One star is too much. My son and nephew and I went there last Friday at around 2 pm. The place was not busy at all........maybe 3 other tables had people at them. We ordered the appetizer sampler which had fried mac n cheese, boneless wings, cheese sticks, and fried pickles. It came out semi-warm and none of us liked anything on there except for the fried pickles. We also ordered 2 lemonades and I ordered a beer. For the main meal we ordered 30 wings (10 for each of us) all different flavors and we were not impressed. The wings come out dripping with sauce.......so much so it's all over the bottom of the plate. The wings were dry somehow with an extra amount of sauce............we all laughed and said they overcooked them and they were just like........oh well just cover them heavily with sauce. Anyhow, the wings were probably the worst wings I have ever paid for. I left paying 77 bucks and both my nephew (21) and son (18) said they would never ever eat there again. If you want good wings and they are consistent and about 40% less go to wingstop. Its like 1 mile down bay area on the right. Oh Pluckers, how much do we love thee? I was in Austin when the "chain" (then just a small store in West Campus) opened and it's come so far. So have the prices as it used to be 25 cent wings!. So glad it's opened a location here on the SE side of Houston. It seems to be a game changer for the area by its popularity. Any busy time (evenings, weekend) you can see the line out the door. Inside is spacious with large tables around the bar, regular tables in a separate dining room, plus a patio. The patio is nice (covered, fans, TVs out there) but I can imagine warm in the summer. Not much of a view being that it's more or less located in a heavily developed area with stores, restaurants, etc. Inside it's just like most other sports bars, memorabilia on the walls, tons tons tons of TVs. Enough to have any and every game you'd want on, just find your seat and settle in. The quality and diversity of food, namely wings I mean that's why you come here, is outstanding. Nice and meaty, great sauces and rubs. Sold in groups of 5, they'll mix and match flavors for you as well. And I can't get wings without waffle fries. It might be my imagination, but I think the waffle fries at the Austin location are better than here. Here not as crisp or flavorful. Still get, still enjoy. I like to salt them up and dip a bit in the ranch dressing as well. As for the wing flavors, WARNING, "hot" is really really hot. "Medium" is pretty darn hot. "Fire in the Hole" I can eat 1 before I'm done. The scale is light. Even the Mango-habenero, which purports to be two fire icons (same as medium) I can barely eat 5. I like spicy food overall, use cayenne in cooking, mix jalapenos in everything. But they are very very hot. I haven't gone to the burger or other things menu because I go here for the wings. Great selection of beer, especially local Houston breweries and national usual favorites. It's not a tap room environment where you come for something obscure, but there is a style you'll like. Service is also fast and accurate. I sit at the bar frequently which is lightning fast service. At the tables can vary, not quite as fast, but still timely, friendly, etc. Also note for Astros fans, Pluckers gives away 5 free wings coupons if the Astros get a stolen base during the game. They expire shortly after the season, but most of the time I go, I have one of those in tow and it mitigates the cost overall (by the time I get the yummy waffle fries). This is the only Houston area Pluckers that Ive been to. Ive been to the Killeen location years ago, this is is just about the same. Service is consistently not the greatest, Im not even sure why. They seem to have plenty of staff working. We've always gotten in line using the yelp app, so getting a table is never an issue. Waiting for the waiter to finally make his way to our table takes a while. Getting our drinks always takes a while too. One time we came, Trent never got his beverage, They charged us for it, but we never got it. This last time we went the waiter said that they had a special of their appetizer Tot cups for $4 (theyre normally $7). We ordered them, and they were really good! however, we were charged the full price for them. Service aside, the food is good. We come here often because the kids love it so much. They can grub down on the chicken bites with BBQ sauce. Wrens favorite is the corn dog and house made chips. Shes even asked for an extra corn dog once. Ive gotten the blue cheese chicken salad and its pretty good. Lots of blue cheese chunks in it and the lettuce is always fresh. The Cesar salad is pretty good too, they do not skimp on the cheese on that one either. Plus it has 2 or 3 different kinds of croutons on it. The naked chicken tenders are so good with the parmesan garlic rub on them. I usually get that and Mango habanero sauce and mix the two. I've been looking forward to having Plucker's in Webster since I ate at one in Austin in 2014. I finally made it for a post-Father's Day dinner with my kids. Since it was a Monday night, I ordered the all-you-can-eat $20 bone-in special. The wings were meaty and the sauces I ordered for round one were pretty good. The initial order of AYCE wings comes with 20 wings with up to two flavors. Every order after that comes with 10 wings. I initially ordered the Lemon Pepper and the