We have been here a few times now, but this time was just okay. The service was good at first, but then at the end of our meal, we had to wait to pay. The food is always on point. We decided to try the fried pickles as an appetizer, but the skin was a little too thick to easily chew. I was mostly surprised by the bill. Love the service; did not love the wine. And the food couldn't compensate, despite a noble effort from their fried cheese curds. We sampled four red wines (3946, Embers, Merlot and Cabernet Franc). Only the Merlot was serviceable. The rest were bad decisions, and it takes a lot for me to not want to drink alcohol! The Riesling was on the sweeter side and probably the best of the six drink flight. The Symphony ice wine was a nice dessert wine, so sweet whites may be their sweet spot. I hoped to turn things around by getting a cider flight, but Plum Run's offerings were hit or miss. The Nice Pear and Dave's Gold were light, almost to a fault. But the Hula Girl Pineapple Cider had a distinct flavor which was an upgrade, and the best of the bunch was the Blueberry Lemonade Cider. Food-wise, my bison burger and sweet potato fries were fine. My wife's Turkey Bacon Club was fine. I think setting your expectations to "fine" would be doing yourself a favor if you visit. read more

When we first visited this location it was just one room that only served wine. Now they have a very large space where you can order wine, beer, cider, cocktails and food. We always enjoy our visits here and the food is always wonderful. We recently stopped for breakfast and really enjoyed everything we ordered. read more

My wife and I went on a somewhat busy Saturday afternoon. We were seated quickly and our initial orders were take swiftly as well. A pretzel and a wine/beer flight. The pretzel came out quickly with the flights shortly after. The wine flights are 6 one ounce pours and the beers are 4 four ounce pours. My wife either outright didn't like or was very mild about all 7 wines she got (one was a mistake that they let her keep and got the correct one) and 2 of my beers were great, one just ok, and the last horrible lol This is all admittedly a matter of taste, but still sad that most of $20 worth of alcohol wasn't great. For food we got a flatbread and a burger. Wife thought the flatbread was alright and I thought the same about the burger. All the burger toppings and sauces were good but the patty itself wasn't very good - just kinda tasted a little burnt even if the inside was a nice medium. Service overall was fast enough but could teter into bordering on taking too long. The inside had a nice vibe and everything seemed clean. All in all very middle of the road experience with good elements but just as many neutral and bad. We don't regret going but the recommendation is def just a maybe. read more

We stopped here on our way to Mansfield for a quick food break. We each ordered a flight of wine as well as the charcuterie board and the fried pickles. First off, the space is super cute and our service was quick and attentive, without being overwhelming. The flights came out labeled and our server left us with a wine menu so we knew what the tasting notes were. For food - fried pickles spears are the superior fried pickle. These were delicious with the perfect amount of breading. The dip had a little bit to spice to it but it worked well. As far as the charcuterie, the whipped feta is still living rent free in my head. It was the best thing I ate. And we put that on EVERYTHING. Strawberries, cheese on cheese, bread, etc. It all got the whipped feta treatment. I really really enjoyed this place. From the outdoor seating to the yummy food, this restaurant gets a solid 5 stars from me. We went for dinner on a warm evening, so we sat outside. It was nice because the umbrellas and bushes provided shade. I started off with the street tacos (10% off any appetizer when you check in on Yelp). Delicious! I skipped on the sriracha, but the tacos were still excellent without it. I was so hungry that I ate all three! I also got the grilled chicken club with a side of fries. I've never seen fries shaped the way they are here. It almost looks like they came out of a spiralizer. They were great! And the ketchup is made in-house. The tomato flavor is really pronounced, so I was a huge fan. The chicken was tender and seasoned well. Not to mention, the bread had the slightest hint of sweetness. Overall, an awesome sandwich. I had to take half of it home because I was so stuffed from the tacos. My boyfriend asked for a few items on the menu, which they were out of, but his backup choices were great! My friend and I went to Plum Run Winery on a whim on Friday night. The wineries in the back of Grove City Brewery which was a tad confusing but if you go into the restaurant, you just tell them what you want. we weren't sure what kind of food we would be receiving at this restaurant or winery but we sat anyway as we wanted a wine tasting The wine tasting is eight dollars for many tastings which is a great deal but I was not a huge fan of the wine itself. It is a cool experience but some of the wine which is not good or I have bad insights on the ones I ordered. Again, this is on my experience alone. The giant pretzel appetizer is a must have! They asked if we wanted it deep-fried and we were like we're not sure and she told us to get it. Our waitress was not wrong whatsoever. The pretzel was fantastic and I've never had a giant pretzel deep-fried. The cheese dip was great and I am not a big mustard person but I liked this one. For my entrée, I got the bruschetta flatbread which I was kind of disappointed by because of the thickness of the flatbread. I like my flatbread very thin and this was not it. The flatbread was not bad but it just was not what I was expecting I will definitely be back as I had a great experience but maybe will try the beer instead of the wine next time read more

