Sushi combo. Fish comes fresh from Japan once a week.

Came here for dinner tonight with a group of 6 and had a reservation. The staff was very kind and attentive. Ordered the following: Pork soup dumplings- delicious juicy good portions (6 pieces per basket) Pork pan fried bao- delicious juicy as well 4 pieces) Kung pao Brussels- very saucy but still good. Always like peanuts with my veggies Sushi combo- beautiful presentation with fresh fish Lo mein chicken- had a bite as this was a take home for the kids but pretty standard noodle dish with sweet sauce hopefully the kids will eat it tomorrow lol Crispy rice with tuna- not too spicy, a little too much on the rice but overall good. Located in a shopping plaza, from the outside it looks closed because it's totally dark but it's open! Easy free parking right in front. As a native Los Angeles girl coming to PA to see my husband's family, I was thrilled that his friend took us here! The best Asian food I've had since I've been coming here 13 years ago. We will definitely be back!

My second time here and I am delighted to see the improvements in their menu and cooking. I brought my mother here and she enjoyed small bites of dim sum dumplings (Sui mai and shrimp dumplings). The owner recommended to me the seafood in a flower basket in XO sauce. I was truly delicious and not overly seasoned or sauced. Seafood was fresh and cooked perfectly. Bartender made me a perfect 50/50 Grey Goose martini. Highly recommend and we will be back!

100% yes. Food is delicious. The menu isn't huge, but it covers a lot of different types. Seafood lovers, meat eaters or vegetarians... there is something for each. Service was quick and friendly. Was seated at a high top and the tables are definitely tiny which I think was the only complaint. Will definitely be back for another visit soon!

Awsome presentation! Scallops, United, Salmon Roll, Live Scallops.

Great service and sushi! I was in thr area on business and this was near where I was staying. They were very patient since I was on several phone calls and was there for 2 1/2 hours. Sushi presentation was beautiful and it was fresh.

This looks nothing like the picture they promote and show. It was sweet and really fishy. Presentation horrible. Food was alright

We had amazing time recently at Freshido! We went on a Friday night, there was a DJ, it was such a great vibe. Good music, but not too loud. We tried a few signature cocktails that were all delicious. The crispy rice appetizer was a must try. Highly impressed and definitely will be back!!

Service was awful. My family and I went on a "soft opening" Saturday night. There were 2 other tables occupied in our waitress' section while we were there. The 6 other tables were EMPTY.. I got a lot of blowback from my Google review so the wait staff probably got the memo so now y'all will get better service! The waitress seemed to go out of her way to assist all the other tables except for us as if they were critics for NY Times. The chef even came out to show them their food and not us! The only difference between them and us was that they were white. My husband is black and I'm Asian. We didn't even get refills of water until I had to beg for it at the end of the meal. I was parched. I was testing her to see if she would notice our empty glasses and 20 minutes passed! This 40 yo woman nor the chef checked up on us at all to see how our food was. She only came at the end because she saw my husband didn't eat his food & she had to get him a container. Geez! Rule #1 in waitressing - get diners their liquid. Besides the awful service my husband's Chicken Basil was a coagulated glob of gunk. My salad and sushi were actually good. However, based on the service I will never return to this restaurant again. Tough luck, Freshido, you ain't getting any of my dough during Trump's Recession. As you can see from my reviews here and on Google, I eat out a lot. My money is going to Bangkok 56 & Greystone instead. I will spend thousands over there instead of here. This place and Cafe Fresco are blah. I need to move back to DC.

If you think quick-service when you hear "Freshido," this is not that. Freshido Bar & Kitchen is the Freshido Fancy: a full bar, tableside service, an elevated menu, and a relaxing ambiance. (Be sure to look up and check out the upside down crates filled with cascading plants hanging from the ceiling.) I stopped by, planning to order a bowl and go, but ended up dining in and enjoying some sushi and bao. The pork bao were savory and light, if not under-filled--there was a lot of air space inside the bao. The dipping sauce was lovely and complemented the bao well. The sushi rolls (cooked fish only) were nothing extraordinary but they were tasty and present in a visually appealing way. (The giant plume of lettuce coming from the end piece of the shrimp tempura was a bit silly, but it certainly added drama to the look of the dish.) I'm excited to return and try the XLB (soup dumplings) and some of the salmon and tuna sushi. Plus, it looks like they've got a pretty solid happy hour, which I'm hoping to try in the future.