Goldrush. Honestly, the 20 filled me up but I ordered 10 more because I wanted to try the Spicy Lemon Pepper. I only ate one of that flavor. It was awful. My son had also ordered the AYCE special. Since we both ordered it, we were going split the Spicy Lemon Pepper. He didn't like them either. Of the 10 wings, we left 8 behind. The server we had mumbled too much and I never did catch her name. The time she was the most informative and talkative was when she brought our check. In general, service was a little slow compared to similar restaurants but not horrible. Bottom line - The wings were meaty with good flavors. Service was average at best. If and when I want wings again, I'll consider them. I simply don't eat them as much as I used to. It's Labor Day and my family waited an hour as we waited we asked to be seated at the tables outside (all the tables outside was empty) the weather was perfect. As I asked how much longer was the wait. I was asked if I still wanted a table outside. Once we was seated outside another large family was also seated and had no beverages at least at their table. Food is great as usual for Pluckers, but their service needs help. We had a great bartender, but it seemed like he was working the entire bar himself. He was a hustler, but it was a busy Saturday night. The wait staff that brought our food out was extremely rude and said "I heard you" with a nasty attitude when we tried asking for silverware. The training staff was laughing and joking around instead of actually facilitating training. We weren't the only ones with terrible service I heard a gentleman complaining about the same. Got a premade Batman (container is at the bottom of the barrel) taste like a grape soda with no alcohol, again odd considering how much liquor we were told was in the drink. Fantastic food and great service. For the manager: the big problem is outside. We were there Saturday just after the rains and parked behind the restaurant... or tried to. The area was covered in water and we hit the huge deep pothole that could not be seen right behind yall. Knocked out my plastic wheelwell cover completely and checking for further damage. Other plastics from wheel wells are sitting there as well so this is a continual problem that needs to be fixed asap. Not sure how much this will cost us to fix now. We visited Pluckers Wing Bar on a very slow Monday around lunch time at the recommendation of friends. The staff stands around and has to be waved down. We were one of two tables at the time, and should not have had to wait to make eye contact with the wait staff. The food itself was hit or miss. The wings were definitely tasty. The fries were very dry, almost as though they were reheated. The lemonade was probably my favorite part of the visit. The waitress recommended that we get a membership and charged for it, but did not give instructions on how to use it. So the food is okay, it's wings. It's hard to to screw that up. So what brings me to a place where I want to pay $80.00 for okay food for a family of 3? I would say they have great service, ambiance friendly staff? Yeah not here. If I owned this place most of the staff would be gone. We walked in at 5pm and was somewhat greeted. Well actually one of the hostess rolled her eyes when we walked in! They told us it would be a 30-45 min wait I said okay and got on the wait list. As we waited I counted 11 tables in the main dining area that were empty and it covered in food and trash (see pictures). We waited for 30 mins while 5 or 6 hostesses and other employees loitered and shot the shit while tables stayed empty and dirty... When we were finally seated we were seated at a table that was vacant the entire time we were waiting. (kinda frustrating) Like I said our food was okay we all had wings, but honestly bdubs is probably better. While we were eating we were seated at a table with TVs around us where they were scrolling peoples posts with the the hashtag pluckers and some of the screen names were inappropriate and kept scrolling through over and over again. First time tonight. Not terrible but not a repeat. On your first visit they give you free fried pickles. They actually fry a spear. It was well done. Served with ranch. But it was a thick pickle. It was too much. Novel. The kids had Mac n cheese and buffalo bites which are chicken nuggets. Both were hungry and neither ate those. I tried them and they weren't bad. The Mac n cheese was like real cheese. As it cooled, it became solid. The nuggets were big which is what put E off . We had wings and a buffalo basket. They will actually bring you samples of all the flavors. That was super. We picked buffalo medium and spicy mandarin. Both sauces were good. The wings were good but a little tough. The boneless buffalo wings were absurd. It was like 4 half breasts fried and rolled in sauce. It was interesting but I didn't care for the delivery. It was just like a slab of chicken. I'm glad I tried it, but I wouldn't get it again. The highlight was the fries and tots. Both were really good. I will warn you that they were unevenly salty and in some cases got too much. But still both were good. So I really struggled with the rating. Our server was great. The food was mediocre and kind of expensive. With tip, 2 entrees and 2 $5 kid meals we spent $50. That's a little much for some chicken and 10 hot wings. It took about 40 minutes from sitting down until food arrived. Not