When I needed to find a new care giver I was concerned since she had been at the humane society twice, so I wanted the best environment I could find for her. Williamsburg was one place recommended to me. When I visited, I felt very good about the facility and people. The facility was very clean, well organized and staffed. Everyone seemed genuinely interested in the animals under their care. My dog certainly seemed to enjoy her stays (and for a time she was there more than she was at home). She came to know the staff and was always happy to see them. The staff knew her and always treated her so nicely. She was always happy to arrive and just as happy when I came home. While I no longer travel as much, Williamsburg remains the place I trust to take care of my dog. She always seems happy to see the staff and I've been very happy with the service I have received.

The cut is uneven, particularly around her face, which appears choppy and not well blended. Her paws were also not cleaned up to the standard I expected. The areas of greatest concern are her armpit and belly, which were shaved extremely close. Her skin appeared irritated afterward, and there is a small area on her belly that looks consistent with a minor nick from the blade. I spoke with management to address these concerns and am currently requesting a refund based on the result and condition of the grooming. Overall, I am not satisfied with the service provided. If you have a long-haired or double-coated breed, I recommend clearly confirming grooming expectations in advance.

Called again today, gave a different email, was given attitude and once again received no email. I'm not sure why they're so cranky here but the other reviews aren't great either. She also told me they don't need any vaccination records besides "rabies is appreciated". Just sounds like they don't have their act together.

We tried one other that seemed ok but you know when sometimes something just feels off? So I asked & our vet recommended Silver Maple instead...best thing ever. My first glimpse of how genuinely they care for our dogs was how nicely he goes in (tail is still down but he readily goes in after being greeted like Norm from Cheers). One time he got sick just before our Xmas vacation. He had only been on his meds for 2days before I had to drop him off but they have their system down to a science. It's simple but it's one they are clear on so there are no mistakes. Pam even called me to tell me she found throw up in his crate but wondered if giving him his meds with food would be less caustic & help him feel better...thoughtful & considerate problem solver & diplomatically explained! During that same boarding we were snowed in on the mountains in CO & couldn't get back on time. Not only did Pam accommodate but she also made sure he had enough of his meds. She genuinely loves animals & will go to bat for them. Communication & planning is key. If you'll be traveling over the holidays, book early. Always pack extra food & Rx in case it gets dropped or don't pack enough food. They took a Chewy delivery of food bc I stupidly didn't count out the correct numbers of cans. Cost-wise, we have found it to be very much worthwhile bc we absolutely know he's in good hands. To Pam, Mallory, Amanda, Lindsey & all the others I've not had the pleasure of meeting, you make Silver Maple a success & I thank you for taking such loving care of our Dexter.

I really appreciate the friendly attitudes of the staff, the attention they pay to my dogs, and the additional time/effort they invest into pulling off all the great themed days too. The dogs always come home tired after playing all day and some of the pics from the themed days are priceless. I also specifically want to recognize the team for going above and beyond one evening when I called them to let them know I was running late to get the dogs. I appreciate the NLN team being so cool about it and staying open a few minutes later. The dogs and I are sincerely grateful!

We just took our dog here for a "meet and greet" the other day. and everyone was so friendly and welcoming, especially the manager Kiersten. They introduced our dog to the other dogs and let him play for about 6 hours. We gave them our shot records, talked about his eating and behavioral habits, and we were all set :) I will update this after our dog has his nearly week-long boarding trip, but it seems like a great place with caring people so far!
