Ethan King came and inspected our water heater to discover why we had no hot water. He took photos and showed me at the water heater where the problems were. He fully explained it all and then explained what he could and could not do. I chose to have him replace the system which he was able to do immediately. He was very knowledgeable and skilled, polite and professional and still friendly. He did an excellent job, making sure all was working well with no leaks before leaving. My husband and I have owned our home for 10 years. We've had an old water softener in our garage for that same length of time that we believed to no longer be in use/working after the home inspection when we bought it. Little did we know that ten years later, that water softener would start to leak and there was no way to bypass it to the main water line of the house. Long story short, it was cheaper to buy a whole new water softening system than to remove it completely. Casey was extremely empathetic to our shock of having to commit without really wanting to. Shame on Plumbing Masters. We were clients of Plumbing Masters for several years and had them complete a variety of jobs, which we were always happy with. We later discovered a problem in our master bathroom and after Plumbing Masters began the work, they brought in a third-party company (Quick Restore), to do asbestos testing and abatement. They brought this company on site without explaining things to us or asking us if we were comfortable using them. They made it seem like this is the way things are done and that this was urgent; at that point (when we still trusted Plumbing Masters), we signed off on Quick Restore doing testing and abatement. Lesson learned. Quick Restore burned through about $4k of my insurance money and did very little. They charged us per day for a big fan (part of the abatement process). The tarp they hung up was cheap and poorly taped and fell onto the floor. Then they no-showed twice when it came to finishing the job. We brought in another company (a reputable one!) that finished the job. At which point we had to pay for abatement yet again. I'd like to note that this reputable company did not charge for their fan by the day, as that seems to be a total scam. Plumbing Masters cost us a lot of money and I'm sure they got a nice commission from their friends at Quick Restore. But they have lost a customer. On top of this, Plumbing Masters said the pipe under our house needed to be completely replaced as it had worn away at the bottom and was just dirt. They tried to have me sign for a huge loan on an iPad so they could immediately move forward with the work, which feels like a high-pressure tactic. Thankfully I got two other opinions, and another plumber verified that the pipe in fact was intact and while it could use a lining, it did not need to be replaced. He did explain how this could be an honest mistake by Pluming Masters, so I'm not claiming that they intentionally misled me. But they could have taken the extra step this plumber did (simply flushing the toilet to move water through the pipe) to verify if the pipe was in fact intact. Had I moved forward with Plumbing Masters, they would have dug up a hole in my floor only to then discover that the pipe was intact. After several years of good service, I'm really disappointed with Plumbing Masters. The next time a company I've hired brings in another company without checking with me first, they'll be sent packing. read more

Hopefully the repiping work was adequately done. Supervisor, Daniel Lopez, put more than $400 more on my credit card than I had approved, both to him and on the text confirmation text that I received from my credit card company for approval of the charge after two failed attempts, which I still have. Also, Daniel says that he'll take care of things but he doesn't follow through, such as the submission of requested documentation to the insurance company in support of a submiitted claim, and also the emailing of the documentation to me. If dishonest dirty pig Daniel Lopez is a product of the culture that exists at Plumbing Masters, then my advice is to take your business elsewhere. Rule 36: If you feel like you're being played, then you probably are. I always did in my dealings with Daniel, and indeed I was. Written weeks later than the above paragraphs: My hope that the work had been done well took a hit when I realized that a leak was left due to to a hose being left loose at the valve. My first attempt to get this resolved amounted in a different leak being found and addressed, but the loose hose at the valve was missed. Another visit from people at that company, with whom I want nothing more to do, was necessary. Plumbing Masters is a criminal operation in collusion with an awful and dishonest restoration company, Quick Restore. Stay away from both firms. read more