The blonde hostess with short hair did not honor our reservation and instead prioritized the waitlist. We never requested to cancel our reservation; we went to the bar to wait. While at the bar, I received an email stating that our reservation had been canceled by the restaurant. As frequent customers of Freshido, this experience was extremely disappointing.

Pleasant service, very tasty food! My sister and I visited on the later side on a Thuraday evening and just got a few plates to share. The menu has a variety of Asian fusion dishes with a variety of price points. We enjoyed our California, Shrimp Tempura, and pork bao. It looks like they offer a daily happy hour (although we werent there for that) and weekly specials. (My only note is that we originally thought we were headed to a quick casual restaurant, like the Freshido in Hershye on Chocolate Ave. We were very happy with our overall experience-- just confused at first!)

The menu has great options to pick from, and our service was nice and attentive. Most of the table had some of the steak options, from the filets to the medallions and then to the pot pie variation. The mashed potatoes were delicious - great flavor and taste. I'm not even a gravy fan but I wanted more. The steaks were cooked to our liking and flavored well. Would return for a nice dinner again!

Came here for the first time for dinner with hubby. We orders the whiskey rings appetizer (I.e.,…read moreonion rings), trout, Wagyu steak, and a couple of beers. Total came out to approximately $99 (not including tip). What's hot - Menu. Fairly short and straightforward menu. There appears to be something for everyone, even possibly vegans (I.e., mostly salads). - Quality. The whiskey rings appetizer was delicious- lightly breaded, crispy, nicely seasoned, and a good dipping sauce. My trout was served hot and nicely seasoned, as well. Tender and moist. I would've liked the skin to be crispy. The main disappointment was the steak, which I address below. - Location. Fairly easy to find in town. They have a nice indoor seating area and seating on their front porch. Their outdoor seating area is very pleasant when the weather is nice. - Price. With the exception of the quality of the steak, which I address below, their food is good value for money. What's not - Quality. The Wagyu steak was a disappointment. They cooked it appropriately (my husband ordered it done medium), but the meat was not tender at all. Rather, it was tough despite it being cooked medium. Would not order it again and it makes me doubt the quality of the rest of their meats. - Service. My husband's main issue with their service is that the second round of drinks we ordered were full price, rather than the happy hour discount. He insisted with the wait staff that we ordered the second round right at the end of happy hour, but they did not accommodate his request. - Parking. There is street parking, but it's timed and metered. There are a couple parking lots nearby within a block's distance, but they're more expensive- approximately $5-$6/hr. If you're willing to walk a few blocks, there is free parking. - Reservations. It's probably dependent on the day and time you go, but it appears reservations may be better. We went for Friday dinner. The hostesses asked us if we had reservations, which we didn't. As such, they asked us if we prefer to be seated outdoors or at the bar. My point is to be prepared. Final answer Willing to return, but not a first choice.

I don't drink alcohol so I can't speak to their bar or other food. 5/5 Food: where to start with the burger- its thick patty has a great crisp outside and medium inside and is graced by nicely cooked bacon, lettuce, tomato, cheese, and a proper amount of sauce. The fries are classic, semi mush-semi crisp fries with coarse grained salt. The meal with a delicious burger that outdoes any other I've had in state college, even those that cost close to $20. Walking out the door, the meal (fries, burger, drink) cost 8.05, and I was happy to leave a larger than 20% tip to make it $10 even. I challenge you to find a better burger in state college, regardless of price. Honestly, my MBA-trained senses obsessed over what their business model might be and I'm hoping that it was providing enough for the owners and staff. 3.5/5 Service: Friendly. It was really busy when we were there and it was a tad slow, but we also had a group that came in at different times. 4/5 Ambiance: nice-ish college bar inside, clean bathrooms. Only complaint is that the booth table was too tall for the chairs, I felt like I would have been better suited to kneel to eat my burger than sit (I had one friend who did kneel to meet the height of the table) Tl;DR Excellent burger; confusingly great value.
