Pleasant Cleaners was really great, until it wasn't. I've been going here for several years and enjoyed great quality service with laundering, dry cleaning, and basic alterations. 3 months ago I brought a tux in for dry cleaning and they lost the jacket. It has taken this long to resolve. I completely get how these things happen and I kept hoping that they'd handle this responsibly but that has not been the case. I hate writing bad reviews, and will only do so if my experience was egregiously bad, but the manner in which the owner Kwang Suk Kim treated evaded responsibility of compensation, blamed and accused me of dishonesty, is just sad. Had she taken ownership and taken care of her customer, I'd still be using and recommending Pleasant Cleaners. To be fair, the quality of work was really good, the owner's character is unfortunately quite the opposite. Unprofessional, rude, very disappointed NOT recommended it! She told me to get out and yelled at me when I said that the item i asked her clean was still there and it looked like she didn't touch it. She repeatedly said that she cleaned twice and I am in shock. She told me that I am a lier when she was the one. I am offended. I feel so lucky to have found Suki. She took on the huge project of altering my wedding dress even though she didn't know me very well. However on my end, I felt instant comfort around her. I loved that she wouldn't be afraid to tell you her honest thoughts and her humor always made me smile. She feels like a family member to me. My wedding dress was not the easiest, but Suki did a FANTASTIC job shortening all 6-7 layers of my dress. She also altered the sides and straps of my dress as well. I was meeting a friend for lunch at Mr. Lucky's and parked right in front of Pleasant Cleaners. I happened to have a jacket in my car that needed to be altered so I dropped into the cleaners after lunch. The woman who works there (also the owner, perhaps?) was very welcoming. She had me put on the jacket, quickly pinned the sleeves, and then asked when I wanted to pick it up. This was on a Tuesday and I asked for Monday and she agreed no problem. I went back on Monday and my jacket was ready and looked perfect. The alteration cost $25 and in my mind, that seems quite reasonable. They are open early (7:30 am) and late (7:00 pm) so I will definitely be using them in the future since I can stop by on way to or from work. Regardless, on both trips I was in and out of there in less than five minutes so a visit could also be easily done during a lunch break. read more

She refused to re-clean 3 shirts I returned that smelled like they sat in water too long. I've taken my shirts here a few times without any issues. However on this occasion I picked up shirts before an extended trip overseas. I realized on my trip that the shirts smelled so I washed them there with plans to ask they be washed again along with the other two I had left behind still in the plastic wrapping. The lady refused to clean the shirts that I had to wash and was reluctant to do the shirts still in the plastic. She said I waited too long to return them. I tried to explain I was traveling for several weeks and just returned a couple days ago. I told her I'll find another cleaner and she simply pushed the shirts back saying OK.
