Be prepared to be ignored and get yesterdays food/drinks. Walked in with no one hardly here, no one comes to take drink order, so we get up and go to the bar. Your drink menu doesn't say what's in the drinks.... Odd.... Got a premade Batman (container is at the bottom of the barrel) taste like a grape soda with no alcohol, again odd considering how much liquor we were told was in the drink. Got at least 20 staff members and yet.... Hardly anyone here to wait on. Got our food, and the fries were stale and cold. Really? Not trying to be a Karen, but we changed waitresses twice since sitting at the bar. I think I'm good with not coming back. read more

Food is great as usual for Pluckers, but their service needs help. We had a great bartender, but it seemed like he was working the entire bar himself. He was a hustler, but it was a busy Saturday night. The wait staff that brought our food out was extremely rude and said "I heard you" with a nasty attitude when we tried asking for silverware. The training staff was laughing and joking around instead of actually facilitating training. We weren't the only ones with terrible service I heard a gentleman complaining about the same. Fantastic food and great service. For the manager: the big problem is outside. We were there Saturday just after the rains and parked behind the restaurant... or tried to. The area was covered in water and we hit the huge deep pothole that could not be seen right behind yall. Knocked out my plastic wheelwell cover completely and checking for further damage. Other plastics from wheel wells are sitting there as well so this is a continual problem that needs to be fixed asap. Not sure how much this will cost us to fix now. PLEASE at least put a cone or something there to signal not to drive over it especially when it can't be seen and get it and all the broken concrete around it fixed. Thank you. read more

I went to this restaurant because the restaurant I initially wanted to go to was closed. I was excited to get some wings and fried foods because it was just that kind of day! We walked in and were sat right in front of the restrooms. This wasn't a big deal however, when our initial waitress moved us to a table further back, there was no handoff so nobody was waiting on us. Second, when our actual waitress noticed us, she seemed to be very annoyed that we got moved her section. Every interaction we had with her was one word. She was very curt with us. My table, and I understood that she might be having a hard day, so we just ignored it for the most part. My table ordered the fried pickles, boneless wings, and standard wings. The fried pickles were good and very hot upon arrival. The boneless wings I got were actually the wrong order, because they were the "naked" ones without breading. I ate them anyway and would rate them a 4.5/10. It was just a boiled chicken breast dipped in sauce. The standard wings were fried to the point of being rock hard. So all in all, the food was pretty subpar. Our waitress (curly black hair, tied low) started getting a little nicer to us toward the end once she remembered we would have to tip, but never had a welcoming attitude. We overheard her talking to other tables and she was incredibly nice. We were being very kind in an effort to get better service to no avail. She even rolled her eyes at us in the beginning when we told her we moved to sit away from the restroom because of the smell and high traffic of restroom-goers. Do not recommend. We visited Pluckers Wing Bar on a very slow Monday around lunch time at the recommendation of friends. The staff stands around and has to be waved down. We were one of two tables at the time, and should not have had to wait to make eye contact with the wait staff. The food itself was hit or miss. The wings were definitely tasty. The fries were very dry, almost as though they were reheated. The lemonade was probably my favorite part of the visit. The waitress recommended that we get a membership and charged for it, but did not give instructions on how to use it. So the food is okay, it's wings. It's hard to to screw that up. So what brings me to a place where I want to pay $80.00 for okay food for a family of 3? I would say they have great service, ambiance friendly staff? Yeah not here. If I owned this place most of the staff would be gone. We walked in at 5pm and was somewhat greeted. Well actually one of the hostess rolled her eyes when we walked in! They told us it would be a 30-45 min wait I said okay and got on the wait list. As we waited I counted 11 tables in the main dining area that were empty and it covered in food and trash (see pictures). We waited for 30 mins while 5 or 6 hostesses and other employees loitered and shot the shit while tables stayed empty and dirty... When we were finally seated we were seated at a table that was vacant the entire time we were waiting. (kinda frustrating) Like I said our food was okay we all had wings, but honestly bdubs is probably better. While we were eating we were seated at a table with TVs around us where they were scrolling peoples posts with the the hashtag pluckers and some of the screen names were inappropriate and kept scrolling through over and over again. So not appropriate for family dining. Very disappointed in this place. Bdubs is always packed I was hoping this would be a good alternative... it's not. read more

