I live…read more45mins away but I do drive past Dublin, so it's convenient for me to pick it up on my drive home from work, whenever it was ready. I arrived and unloaded my bike. A young gentlemen at the door told me that jakes closed for the day. I let him know we had made an arrangement, he closed the door, then came back outside to sell me Jake isn't available. I then texted Jake because perhaps there was a miscommunication and he replied back dismaying his availability. "Not available, what about tomorrow or the day after" He didn't respond back after I told him I drove from Tracy to meet this appointment. I didn't even need him to service my bike right away lol I could have left it there as planned but he chose not come outside. I drove 45mins for nothing. This is unprofessional. I would have tipped him very well because his quoted price was less than the bike shops and the only reason I chose him because local bike shops quoted me a 4 week wait minimum and he estimated a week if I recall correctly. Business integrity is important. Had he apologized via text about his unavailability I would have come back the next day or another mutually convenient time.

After one week, he did not follow up with my call and text because I paid extra $20 for the bar tape. After one month, I reached out to him again and he's somehow still lost. He is such a lazy and unresponsive owner. I am seriously upset with this situation and the owner's irresponsibility. I've already reached out to Venmo to make sure that he spends his time for my $20. It sounds silly but I really want him to pay for every single penny that he owes me.

My wife was looking for an E-bike, something for beginners, not super expensive but better than your Amazon choices. We/she went to our local places like Hank & Frank's and Mike's bikes. Both places had staff that were dismissive and didn't really want to help. When we asked for details, no solid answers were given. Anyways, we headed over to California Bike & Snowboard and the difference was crazy. We were greeted, and they were busy. The person took time to greet everyone, though they were short staffed. They took time to answer all of our questions. Grabbed the house bike helmet and had my wife take a test ride right away. The iron horse trail is right behind their shop. After she came back, they asked even more questions, and was able to give my wife different quotes and expectations for the E-bike. Overall, great experience. I recently moved to the area, and I'd always taken my bike to REI in Dublin for tune-ups. My road bike was long overdue for service, and I was dreading the drive and traffic. Lucas did an excellent job on the tune-up and even picked up my bike from my home at no extra charge. When I got it back, it honestly felt like I was riding a brand-new bike. Here's how it went down. First off, this is not a brick and mortar bike rental shop. I sent a text to the phone # listed on Yelp and Robert texted and called me back to make arrangements regarding a time and place to meet up. Payment was made in person via Venmo, but other payment options were cash and whichever works best for you, just ask him; ($25 for each bike, all day rental). I was just looking to do some leisurely bike riding, not necessarily wine hopping, so he suggested riding the biking trail at Sycamore Grove Park. We met up at Independence Park's parking lot and he delivered two bikes, helmets, and a lock. We got to test out our bike and he brought more to choose from just in case it didn't work out. My bike had a basket which came in very handy. He rode with us from the parking lot to the entrance of Sycamore Grove Park (probably a 5 minute bike ride), which was very nice of him. From there, I loved my bike riding adventure that day! Sycamore Grove Park is the place for leisurely bike riding. I saw so many families, single riders, etc. riding their bikes. Some were pros and some were not, just like me, but I felt like I was at the right place for bike riding! People walking share the same trail. There was a winery right across the street from Sycamore Grove Park and many other wineries you can bike to, if you want to turn it into a bike for wine kind of day. Returning our bikes was hassle free, too. We just locked our bikes to the fence of Independence Park's parking lot and sent Robert a text to pick them up. We did not need to wait for him to arrive. It's a very safe looking park, so you don't have to worry about people stealing the bikes. I would rent from this company again and highly recommend it to others!
