We had dinner at the Lodge at Pleasant Point. Our drinks were delicious and fun. I had the Rabbit Rabbit and my husband had an expresso martini. Our meals were generous and tasty. Not to be missed. Former chef and manager from the Severance Lodge - and they totally have upped their game. Beautiful location sets the stage for a special dining experience. I came for a September wedding and Scott and his daughter treated all 60-plus wedding guests like we were family. Maybe even better than family, because my family doesn't clear my plate after I eat. The grounds have a nostalgic Dirty Dancing vibe, and not in an it's "rustic" = euphemism for "run-down" way. I mean it's genuinely relaxing and unique. This is no cookie-cutter hotel. I slept well, the food was great (please tell me how you season the zucchini/summer squash noodles!). Scott the owner, his daughter, and grand-baby spoiled everyone rotten! Next time I'm taking yoga and the yogi has the class imagine their happy place, I'm thinking about The Lodge at Pleasant Point. read more

AAMAZING ! The seafood bisque was awesome and so tasty. We had specialist drinks that are good and strong. We had rack of lamb and mashed potato with fresh string beans. Everything was cooked to perfection. We also had the chicken Francisco and it was yum yummy good. Linguine was perfectly cooked. The staff is super nice and friendly. Missy was our waitress and she is an excellent server. Our food all came out hot and perfect. Would recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting this area. Make a reservation! A beautiful old resort located in Lovell Maine Under new ownership. We booked a Thursday-Friday night stay in the middle of July and brought our boat up for a little fishing excursion with class. Nice and quiet. Just what the doctor ordered. The view from our room is amazing and all the food and drinks so far have been excellent. This place is a bargain for around $140 a night. The rooms are in good shape, clean and have air conditioning. There is free wi-fi which is good considering ATT doesn't work here unless you enable wi-fi calling. This is an awesome place to get away from the Dayley grind and rat race. Turn your cell phone off, have a drink and relax. read more

Scott and Beth were amazing hosts. So friendly and accommodating. The restaurant is delicious and the view while eating can't be beat. If you want to relax there are many places to do that. The cozy lobby, the front porch, or the many beach chairs. They have lots of games to play on the lawn like croquet or corn hole. There is a fire pit for roasting marshmallows and a grill area if you feel like cooking out. All in all a wonderful stay. I will be back for sure! read more

I'm irritated by the idiot reviewer before me who raved about the ambiance, drinks, and views but goes on to leave only two stars because the portion size didn't live up to their standards. Eating isn't supposed to be about seeing how much you can shove down your gullet in one sitting. If you're looking for a large portion for a cheap price, great. But you should probably stick to the dollar menu at McDonald's. These reviews can hurt a business. Be kind with your words and your stars. If you love something, shout it publicly. If you have negative feedback, tell someone who works there so that they have the chance to fix it before your negative review thwarts someone else from going. read more

Everything about dinner tonight was excellent!! The calamari was fresh and crispy. The seafood special , baked stuffed haddock with fresh green beans, was relished by my wife and myself. The homemade key lime parfait had us wanting to lick the dish we shared. This is a MUST if you are in the area! The view of Kezar lake doesn't disappoint nor does the attentive staff. read more

Unfortunately too cold for us to kayak or do much of anything else. Nice fire place in lodge lobby, but wish the fire pit was lit, as promised on the website. Just got back from an amazing weekend at Pleasant Point Inn! We stayed in room 7 which offers an amazing view of the lake! Had dinner both Friday and Saturday night at the Inn and the NY strip was perfectly cooked with great sides! Definitely a great place for a couples getaway or for the whole family! read more

With deep sadness, I write this review of the Pleasant Point Inn. My fiance and I were supposed to get married at the inn this coming summer, and met with the owners to discuss the arrangement. We looked at rooms, put the date in our calendars, discussed menus and table settings. I've been going up to Kezar my whole life and had always dreamed of getting married on the water. It seemed too good to be true--and then it was. A few weeks after returning to NYC, having told all our friends about the Pleasant Point, my parents received an early morning phone call that they were planning to sell the property and could not partake in our wedding plans--though they had our contact information, they never apologized directly to my fiance and me. There was no way this wasn't known as we picked out which rooms would be ours, and sent photos to our friends. Fast forward six months and the PPI is still in business--and have weddings planned for the summer of 2016. Obviously, I wouldn't recommend booking an event with them. I had heard from other businesses in the area they were unreliable, and this certainly proves it. We are now getting married in Waterford at Bear Mountain--still on water in Maine, but not at the lake where I made so many childhood memories. We're sure this worked out for the best, but want to warn any future clients. read more

I almost don't want to write this so the secret doesn't get out. But wow I couldn't not give them a glowing review. The new owners have made so many wonderful improvements and the Lodge is so worth going to for lunch or dinner or both (which we dId). We were particularly impressed by their burger, it is exactly the kind of burger you crave. We were also randomly impressed by how amazing their dumplings were. I'd want to go back for those alone. You should also try one of their hand crafted cocktails, they literally pick the blueberries from the front bush. Anyways we love this place and can't wait to go back! Oh and extra bonus is dining wit the best view on all of Kezar Lake :) read more

We were invited to attend a 50th Birthday celebration at Ebenezer's Pub & Restaurant in Lovell, ME. The Lodge at Pleasant Point was recommended to us after we learned there were no more rooms available at an inn close by, where the majority of the guests were staying. How lucky we feel to have found the Lodge at Pleasant Point! Everything about our one night stay was exceptional! The hospitality we received made us feel right at home. We had a wonderful couple evenings in mid September, just past the busy tourist season. Manager, Bob, set us up with hiking trails, canoeing and restaurants (the restaurant in the Inn was closed). This is a gorgeous place and location on the Kezar Lake. read more

This place is a gem! Worked in hospitality for 20+ years and this place deserves praise. Brianna and Nick really made this a spot worth visiting! Set with gorgeous views of the lake among tall white pines, you get a Dirty Dancing (not the dancing, the 1960's Adirondacks resort) meets Food Network-type of place. The menu changes seasonally, but the always have good stuff! The dumpling appetizer has been made bite-sized and crisp and Korean wings have an amazing flavor. The Fish N Chips is not massive in size, but sufficient and perfect in every sense (I am definitely an eater and I leave stuffed). New addition is a stuffed chick breast with spinach, prosciutto, chèvre cheese, with a white wine cream sauce. I started with sautéed mixed veggies on the side and ate em all before I touched my chicken! It was so good, If I could have crawled up in the plate, I would have!
