    Hired Water Heaters Only to replace a water heater in Hayward. Often the truest test of a quality…read morebusiness is how they perform when things do not go well. In my case, I have quite a story of having to go five days without hot water because the unit I received was defective. The day after the install we found the tank had shut down. After a reset and restart done over the phone with the installer assisting, the unit failed again, a short time later. The next day which was a Saturday, another technician came out to swap out a heat sensor which appeared to be the problem. While changing out the part, the tech noticed that insulation near the assembly had burned, and ash was present. He vacuumed it out and restarted the unit. It made a horrible noise, and he spent a half an hour on the phone with the manufacturer tech support trying to diagnose the problem. The noise eventually went away and he finished the repair. Unfortunately the machine shut down again after we got one warm shower. I called on Sunday, and explained that I was no longer comfortable with the unit being in our house and I wanted a replacement, of a different maker. Without hesitation they agreed, and Monday morning, after acquiring a, more expensive model of a different make from a supplier, we got a replacement installed, at no additional cost. These problems are rare, and not the fault of the installer. I could not have asked for a more timely and considerate treatment as a valued customer of this business.

We highly recommend them and feel that we have received good value for our money. The heaters have performed well and have exceeded our expectations. We would not use any other company to service or install water heaters.

    Long hair = clogged drain…read more I've tried EVERY drain catcher imaginable. The hair in drain issue persists. I bought those plastic hook sticks to pull my hair out. I bought the metal snake situation. Nope, my long hair is undefeated What to do? Call the plumber. When you own your home, things like this need to be addressed. That is your pipe in your bathroom. If you can't clear it, call someone who can. Zaragoza Plumbing has consistently fixed whatever plumbing needs I've had over the years. It's so nice to have a go-to for my plumbing needs knowing whoever shows up will be polite, professional, skilled, and affordable. My hair clog took about 10 mins with something machine sounding. Maybe a drill with an attachment? I'm getting ready to donate my 8th ponytail of more than 12" to children with hair loss. Thanks to Zaragoza plumbing, this labor of love donating my long hair over and over is possible.

The permit inspector found some shortcuts…read morethey tried to make and they addressed them in order to get signed off, however, they were a bit sloppy when they did their work and I had to repaint my garage door since they used it as a "shelf" for the blue PVC cement while lathering the pipes. Within a couple weeks of installation, the main board on the Navien water heater went bad, and I had to get in the middle of the negotiations with the water heater company on who was going to cover the labor cost since it was under warranty.

Not only did he made it possible to get me scheduled in before the weekend (super busy) but he got me the exact model of water heater I was looking for. I don't really know too much about water heaters but I do know that my old one lasted me a long time and I wanted to MAKE SURE to stick with the brand. John stated that they don't usually sell that type of water heater but since I was dead set on it he would make it happen just for me. And he came through and delivered. When he came to my place, he was respectful and was very careful when taking out the old one. He pretty much treated it like his own home. Then he was even more careful placing in the new one. AT LAST! Hot water again! The following day I got a call back from the owner asking how the service was and how John was. I obviously only had great things to say. But it was still nice to know that the owner is involved in the business and that he actually cares how each job was handled. Personally, I feel it goes a long way when a business reaches out to their customers to follow up - not necessarily because something went wrong, but just because. I really appreciated that and it made me feel like a valued customer and they do really care about their work and reputation, thanks again!

Anyway, having kids that need to shower, I needed to get it fixed ASAP. I didn't think I was going to get anyone at 4am but luckily or to my surprise, someone answered and John was at my door around 7am!!!! Thank you! Anyway, John was definitely informative and walked me through the process of what he was planning to do and how long it'll take for my hot showers to come back! He worked fast, efficient, and cleaned up the minimal mess that was made. Before he left, he made sure my water would turn hot seconds after warming it up. 10/10 recommend because this company is really 24/7 and they are extremely easy to make an apt with and easily gets you back your hot showers

Hakim arrived on time with his son and they were super helpful and friendly, and answered every question I had. They pointed out the issues with the previous installation and fixed these hacks. You can tell that Hakim really knows what he's doing! The water heater replacement job was completed quickly and professionally, and they cleaned up everything afterwards. He gave me the link to register the water heater for the warranty. Everything was easy and looks great. Highly recommend!

They were the most competitively priced, easy to schedule, showed up on time, and were incredibly friendly. The installation process was smooth and professional--couldn't have asked for a better experience. Fast forward three years, and we suddenly weren't getting hot water. The only Rinnai approved plumber for servicing in our area came out and couldn't figure out the issue, which was frustrating. I called Hakim directly, and he came out the very next day and resolved the problem. His level of service was truly outstanding--knowledgeable, responsive, and great to work with. I'll definitely be a repeat customer and highly recommend them.

BeastBay almost blew my house up!…read more Another thing to note, if you are considering doing business with them, is that they have an F rating with the Better Business Bureau due to 2 other complaints they did not respond to. I had used BeastBay Plumbing once before when we had a drain problem. They were responsive, and the tech was friendly and informative. He fixed the problem, and we signed up for their loyalty program. I knew our water heater was nearing the end of its lifespan, and I called them to get a quote. Sydney came out and explained the options. I ended up going for the tankless water heater. I also got quotes to replace a kitchen faucet and install a new shower fixture. The techs who showed up were courteous, but they arrived a couple of hours later than I had expected. I anticipated the faucet and shower fixture jobs to go fairly quickly, but they took almost two hours. Then they started work on the water heater. What Sydney hadn't discussed was the need for direct power to the tankless system or a new vent. The tech wanted to open the ceiling up, but as it's a two-story house with a tile roof, that was a hard no. They ended up doing a vent through the side of the house. At first, they said it would be a two-day job, which wasn't mentioned when I booked, but after getting the side vent in, they said they'd finish that day. Here is where things go very, very badly. The next day, I went into the garage to move a car. I was overwhelmed by the smell of gas. I called BeastBay, and the phone center told me to call 911, which I did. In the meantime, I opened the garage door. I realized after I hit the button that, should anything spark, the whole place could go up. Thankfully, it didn't. The fire department came out, pinpointed that BeatBay had not tightened the gas connection to the tankless unit and turned it off. Then began a 2+ hour marathon of calls to BeastBay to get someone out immediately. Except they didn't. I had to call the office 4 times and then had 3 separate conversations with them. In the meantime, Sydney came back out to see what was up. I explained the severity of the gas leak and told him I wasn't happy he hadn't mentioned needing direct power or the need to re-vent from the previous water heater. Sydney indicated there would be a small rebate, and they would service the unit going forward free of charge. The tech showed up, apologized for not securing the gas line, tightened it up, and left. This was a week and a half ago. I heard nothing more from BeastBay. I called the office on Wednesday and asked that they memorialize what Sydney had said during our meeting in writing. The woman who answered, Sarah?, said she'd have to check with Sydney, in a tone that said she didn't believe he had offered anything. She came back and said that was correct, and she'd send it over by email. Nothing was forthcoming. I've called the office twice today, twice no one answered, and the third time it went to a general voicemail. I received a phone call 2 + weeks after the incident. The woman I spoke to apologized, but assumed everything was fine. I explained how VERY unhappy I was with both the work they did and their lack of responsiveness. She said she would talk to the owner and get back to me yesterday or today. No call. AVOID. AVOID. AVOID. To say I'm disappointed in the service is an understatement. This is a massive failure on every front.
