The good news is I had met with Janice Demus the week before so was a step ahead! Mrs. Demus was GREAT! She went over all of the details thoroughly, so I was able to make a decision on the funeral arrangements fairly quickly. Miguel Bandy was PHENOMENAL! I often wondered did he ever sleep! He was very responsive and supportive. He made a very tough and sensitive situation very comforting and uncomplicated. I know there were other bereaved clients with families in need, but I never felt like there were - based on the GREAT customer service my family and I received from the moment my dad passed until he was laid to rest! Unfortunately, I was not able to give 5 stars. We paid for the livestream service option and are not pleased with the outcome. The recording is not great. There seems to be some technical disconnects that need to be addressed if they are going to continue to offer this service. Had we known, we would have secured an alternative. We are grateful that the service was recorded, but we would have liked a better product ultimately.

When we picked out my dads casket it was really pretty, but it was all banged up dented and scracted. We pointed that out and the response we got was "oh dont worry this is only our display one you will get the new one" the viewing came and shortly after it started I noticed my father was in the display casket! I expressed concern over this to a manager, they said they needed to speak to a manager about it. 5 days later I reached out to the manager Erika who id originally been working with to see what could be done about this. My father wound up getting burried in this casket because they could not have another one ordered in time for the services which had already begun. I took 14 pictures, each with 1-3 scratches or dents in it or missing paint, sent this to the manager and they offered to compensate me 250$ off a 1350$ casket if it was brand new. They tried to tell me that they had already "refunded us 750" for a service we didnt use (the police escorts) and i questioned how this was at all relevant to the casket case. They mentioned we bought a 7900 package that included a new casket at 1350. But we did not get the new casket. We got a heavily damaged casket worth no more than 500 based off research and expertise. I explained that was not acceptable and request she go back to the owners. They said they could do 500. I feel they should have entirely refunded us for the casket and a much bigger apology and understanding than we got from them. Really dissapointing makes the place feel phoney and just in it for the money. The fact that they cant sympothize with the fact that they buried my dad in a damaged display casket is beyond me in their field.

Every chance he got he wanted to argue with us about ANYTHING! To the point that even the lady that works with him had to tell him you did say that. I it upset him he couldn't charge us for that he decided to give me an extra transport charge that he NEVER not once mentioned until he couldn't charge was the other fee. In the end charging me 800 dollars in transportation fees. In between this and everything to follow I had to wait till after noon to do any business with them because the director don't answer the phones he just be mean to people in the background and the lady running things works at a daycare in the mornings. Then, we waited 2 weeks for the death certificate and it was a straight forward natural death. Come to find out( I heard the conversation with vital records) they hadn't requested the death certificates. Holding up the process with insurance, the cemetery and the other funeral home. I had been calling every other day asking for it. Finally we decided she would pay the fee to expedite getting the certificates (we paid for 5) and pay to overnight them to me since they were not in with my father when he was shipped. She was supposed to fax me a copy before she sent them off. Hours after they were picked up I got 3 cut off pictures of the death certificate and a picture of shipped partial letter that was arriving with my certificates 3days later. Obviously the other funeral home had to call her and get her to fax the copy of the certificate instead of the 3 cut off pictures. When the other director said you know we can't accept pictures in text she laughed and said yeah you're right. At this point we all were tired of dealing with them. It was a very horrible experience at one of the worse times in my life. I would NOT recommend this funeral home to anyone. Especially if you're looking for someone on their game with an empathetic heart. The director mean and appears to be very old. The lady running things is nice but appears to not know what is going on and ALL over the place. Not a good experience at all!!!!