super long but a little slow. It was busy and it's a new restaurant so that seems ok. Anyway, I just don't feel like the food was special. I love hot wings and I feel a little let down. So pluckers finally made it in Clear Lake! The famous Austin based wing bar is absolutely a great addition to the wing scene in the area. I've known pluckers for years now. My cousin introduced it to me when I would go to visit him back when he was in College. The wings are pretty solid- they have their own specialty flavors that are so good. My favorite is definitely the Baker's gold. They also have specialty cocktails served in mason jars that could easily creep up on you! As far as this location goes, it's fairly new and I really didn't expect everything to run smoothly. They have been open for a month no, and it seems like the service has not really improved. On our most recent visit, we sat at the bar for almost 20 minutes before we were acknowledged. I understand it's a packed house, but a simple hey hello would have been promising I believe that the service will improve. It's a great place to watch the games, have some bomb ass wings, and have a drink or two. I will definitely return here, but I'm hoping things get better soon! read more

I went to this restaurant because the restaurant I initially wanted to go to was closed. I was excited to get some wings and fried foods because it was just that kind of day! We walked in and were sat right in front of the restrooms. This wasn't a big deal however, when our initial waitress moved us to a table further back, there was no handoff so nobody was waiting on us. Second, when our actual waitress noticed us, she seemed to be very annoyed that we got moved her section. Every interaction we had with her was one word. She was very curt with us. My table, and I understood that she might be having a hard day, so we just ignored it for the most part. My table ordered the fried pickles, boneless wings, and standard wings. The fried pickles were good and very hot upon arrival. The boneless wings I got were actually the wrong order, because they were the "naked" ones without breading. I ate them anyway and would rate them a 4.5/10. It was just a boiled chicken breast dipped in sauce. The standard wings were fried to the point of being rock hard. So all in all, the food was pretty subpar. Our waitress (curly black hair, tied low) started getting a little nicer to us toward the end once she remembered we would have to tip, but never had a welcoming attitude. We overheard her talking to other tables and she was incredibly nice. We were being very kind in an effort to get better service to no avail. She even rolled her eyes at us in the beginning when we told her we moved to sit away from the restroom because of the smell and high traffic of restroom-goers. Do not recommend. Brand spanking new location in the Clear Lake Area. Finally Pluckers comes to my side of town! No more long drives and parking headaches with the other location!! There was plenty of parking, no annoying valet to contend with. The inside was very similar to other locations as was the food. I went with the Boneless Wing Basket with Spicy Mandarin sauce, it didn't disappoint. There is a huge outdoor patio that looked very nice, but it was a little chilly the day we went. I was super excited there's a pluckers on my side of town. They were one of my fav wing places while I was in college. It was pretty packed on Sunday due to all the football games but the wait for a table wasn't too long. Fried pickles are a must! They come in spears (not chips) and have a slight sweetness in the batter. Since we also wanted fried mac n cheese, we just ordered the sampler for a few dollars more than getting the pickles and fried mac separately. As for wings, there are so many flavors to please anyone's palate. I tend to favor the ranch flavor but need at least one semi sweet option (gold rush) to cut all the saltiness. I'm glad they decided to open a location on the south side. I will come here often for my wing cravings. read more

All I have to say is that the service was awesome and our wings were perfect!! I believe our waiters name was Philip and he gave us some amazing service. We sat outside on a beautiful evening and I wanted to see how good the service would be since outside customers usually get forgotten. (Based off many experiences of choosing outside seating over inside seating. Yes. I love the sun and Houston heat.) We were greeted promptly by Philip and he made us feel comfortable. He offered to bring out any wing flavors that we were curious about. Then he went to get our drinks. My boyfriend and I weren't sure what to get but I knew the type of flavor I wanted. Sweet, salty and spicy all in one. I asked Philip what he thought would be the best wing flavor for me and he sure did deliver. He recommended the Ginger Peach Sriracha sauce. Let me tell ya. I will be going back for this recommended flavor. It was a perfect balance of everything I had asked for. The chicken itself was crunchy and moist. The batter was not cakey and the sauce was not making the wings soggy. I was extremely impressed with the wings. The potato chips that were served as a side were also very good! Then we decided to get the Fried Oreos for a dessert. The manager was SUPER nice and decided to give it to us on the house because we had just had twins and he was expecting his own twins soon.
