I'm a fan! Nice decorated space, hip and great menu especially for milkshakes. Happy hour is everyday! Yay! Milkshakes are decked out and really picture worthy! I had the sangria which was a good size in a tall wine glass, $6 at happy hour (everyday). Also tried a cookies and cream milkshake. Tastes good. You can choose to add a boozy dessert shot to your milkshakes for additional $6. I tried that and I liked it, to me it wasn't overpoweringly bitter like liquor sometimes can be in a dessert

I came in recently for breakfast because I liked the vibe, a hippy sort of tribute with a big peace sign at the entrance and art from musicians of the 60's. When I got inside I enjoyed the art and general aesthetic but the lighting was off; they have two extremely bright light beams jolting across the restaurant; someone needs to reposition those. It's glaring into the sitting area in a way that is distracting at best. The breakfast menu was underwhelming; I didn't see any options for a simple breakfast plate. Big items were the burrito and sandwich. Hoping they change those things because this has a lot of potential. Latte and bacon are great! Order at the bar, take a number, and food is brought to you.

Dropped by on a Friday night for the start of SF Restaraunt Week. Although they kind of state on the menu that these are smash burgers, they aren't. Nothing wrong with the burger, I got the Korean-style Smash and it was good. There was nothing distinctly Korean about it's flavor and the burger patty was not really smashed, but it was tasty and juicy, which is most important. The fries were super crispy and the milkshake was impressive. The milkshake looked so amazing that an old lady waiting for her food felt the need to comment on how I was eating it all without anyone to share it with... -___- hahaha Even with the unprovoked reminder of existential loneliness, I enjoyed the food at PLS on Post very much. The only real, relevant gripe is that even with the RW deal, the total with tip was ~$40 for a burger, fries and milkshake. But everything was pretty tasty and filling.

Come here for the milkshakes! One of the best cookies and cream milkshakes I've had. Presentation was impeccable. The burgers could be reworked though. Got myself the "Mission Smash" and it was pretty tasteless. I was hoping to find a good guacamole burger in the city, but my search still continues. And for $17 for just a burger makes me even sadder.

CLASSIC AMERICAN SMASH with CRISPY SHOESTRING FRIES

Yummy smash burgers and fries! The burger was fresh, it had a sauce on it that was a bit sweeter than typical burger sauces, but I thought it actually complimented the sour pickles well. When I think of a smash burger, I think of crispy, lacey edges and a really thin patty, this wasn't that type of smash burger but some people prefer the not-so-smashed smash burgers. The fries were a good texture and they have homemade ketchup that's not too sweet. My cocktail which had Tito's, orange, and other similar flavors was definitely strong but still balanced, it paired well with the burger. Pretty expensive for burgers but it is a nice establishment and located next to an adjoining hotel lobby. The quality and freshness definitely came through and made it worth it.

The fries were good but the cookies and cream shake was amazing. The service was ok. You have to order and pay before you can sit down. The ambiance was ok.

Was in the area to watch a play, located within Union Square and connected to Hotel Zeppelin is this really cool full bar with amazing smash burgers and milkshakes! For a Friday night it was nice coming in without having to wait, the staff were super friendly too! You order at the counter and they deliver your food. I got the spicy peppa smash with cheddar cheese and fries. My friend got the classic American smash burger with sweet potato fries. Our food came out so quickly and the burgers and fries were delicious!! The spicy peppa smash is pretty messy though but was SO good! A good amount of spice and quad and cheese, the cheddar cheese definitely melted and my burger fell apart but no problem, I got to use my fork and knife. They also serve milkshakes and have a full bar here. Great for hotel guests or people in the area. There's street parking and some parking garages around. But a nice spot to grab something quick and a nice smash burger!

Happy hour! I'm always in search of one and this place has it daily and also late night on weeknights (Thursday to Saturday) Came in for dessert only. They have amazing milkshakes. They're pricy ($16-20) but you can add alcohol and they are monstrous. Chock full of candy and toppings. Modern interior, walk up to order / pay and get a number and sit wherever you like. A bright place more diner-style than bar. Others seemed to enjoy their burgers / fries.

I stayed at Hotel Zepplin and the convenience of PLS was unmatched. Had dinner and a delicious beer while waiting. Grabbed breakfast to go the next morning. The service was outstanding and the vibe was impeccable.

You order when you walk in. Bartender was pleasant and efficient. We placed our order and sat down. A few minutes later they brought our food to our table: Classic American Smash burger (one well, one medium-well), side of shoestring fries, a chocolate shake, and a Funfetti shake. Everything was really good. The smash burgers were done just right, the toppings were nice and fresh. Burgers cooked to perfection. Fries were excellent, and the shakes were frosty perfection. Would definitely reorder.

Good place to chill , early open , good food to eat , low key open bar. great spot for anyone looking to relax early in the day. The food is delicious, the atmosphere is calm and low-key, and the open bar adds a nice touch.

The 2nd visit the service was impeccable, everything went exactly as we had hoped. We will be back. We can recommend the scallops and the Salmon, the chicken was very tasty. Also, for the food, I recommend the dips and the fresh pitas, so good. We'll be back just for that. Reminds me of the old Berkeley restaurant years ago, Holy Land (IYKYK). Mmmm. Thanks!

The sandwich comes with a small dressed salad and three tomato halves. It was nice. The potatoes served with the sandwich were roasted but served cold and dry. Like they were left over from the night before. Randy enjoyed his mocha. We shared a very dry, flavorless except for the two small bits of jam in them, "cheese" danish. Definitely skip this $7 item that you could get at a circle k for $1.50 and it would taste fresher. You order when you walk in and someone delivers your order and then you're left to fend for yourself. We were able to locate some ketchup for the potatoes on our own. Nobody ever checked on us. This is the second place on this visit that's charging an extra 5% fee so that their employees can have a living wage and health insurance, which absolutely, every employee should have. With the prices they charge, they should already be able to do that, though. I read an article about this fee with many different names and I would rather pay a bit higher of a price and know the employees were taken care of than be surprised by this fee later. Two sandwich breakfasts, a mocha and a danish on top of tax and their healthy sf fee was $63. Steep for the quality we got. Won't be back.

Good wine and cocktail selection from the bar. I would pass on their burgers though which are mediocre. What makes this place 5-stars is the service and ambiance. Some of their staff have been there for several years, which is a testament to how well the restaurant is run. Since it's along the Embarcadero and close to Fisherman's Wharf, a lot of tourists tend to wander in. And this is probably why their website says there's a strict dress code. But I feel comfortable coming here in shorts and a t-shirt. The staff is always welcoming. I also go to the Los Altos Grill which is the same restaurant as Hillstone. The menu is pretty much the same, but the service at Hillstone is just excellent.

Then they said "please don't move around so we can get the right food to you" which, like fine but that's not the reason they didn't want us to move. You're aiming for a hoity toity atmosphere, we can move plates around. There's an obnoxious but unenforced dress code (no jerseys then someone came in with a jersey and was as seated, no baseball hats...), but the straw that broke the camels back was when the hostess asked me to stay seated while I was seated. My 4 year old needed entertainment as we were paying the bill, we were in our last few minutes there and she told me that I had to stay in my seat. Which I was. They didn't get the order right for said 4 year old: hamburger, no cheese. Showed up with cheese. If you don't want kids in your restaurant, just turn people away. But also you're on the Embarcadero, not in a fancy neighborhood. Overpriced by 20%.