I went to a special event at Plum Run - a tapas wine tasing dinner. Because I don't eat beef/pork, my friend called ahead and asked if they could accomodate - they agreed. After purchasing my ticket, I reached back out to confirm accomodations and there was not an issue. One the night of the event, I notified the staff that I was the no-red meat guest and everything was just great! Our tickets came with the wine tasting selections as well as 1 full glass of a wine from their menu. My friend got a glass from the pairing selections and I chose their blackberry. I didn't get a strong blackberry flavor, but the wine was semi-sweet and a very fruity blend, so it was quite nice. First course was shrimp and grits with pork belly (or no pork belly if you ask). This was one of the favorites - the grits were creamy but not too soft and the shrimp had a nice Cajun seasoning. Chili - I had their creamy tomato bisque for this course and it was delightful. Salad course - These were some serious salads with a very generous helping of mixed greens (like, main dish sized) and apples, cranberries, and pecans. They came out dressed, but they hit the dressing amount just right, so I didn't mind. Main - seared tuna with sesame seeds and quiona. This was the weakest of the courses. the tuna was overcooked and didn't have a sauce to augment the slighly dry fish. The sesame seed coating was interseting and had a nice flavor, but didn't really shine since the fish was rather dry. Dessert was a piece of chocolate to complement either the dessert apple wine or the port wine. I'll be honest here - I wanted more chocolate or a larger serving, but I love sweets, so, there is that. The owner had interesting and informative things to say as each wine was served, and then stepped away to let you enjoy your food and drink. The timing was pretty spot on - enough time to eat and drink each course, but no rush and not too much waiting. All guests were seated at a single large table in the winery. There were frequently refilled water carafes on the table as well, which was very much appreciated! After dinner, tours were offered, or you could enjoy additional glasses of wine. One of the staff came around and did bottle sales for take home at the table, which was also nice. I appreciated the accommodation for my dietary request very much. Overall, I enjoyed the event and will keep an eye out for future events. read more

This is not really a winery. They have wine but I feel like the brewery part of the business is more prominent. Went with a small group and had a good time visiting but didn't really enjoy the wine. The weather was perfect for a relaxing meal out on their gorgeous patio. The wine is quality and the prices are amazing! During happy hour wine is $2 off per glass. The wines we choose came out to $4 a glass, wow that's a good deal. Plum Run Winery shares a space with Grove City Brewing Company which means you can sit on either side and order from both places. Loved the patio, the service was great and the wine was fantastic. I am definitely coming back to try more of their wines. The restaurant and a relaxed atmosphere with so very contemporary decor the ambiance would remind you of being at jazz club listening to Somme smooth jazz music. This place was amazing i was absolutely surprised. So I may get in trouble for this from other places but by far the best buffalo chicken sandwich in town. Staff and services: Came here for a date night with my boyfriend and the employees weren't particularly friendly. Their speed of service was horrible it took them forever to get us seated and there weren't many people here to begin with. It took them 20 minutes to ask if we wanted anything after being seated. Menu: It was very annoying to me we were only given one food menu for the two of us but we were given quite a few drink menus that we're duplicate which to me just seems unnecessary. The food was subpar at best. We ordered the meat and cheese board and it was disappointing. The meat and cheese were warm which was just gross. My wine flight was lack luster it was quite boring and needless to say I've had way better wine elsewhere. My boyfriend got the beer flight and it was warm and flat they tasted atrocious. Overall, the service was lackluster, the food was bad and the service was untimely but overall it didn't make a good impression, and the atmosphere wasn't really memorable. One of my new favorite places to go in downtown Grove City. Their drink menu has many delicious sounding drinks. I can't wait to work my way through them all. I started off with the blueberry basil lemonade, and a pina colada wine slushie. Both were amazing! The food is great. The hummus plate quickly became one of my favorites. It kind of annoyed me we were only given one food menu for two people but we were given like a stack of five menus all various drink menus which to me just seems unnecessary. They do have good gluten free option for those who are GF. The food was alright, the lettuce on my sandwich was wilted and kind of gnarly on the edges. Also who doesn't put pickles on a buffalo chicken sandwich? Maybe I'm too strict with my buffalo chicken sandwich standard but that was kind of disappointing. A true winery experience this is not. The variety of wines we had were tasty and that much I enjoyed and our server was nice. Here's my rub, we were seeking an authentic local winery experience in a quiet and cozy pseudo-rural setting amongst some central Ohio grape fields. What we found was loud Gastro pub in the middle of Suburban sprawl with a rowdy beer drinking crowd because it shares a space with a brewery. It checks all the boxes if you're looking for an Applebee's upgrade but not if you want to have a quiet evening enjoying and learning about central Ohio wines. We did enjoy ourselves, which is why we get along so famously, but will seek our local winery fix elsewhere in the future. read more

