it felt like the perfect time to finally give it a shot. Friday afternoon, 74°, end of a long work week...this absolutely screamed "patio dinner," and Greystone delivered on that front! I arrived around 4:45pm and asked for patio seating, and was seated at a great table in full sun. The vibe was exactly what I was hoping for -- calm, quiet, and a really beautiful setting. When I got there, the patio was about one-third full, but by the time I left around 5:30pm, it had nearly emptied out. That said, I could definitely see this being a go-to spot when the weather is nice, so reservations are probably a smart move if you're aiming for patio seating. For my meal, I went with the shrimp salad wrap with a Caesar salad and a Diet soda. On paper, it sounded like a solid, light dinner option. In reality...it didn't quite hit for me. The shrimp salad was very mayo-heavy with minimal seasoning, and it was loaded with large chunks of celery (like...a lot of celery). The menu also indicated the wrap would include tomato but it didn't. The shrimp were left whole, which made it tough to eat as a wrap -- I ended up just picking out and eating the shrimp and leaving most of the wrap behind...along with what felt like an entire stalk of celery. Not exactly what I had in mind. Service also missed the mark a bit. My server checked in shortly after the food was delivered, but then disappeared for quite a while. I finished eating and waited about 20 minutes for my check, with both my Diet soda and water empty and no refill in sight before she eventually came back. My total came to $24.30 before tip, which put the experience right around $30 for one person, one cold wrap, one side salad and a Diet soda -- and for that price point, I was expecting something a little more elevated, both in food and service. Greystone definitely has the look of an upscale, country club-style dining experience. The space is beautiful, especially the patio, and the overall atmosphere is appealing. But right now, it feels like the execution isn't quite matching the vision. The food lacked that "oh my god this is GOOD" factor, and the service didn't support the price point. Also worth noting -- a few small maintenance details stood out, like a broken toilet paper dispenser laying in pieces in the women's restroom and loose floor tiles near the bar that shift when you step on them. Not dealbreakers, but noticeable in a space aiming for a more polished experience. Overall, Greystone is a great spot for the vibes -- especially on a sunny day -- but the food and service didn't quite live up to expectations for me. I'd come back for the patio, but I'd probably manage expectations (and maybe try something different on the menu next time).

Unfortunately, the quality of the cheesesteaks declined over time, but I was excited when they opened a new fish location here in Harrisburg. Until recently, I really enjoyed this spot because the quality and ingredients were consistently excellent. My latest experience, however, was highly disappointing. I placed an online order and received a text notification stating it was ready for pickup. When I arrived, the food was not ready. I stood waiting for nearly 15 minutes, ringing the counter bell, but the staff ignored it. When someone finally appeared, I told them I was picking up an order. I was told it would be just a few more minutes because they were "waiting on the fries."After waiting another 7 minutes, I asked for an update. The employee immediately walked to the back counter and handed me a box that was already wrapped and sitting there. I hadn't heard anyone packaging food the entire time I stood there. When I got to my car and opened the container, the fries and the rest of the meal were completely wet and soggy from trapped condensation. It was obvious the food had been sitting out for at least 15 minutes while I was told it was still being cooked. I will not be returning to this restaurant. Not only did we enjoy incredible food and exceptional service, but both the server and the owner went above and beyond to make our daughter's birthday truly special. We were treated to fresh, delicious seafood, a sparkler candle dessert, a plush gift for the birthday girl, and even a light-up birthday sign! We felt like part of their family. It was not very busy when we were there, but the layout felt like it could get cramped and difficult to navigate when the place is crowded. Family-Friendly Potential Undone by Bugs and Menu Missteps…read more Finding a spot that accommodates the whole family can be a challenge, and this venue brings a mixed bag of outdoor perks and frustrating oversights. Upon arrival, expect a bustling, very crowded atmosphere. While the indoor space is cramped with virtually no indoor seating, there is an abundance of outdoor seating available, paired with a convenient playground that keeps the little ones entertained. Entertainment-wise, a live musician added a pleasant vibe, though the TVs were inexplicably playing yesterday's football games rather than live broadcasts. Service was stretched thin due to a short-staffed shift, but our waitress remained attentive and handled the rush well. When it came to the plates, the food itself was surprisingly decent and paired with reasonable, wallet-friendly prices. However, the menu suffers from baffling choices: burgers come standard with potato chips, requiring an upcharge for french fries--a frustrating policy for a classic pairing. The kids' menu also needs an overhaul; the fish and chips portion offered a meager single piece of fish, and the total lack of kid-friendly desserts like ice cream left the younger diners disappointed. The biggest dealbreaker, however, was the outdoor environment. Despite the charm of al fresco dining, the area was overrun with an excessive swarm of bugs and flies constantly harassing the food. Coupled with slightly dirty bathrooms and the unusual side-dish policies, it makes it hard to justify a return trip until management invests in proper pest control and kitchen updates.
