no surrons/e-bikes allowed L. why? afraid we will ruin the tracks? bs. justice for e-bikes. our bikes were built for these. Also these jumps should have an age limit, kids r making the park over crowded and they r literally just in the way. Cute little RC off-roading space in an isolated, safe corner (i.e. away from the bikers) located right next to the BMX track. Our son is 5 years old and enjoyed racing his little car on the small hills. Free walk up access though the small parking lot was full on a Saturday. We ended up parking at the CVS shopping center nearby and walked a quick 5 minutes. Recommended for the little ones! read more

If only they had more shade. I got here at 10:30am in the summer and luckily I found one bench under a tree in the shade but by 1130, there's no shade. It gets hot here. No entrance fee so yay! There's two portable potty and a drinking fountain. It's a dirt track for bikes and gravel parking lot. Be prepared for dirty kids. I saw some people setting up tents. Overall, the kids had fun. So fun!! My boys and I went this past week while our teachers were (are) on strike. They had a great time- fell, got hurt, got back up.. They were inspired by the men at the track. And when they were ready to leave, a 5 year old came with his mom and reenergized them. The 5 year old rocked the course!! What an awesome public and free place to meet and be. We live in Rockridge, so coming home we stopped in Dublin for a movie. Perfect day. read more

At first, the kids (7 & 8 years old) were intimidated. It was their very first time going on ramps of any kind. But it didn't take long for them to love this place. Once they got use to the layout and got a couple of rounds in, they didn't want to stop. There is definitely a wide range of riders with varying degree of experience (note there is no age limit..young or old) ...from those who fly/do tricks across the ramps to those who are still just learning how to ride a bike using balance bike - lol. The good news is that the track is divided into sections where beginners, experienced riders, and those that can do crazy tricks can choose from....kinda like "bunny slopes" for bikers (lol). The best part about this place is that it's FREE! The place is also walking distance to McDonalds/Starbucks if you need to get your grub on. The only down side is that the park can get pretty crowded and parking is limited. But overall this place is so much fun! read more

Went here for the first time on a weekday evening. Only 4 other people here and a couple of workers. The workers explained the layout for us which was helpful. There are sections for various skill levels. A few benches and shade trees. Really fun ,chill park with nice people. Will be coming back more often. read more

This park is amazing. The folks that take care of the bike believe in creating a space where kids and adults can enjoy biking. Both my son (8) and daughter (5) love it. This BMX park is good for all age levels. In fact, even kids on push bikes (3-4 years old) can have a good time in certain parts. The kids of all ages really work well with each other when the park is busy. The vibe is fun and respectful. I even bought myself a bike because the park is super fun. It does get HOT in summer so bring lots of water, and be prepared to get dusty. I recommend wearing long sleeves and pants as much as possible to protect them from scrapes when they crash, because they will crash at times. Older riders generally offer tips for younger ones, which is really thoughtful. This park is awesome so let's all keep it going. read more

Nice local dirt track at the back, northwest corner of the BMX park that is part of the Pleasanton park district. My kids enjoy splitting time with RC cars and their BMX bikes. You'll likely have the RC track to yourself, but if joined by others, the other hobbyists are friendly and you could enjoy some casual races. Small sized (maybe 35' by 15'), small jumps, bank turns. Not particularly well maintained by the city. A few volunteers seem to repair big holes that damage cars. A few of the BMX regulars are aggressive/threatening toward RC hobbyists. Most are friendly. The parks and recreation website lists this as an RC park, so you are within your right. It is suggested not to take the cars on the BMX trails, particularly the expert areas, as they supposedly damage the jumps that volunteers help maintain. Enjoy. read more

Good placement by the city on this one. It is off the beaten trail, so to speak, way over by the quarries and Shadow Cliffs, but the tradeoff is the City had a good amount of space to make the BMX track really spacious. There is almost always enough space (weekends excluded) for kids young and old to share. I usually take my 7 & 5 year olds early before it gets too warm...there isn't a lick of shade at the track...so sunscreen up. Two porta-potties on-site if you really need them and a water fountain. Bonus option is the trailhead into Shadow Cliffs in the back (free access), so you will always see lots of people parking here to walk their dogs, not to use the BMX Track. Fun to take a short hike and let the kids cool down afterwards though. read more