Terrible company. Five years ago they cleared my kitchen drain and added a clean out on my home. A couple of years later, instead of water backing up into the sink which would require a rotor router, water came through the wall under the sink. They claimed that a rotor router was all that was required. Then it happened again three weeks ago. Called them back. Tech would not open the wall to determine why. Claimed he needed a supervisor to come out....then crickets. Called my general small business plumber...he found issue in 5 minutes. Plumbing masters used wrong size connector 5 years ago leaving a half inch gap from the drain to the air vent!! Thus, when running large load of laundry (same drain line) and dishes, water flowed out of the wall and into my cabinets! Dont waste your money on them. I feel kind of bamboozled by this company. Their website says "$25 main line drain cleaning" and "No hidden fees: No service call fees. No dispatch fees" (see attached picture) however when I called them to schedule an appointment there was suddenly a dispatch fee and they didn't know how much it was going to cost to get the job done. I spoke with Desiree yesterday to make an appoint. She was very pleasant and professional. Here's the disconnect - Aaron Barraza the technician showed up almost 30 mins late. Before performing any service he evasively started upselling some crazy expensive "hydro" cleaning service to clear my drain pipe. SKETCH. My plumbing issue even for a non-plumber is very simple. A clog after the Ptrap under the kitchen sink approximately 5-20 feet from the front of the house connecting to the main sewer line. Aaron used a thin non-effective snake in the line for 3 mins. He pulled a few (not a bunch) of roots out with the snake. Said that's all he could do and packed up. He did take 10 mins to wipe down the windows of his work van, smh. I ran water in the sink, ZERO improvement. Aaron, without unclogging my drain, collected $25 with no receipt then left. I called Desiree, got an AI phonebot named "Aimee" (freaky btw). I called back, spoke with Desiree who called the tech to return. He returned, was verbally confrontational when I told him Desiree said their policy was to clear the line and if they couldn't there was no charge. Aaron realized his dishonesty without contrition, dropped my money on the front porch and drove off. Obviously, the $25 service call is a classic bait and upsell switch. I want to start off by saying that if you're looking for a plumbing company that offers a clear and upfront price, Plumbing Master's is not it. Our shower handle broke off yesterday; we had expected another plumbing company to come do the job, but that did not go as planned. I was at work and my wife had just gotten home and was worried about our children showering tonight. Being the caring husband that I am, I wanted to ease my wife's worries away. I took it upon myself to google a local plumber and that's where I found Plumber Master's. Long story short my wife agreed to get the job done on her own self will and I do not disagree with her just wanting to fix the issue. The problem here is that when I got home at 5:30pm my wife told me what we were going to be charged. Come to find out the price was going to be close to $700 for just the cartridge to be replaced. After finding this out, I took it upon myself to speak with the plumber that had just arrived from picking up the replacement cartridge (originally arrived at 430p, returned approximately at 545pm with part). After a lot of back and forth with the plumber and me trying to get clarification on why we were being charged this amount, he tried to him justify to me that it includes fees on his experience, gas, mileage (to my location and to pick up parts), for dispatch, insurance and parts. After all this was said and done, I asked him based on his experience how long this job would have taken if he had the part with him and his response was $50 for the part and 10 mins to replace cartridge. I responded that the price wasn't reasonable to me, and I felt a job like this would cost about $300 to $400 based on the information he relayed. He continued trying to justify the reason why I was being charged so much and kept referring back to the cost of the company's expenses. I kept on reiterating to him that I was being worried about the job being done in my home and not the company's; and how it was affecting me and my pocket. I repeated multiple times that we were going to pay the full amount he asked for because my wife agreed, but that I was going to write a review to let others know of this situation in hopes to help someone not make the same mistake. It seems to me this is not the first time this has happened based on his reaction and debating demeanor. In my opinion this was unprofessional debating with a customer and not addressing the customer's concerns. Having experience in customer service when I run into a situation that is out of my control, I reach out to my supervisor for advice on how to handle the situation. My concern here was the lack of clear information regarding the work that was going to be done. I would've liked a break down from cost of parts to labor and other charges to be able to assess and have made a better decision. If my wife would've known ahead of time that she was going to get charged for a $50 part (that took him an hour to get) in a 10-minute job, she possibly would have looked for another company to have serviced our needs. There's a lot of information being left out, but the meat and potatoes of it all is that I feel you're going to get overcharged. So please ask for specific details on exactly what you're getting charged for. I will not be using Plumber Master's services again. read more
