Scope of work: recessed gas valve box behind stove, water softener installation, re-route water feed pipes, p-trap addition for laundry, toilet replacements, and leaking sewer main repair. Service: We contacted Plumber XP initially just for recessing the gas valve. Gabriel came out to do an estimate and was able to complete the work on the same day. We appreciated him spending time explaining the work that needed to be done and finding the best solution (instead of whatever was the quickest fix). That gave us the confidence to move forward with getting his estimate for a few other plumbing upgrades that we've been wanting to get done. Workmanship: The team worked efficiently and tested everything thoroughly before wrapping up. Unlike other estimates we had received that required stucco work or deemed the job impossible, Gabriel and Eddie's expertise allowed them to complete the work by only accessing the drywall inside and rerouting some water lines. The only hiccup was with the initial location of the water softener -- it was too close to a bedroom, and the noise from the regeneration cycles would wake us up. While the team was able to relocate it, it would've been ideal if a more suitable location was recommended in the first place. In good faith, I initially engaged the services of a company operating under the name High Speed Rooter & Plumbing. This entity failed to perform any substantive work to remedy the issue, yet imposed upon me an unconscionable charge of $2,800. Their representatives engaged in conduct that was not only unprofessional but discriminatory and offensive, including a remark to the effect of: "You know when there's an old person living in the house when you see a prescription for Ibuprofen." If I could give 6 stars I would! Joey T and Enrique were amazing! Professional, responsive, communicative, tidy, and knowledgeable, what more can you ask for? Joey T did a phenomenal job analyzing the issue and presenting us with different options to choose from. At the end of each day, he gave us a report of what they'd accomplished and what was still left to do, as well as telling us about any challenges they encountered along the way and how they were planning on solving them. They always made sure to clean up before departing each day and made sure we had a working shower each night to keep disruptions to a minimum while the project was under way. It seemed that no matter what our home was throwing at them, they were prepared to handle! Part of the resolution for the issue was digging a pretty large hole in the front yard of the home which they assured us would be put back so it didn't look like any one had dug there. I'm not sure how they did it but it looks pristine out there and if I hadn't seen the hole there myself during the project, I wouldn't believe any one had been digging at all! I had to get a lot of things done at my house from changing out faucets and angle stop valves to trying to figure out where a funky sewer/poopy smell was coming from. Joey T came out to inspect and give me an estimate. He was courteous, friendly, and super knowledgeable. He went hunting around trying to figure out where the bad smell was coming from and even went into the attic to check the vents. He was able to pinpoint the smell to the area by the toilet (which was the area I also thought the smell was the strongest) and suggested changing out the wax ring on the toilet as a first step to stopping the smell. I also want to mention here that Joey T really worked with me on the pricing so that I could afford to get all the work done (and if you are an educator, ask for their educator's discount). My 2nd floor toilet was leaking at the flange area. After I cut the ceiling where the leak was I was able to confirm it was a wax ring failure. Plumber XP quoted me $250 to repair and replace the wax ring under the toilet. But after assessing my scenario more closely they determined my drain was positioned too low and needed to be raised for a proper fit to my toilet. My previous contractor had stacked two wax rings on top of each other to compensate for the recessed flange below the floor tile level which ultimately led to the leak. Instead of patching the situation, I elected to fix the underlying root cause and was quoted $875 to replace the ABS drain pipe under the toilet and have a new flange installed. Belman and his coworker did a clean and professional job of making the repairs and the leak has been fixed. Belman did a great job explaining all the details I needed to make an informed decision. I felt confident the entire time with the quality of his workmanship. I especially appreciated all the detailed stepwise photos taken before and after the job. It gave me a lot of confidence in the work that was done and the attention to detail including things like using metal instead of brittle cheap plastic washers on the flange bolts. Job well done! Since my initial review on 7/15/24, I've had the (unfortunate but necessary) opportunity to call on Plumber XP twice, both times for substantial jobs. The second time, my AC condenser unit's drain pipe clogged, causing water to back up into the attic and leak through a recessed light. This was a major headache that required calling my homeowner's insurance and ServPro in the middle of the night to prevent further damage. Michael arrived promptly, diagnosed the problem, and determined that a clean-out needed to be installed on the center vertical line of the pipes, which required cutting into the drywall. He was efficient and helpful, completing the task in just a few hours. Thanks to his work, we now have access to the pipe, so future clogs will be easier to handle. Recently, I learned that a valve switch behind the refrigerator had broken, preventing the delivery of a new fridge. Eddie was able to come by earlier than the scheduled appointment, which was a huge relief. He quickly diagnosed the issue and will be replacing the entire ice maker valve behind the fridge. Back in December I called the office to get an estimate on re-piping the sewer pipes since the pipes were already corroded. I was no longer able to use my kitchen sink. I had two other estimates and plumber XP were not only more reasonable but Eddie explained throughly the whole processed, and ensure to minimized the breaking of concrete since my home is on slab. The only breaking that took place inside the home was in my small restroom since that piping was also replaced along with some sry wall, but nothing more.