First time tonight. Not terrible but not a repeat. On your first visit they give you free fried pickles. They actually fry a spear. It was well done. Served with ranch. But it was a thick pickle. It was too much. Novel. The kids had Mac n cheese and buffalo bites which are chicken nuggets. Both were hungry and neither ate those. I tried them and they weren't bad. The Mac n cheese was like real cheese. As it cooled, it became solid. The nuggets were big which is what put E off . We had wings and a buffalo basket. They will actually bring you samples of all the flavors. That was super. We picked buffalo medium and spicy mandarin. Both sauces were good. The wings were good but a little tough. The boneless buffalo wings were absurd. It was like 4 half breasts fried and rolled in sauce. It was interesting but I didn't care for the delivery. It was just like a slab of chicken. I'm glad I tried it, but I wouldn't get it again. The highlight was the fries and tots. Both were really good. I will warn you that they were unevenly salty and in some cases got too much. But still both were good. So I really struggled with the rating. Our server was great. The food was mediocre and kind of expensive. With tip, 2 entrees and 2 $5 kid meals we spent $50. That's a little much for some chicken and 10 hot wings. It took about 40 minutes from sitting down until food arrived. Not super long but a little slow. It was busy and it's a new restaurant so that seems ok. Anyway, I just don't feel like the food was special. I love hot wings and I feel a little let down. So pluckers finally made it in Clear Lake! The famous Austin based wing bar is absolutely a great addition to the wing scene in the area. I've known pluckers for years now. My cousin introduced it to me when I would go to visit him back when he was in College. The wings are pretty solid- they have their own specialty flavors that are so good. My favorite is definitely the Baker's gold. They also have specialty cocktails served in mason jars that could easily creep up on you! As far as this location goes, it's fairly new and I really didn't expect everything to run smoothly. They have been open for a month no, and it seems like the service has not really improved. On our most recent visit, we sat at the bar for almost 20 minutes before we were acknowledged. I understand it's a packed house, but a simple hey hello would have been promising I believe that the service will improve. It's a great place to watch the games, have some bomb ass wings, and have a drink or two. I will definitely return here, but I'm hoping things get better soon! read more

Brand spanking new location in the Clear Lake Area. Finally Pluckers comes to my side of town! No more long drives and parking headaches with the other location!! There was plenty of parking, no annoying valet to contend with. The inside was very similar to other locations as was the food. I went with the Boneless Wing Basket with Spicy Mandarin sauce, it didn't disappoint. There is a huge outdoor patio that looked very nice, but it was a little chilly the day we went. It's really good and has a good variety of wings. I usually get the Boneless Wing Basket. The dinner portion comes with four wings and the lunch portion comes with three. It is really good. I get the Manganero and the Gochucjang. The manganero starts seat and spicy and ends spicy. The Gochujang starts off sweet and the spicyness comes after a little while. I was super excited there's a pluckers on my side of town. They were one of my fav wing places while I was in college. It was pretty packed on Sunday due to all the football games but the wait for a table wasn't too long. Fried pickles are a must! They come in spears (not chips) and have a slight sweetness in the batter. Since we also wanted fried mac n cheese, we just ordered the sampler for a few dollars more than getting the pickles and fried mac separately. As for wings, there are so many flavors to please anyone's palate. I tend to favor the ranch flavor but need at least one semi sweet option (gold rush) to cut all the saltiness. I'm glad they decided to open a location on the south side. I will come here often for my wing cravings. read more

