Extremely frustrating experience. Peloton scheduled a service appointment through Velofix and confirmed the window as 8-10 AM. Later, I received an email from Velofix saying the time was actually 11 AM-1 PM, but I didn't notice the change right away. On the morning of the appointment, I called Velofix to clarify, and the representative told me it was too late to adjust anything and that I should've contacted them earlier. I let it go and agreed to keep the 11-1 window, rearranging my work schedule to be available. No one showed up. At 1:30 PM, I had to call my wife to let her know, and she followed up with Velofix -- only to be told the case had been closed because the service was "out of scope." No one informed me. I was literally on the phone with them that same morning and they said nothing about not coming. This whole experience showed a complete lack of communication and disregard for people's time. I won't be using Velofix again and wouldn't recommend them. read more

UPDATE: David, once he arrived and I was able to communicate directly with him, was excellent. He was able to fix the tracking on my internal hub when many others have failed. He did however, arrive 1 hour late and I could not reach anyone to get a status update. The pre-appointment communication that went through the website and corporate system is horrible. The guy arrived to fix two tubeless tires. Shortly after one tire continues to leak air slowly. unfortunately I missed the 15 day period as I was not aware of this period. when I did call I was told too bad you have to repay for the entire service. Company rep was not helpful. Be very cautious with this service. Their goal is your credit card and not quality work. read more

I used Velofix to have them install a tricycle. First time the bike installer came he was up front saying it would be a two hour job and rescheduled it. So after two days they showed up on time and did a pretty good job of having the tricycle assembled right from the box. Kendall responded quickly, diagnosed the issue, created a new tool to fix the bike, completed the service in less than 2 hours, and did all of this for considerably less than what Peloton quoted. Eric Hudson (owner of Velofix EB) is a great guy. He will go out of his way to ensure your bike is working and won't let up until it is fixed. I ran into Eric on a century ride in San Ramon and he had the unfortunate pleasure of tuning up a 10 year old bike which was in its dying straights where all of my derailleurs were shot and dying. As he started to fix things on my bike others started to fail. Eric helped me through all of this even chipping in his own money to fix some of the dying parts which didn't appear broken (but probably were due to age). Eric helped me get back on the road and I was able to complete the Gran route in the Levi's Gran Fondo on the dying bike. He even offered to lend me his bike when we were struggling with the derailleurs towards the race to make sure it wouldn't be an issue. Bottom line, if you have a bike issue and need a fix, Eric will make sure you get sortied. He did have a run of unreliable mechanics that led him to have a lower rating here, and he has rectified that issue. Give him a chance if you can and you will not be disappointed. We've had a Rad Rover from Rad Power Bike's, which Velofix came and assembled, for a year now. We were so happy with their work that when my son had a biking accident a couple of weeks ago I immediately contacted Eric from Velofix and oh boy was I happy I did! He gave great advice and helped sleuth what's wrong with the bike, so I could get the right parts. This was no easy task, even Rad Power gave up, but Eric and Jim from Velofix was super determined and were able to get our bike up and running. GO to your local bike shop. The prices are absurd. I am a first time customer and thought this was a great way to have my bike serviced, especially during the Covid Pandemic. But i thought wrong, $150 minimum for service, I had purchased a $50 bike wrap and asked for them to install it. Unfortunately they also charge an additional $45 for installation, which is ridiculous. A chain is harder to replace than bar wraps and they charged $17 bucks for labor for that (which is normal) but for bar wraps?! RIDICULOUS. I then reached out to them and my expectation of spending $200-$220 for the minimal tune up became $285 bucks. Your local bike shop will provide you with cheaper prices and more value rather than scam you. Convenience wise of course it is fine but I highly recommend for anyone to go to their bike shop. Mikki, Eric's wife had the nerve to apply a discount from $285 to $276. I believe the installation should be waived when i could have installed the bar tape myself. I would have given you guys 1 star but because of the fact you can come to the house and work on the bike is the only reason why I'm giving 2. read more

Jim and his father were very helpful, easy to work with, very responsive, in coming to my home for service. My appointment was easy to set up with a personal contact at the company and with the service provider, Jim. The were on time and called ahead to let me know when to expect their visit.
