Amazing Plov, brings me back to homeland. I see people complain about the refrigerated part. See, you need to understand that they have fresh plov sometimes and sometimes they don't. It's a 24/7 restaurant so it's easier to manage that way. The taste is amazing regardless, it's a bit pricey sure but the plov is very meaty. The sense of community at this place is very welcoming, even if you're not Uzbek you can feel it. Rahmot!

Plov is flavorful, well-prepared, and the service is friendly. I highly recommend Plov House and will definitely be back!

Plov (beef and lamb)

Interesting place inside a plaza. The interior is sort of small. With a huge fridge full of food next to the front desk. We got one serving of plov and it said there was beef and lamb inside it. As far as I know if you get something to go you're getting a nice refrigerated meal in a container for about $16 after taxes. So we decided to give it a try. The beef is tender with some pieces and others seemed over cooked and charred making it very tough. You get a decent amount of food though. The rice was nicely seasoned. The edible pieces of meat has decent flavor, nothing special. On top of that it didn't seem to have any lamb in the container just beef. All in all I wish I could recommend this place but the combination of having to self microwave your own meal and a $16 price tag makes it hard to. Pieces of over cooked charred meat and what seems to be a lack of lamb makes it hard for me to give a good review.

I come to Philly every once in a while and I always try something when I come, and today was Saad's…read moreHalal Restaurant. This place is beyond popular as I walked in and there was a line and it was just loud. Not a bad thing, just shows that they don't play around here. The service was exceptional as the line did progress quickly, the man at the register easily understood the multiple meals, and the food came out quickly and was served to our table. I had the beef shawarma maroosh way which usually comes with beef, pickles, tomatoes, and garlic sauce (egg allergy so I removed it). It was so tasty, the flavors just went crazy. The rest of my family had the kefta kabob sandwich, cheesesteak (raved about and apparently very highly rated), chicken shish tawook sandwich, falafel with taboulay sandwich, and rice pudding (not pictured). Honestly, regardless of if you eat halal or not, this is a must try restaurant. The vast options on the menu can be overwhelming but you get bang for your buck as they load up on your order.

I was upset and dissapointed at the lack of flavor. The meat was not seasoned at all and looked so plain. I on my are one half and pickled through the other half. Who do cheesesteak places not season their meat!? So irritating! The fries we ordered were also just plain. No hint of salt thrown on there before or after being cooked. I asked my friend what the deal was and I was informed I was supposed to ask for salt and pepper on the steak and also get sauce on the side for the fries. I don't feel like I'll be back but if I do, it'll be with someone else that's paying because a dollar aside is ridiculous!

Marrakesh is one of my absolute favorite places to eat in Philadelphia!!…read more I wish it existed in more cities. This is a multicourse journey through Marrakesh that cannot be repeated anywhere else except for maybe in the real Marrakesh. From the Bastilla pastry, which is DIVINE, to the salads, the chicken and kebabs... all the way to the baklava and tea.... there is no bad bite at Marrakesh. The owners are welcoming and super amenable and make you feel like you're coming home every single time you visit. It's in a odd location, and you may feel like you are making a questionable life decision as you walk up the alley to the door, but when you arrive, you realize that in fact, it was one of the best decisions you've made in years!! When you enter, it's like you've been transported to a beautiful room in Morocco. The music, the decor, even the authentic seating make for an unforgettable experience. And if you get really lucky, you also get to see the belly dancers who are top notch! There is not a single thing I can think of to say that Marrakesh needs to improve. It is a one of a kind experience that I feel everyone should have at least once in life!

I'm so glad my friends wanted to come here to celebrate our Friendsgiving. The food was as good as I remembered , the service as ever warm and welcoming. Since I hadn't been for so long, I ate everything as was prepared - but I'm happy to hear it sounds like they have veg options on their tasting menu. I'm looking forward to trying that my next return. But I couldn't say no to their chicken after almost a decade I highly recommend checking out this business for a delicious family style cooked meal.