I've been here a handful of times and really do like it. The wine is good, I don't love it, but there's some good ones that I really enjoy. Their sweet reds are really good and so is the Apple wine. The wine and paint night that they offer is super fun but a little cramped space-wise. The live music they have outside in the warmer months can't be beat and you can bring your favorite local pizza (Planks!) from just down the street out on the patio. Their menu is limited but does the trick and I overheard them talking about expanding their offerings so this sounds like something they're looking into. If you're into craft beer, the beer company they're associated with, Grove City Brewing, has their own beers and some other craft choices (Wolfs Ridge, etc) available. Nice staff and they're very helpful when telling you back info on the wines and beers. They remember you, which is nice and they're just all around good people. read more

Love the concept of a brewery and winery in one! We were visiting the area from Long Island and in my searches online I happened to find this spot. The stout oatmeal beer was loved by my boyfriends dad and I had a tasting of wines, both red and wine. We tried the pretzel and Brussels sprouts which were delicious! The wine maker Dave was kind enough to spend time speaking with us about how the place started, how they expanded, and how plans for the future. Wonderful man. Finally tried this winery, which is effectively part of the brewery with a shared kitchen, etc. The wines were awful. Everything had that grandpa's bathtub wine flavor to it. I'm not a wine snob by any means, but these all tasted bad and the food was crappy as well. Burnt flatbreads, and a black bean and corn salsa that tasted canned despite being called scratch made. Um, guys? You're in Grove City. You can get fresh sweet corn for a few cents an ear. Use it. read more

We live close by and have tried so hard to like this place. The beer is good, but the food is always disappointing. Expensive and always just seems off. We have been hearing for months that the menu would change and it finally did. Still disappointing. My food is usually barely warm and just not where it should be for what the price is. My wife and I with a three year old was just 100$ and we ended up taking our food home so it can be fixed before warmed up and eaten. We are total food people and want this place to be another great stop in walking distance, but it seems like the place just flounders. We will keep periodically stopping in hoping to see an uptick. I was really impressed by this winery and the quality wine that is being made. Plum Run is an urban winery in the heart of old Grove City. It is owned and operated by a husband and wife team who spend 7 years researching before opening the winery. Wine is made either from grapes located in a vineyard outside of town, or when available Ohio products. In talking with the owner/winemaker the wines are all about balance. Flavors of sour, bitter, sweet are all in balance, never too much of one flavor over powering another. Red, white, rose and fruit wines are all available. My husband and I tried just about everything availability. Each tasting is a dollar for a one ounce pour. I can't say there was a wine I didn't like. I really enjoyed the apple made from a combination of three making for a balance combination between sweet, sour and spice. Again it is all about balance. even of the naturally sweet and grapey wines of Concord and Niagara were not rot your teeth out sweet and had a nice balance to them. Winery has a limited menu of cheese and sandwiches to munch while enjoying some wine. Events on the weekends also involve woodfire pizza, hamburgers and live music. This is a great winery that is worth a visit! read more