I picked up some wings and fried pickles to go from here yesterday and the food was pretty good. I got the bakers gold which was my favorite and the vampire killer which was okay. It was definitely over priced but I know prices have gone up on everything recently so I don't hold that against them. However, I was nauseous about 30 mins after eating my meal and have been nauseous ever since. I'm still feeling pretty ill this morning and I can't help but think it was the chicken wings. I've worked in fast food and am pretty good at detecting food that's been fried in old oil and the chicken wings had a bit of that old oil taste. I came here to see if anyone else had the same complaint and I saw another review stating the same thing. You guys really need to change that oil out and watch your food quality. read more

All I have to say is that the service was awesome and our wings were perfect!! I believe our waiters name was Philip and he gave us some amazing service. We sat outside on a beautiful evening and I wanted to see how good the service would be since outside customers usually get forgotten. (Based off many experiences of choosing outside seating over inside seating. Yes. I love the sun and Houston heat.) We were greeted promptly by Philip and he made us feel comfortable. He offered to bring out any wing flavors that we were curious about. Then he went to get our drinks. My boyfriend and I weren't sure what to get but I knew the type of flavor I wanted. Sweet, salty and spicy all in one. I asked Philip what he thought would be the best wing flavor for me and he sure did deliver. He recommended the Ginger Peach Sriracha sauce. Let me tell ya. I will be going back for this recommended flavor. It was a perfect balance of everything I had asked for. The chicken itself was crunchy and moist. The batter was not cakey and the sauce was not making the wings soggy. I was extremely impressed with the wings. The potato chips that were served as a side were also very good! Then we decided to get the Fried Oreos for a dessert. The manager was SUPER nice and decided to give it to us on the house because we had just had twins and he was expecting his own twins soon. HOWEVER, the service we received tonight was absolutely unacceptable. our table decided we wanted a second round of drinks, so our server of course said okay, took our order, and that was that. a whopping 30 minutes later we ask "hey it's been quite a while since we ordered our drinks do you mind checking on them" and she's gonna say "oh actually it might take a while since there's no food on the table" mind you, we had just finished our appetizers. and i understand there are rules that need to be followed when serving alcohol BUT she should have communicated that with us the moment we ordered that second round. anyways, we finally after about 45 min of waiting receive our food, but still no drinks. we ask again, just to find out she had NEVERR put in the order of drinks for us. at this point we are all almost done with our food when just TWO of the FOUR beers we ordered arrive at the table. we then tell her (very nicely btw) "hey we're just missing the two beers and then we're all good" and she then lets us know that she would go check on them. okay coool maybe the bar is backed up no worries. now 20-30 more minutes have gone by and still NOO DRINKS. we then just ask for our check and kindly ask her to make sure the last two beers we ordered were removed since we never received them. she reply's with "oh yes i already got those taken off for you" and by the way not one time did she mention that those drinks would never come.... by this point we are all just wanting to go home so we ask for an itemized receipt and she gives us one, and can yalll guess what happened...? drinks were not taken off. please take this as a warning to save your money and go somewhere that's WORTH your money. because pluckers is not it. read more

We may be the only people that did not enjoy the restaurant. First of all, I was not impressed with the labeling of the restrooms, nor did I like some of the names on the menu "Mother Pluckers", really. There were several children there and appeared to be there for lunch after church as we were also. One in our party ordered a salad. There were no crackers or any type of bread served with it. Most restaurants offer one or the other. When she asked, the server said they had neither. I ordered tater tots with my wings and got waffle fries. Whenever I ordered the wings and the server asked what type sauce, I replied " any kind that isn't hot and spicy". They were so hot that I couldn't eat them. Bad experience, went the other night we put in our order as soon as she came to ask us for the drinks ,ordered an appetizer and a boneless basket the appetizer which came out fine in a timely matter after this waited so long for my boneless basket shortly after diffident waiter came by and told us he was taking over I continued to wait after a while manger came over and said bc the wait it would be on them. The food finally came out, asked for an extra plate which was brought out on the plate there was a hair, waiter quickly brought out another, asked for check.
