We asked Plumbline to quote us a Heat pump system, that was eligible for the Xcel Heatpump rebate. The sales guy showed up. I have been a plumbline customer for 6 years and a VIP member for most of those. In that time we have had a lot of small work done as well as some very large projects. Recently, I had a customer service issue and emailed the company. ========== On May 4, 2022, 3:23 PM Good Afternoon, A few months ago Plumbline installed a Moen smart valve for our main water line. That unit was damaged, so another was ordered and shipped to our house. We need to make an appointment to have that unit swapped out. Also, we had two hot water heaters installed back in October. We recently had them inspected by [The Town] and they failed inspection. Remediation work needs to be completed. Lastly, we have a drip somewhere in the house (the Moen valve has alerted us to this. We need to have this looked at. We have tried turning off all sinks and toilets and re-ran the test. There continues to be a leak. Really lastly, I've been getting automated phone calls that a VIP service needs to be scheduled. I'd like to get that done as well. Hopefully we can get all of these done in one visit. This is an email that I sent out a bit over a month-and-a-half ago that detailed the issues I had been having with Plumbline. They were promptly addressed and I appreciate that. However, we, again, have other issues it seems. Following this email, a team was sent out to address these issues. They replaced the main water valve as requested but did not have a copy of the failed inspection report for the water heaters (neither did I). When they called back to the office to ask about the report, the office didn't have the report either, so they were unable to address those issues. When they returned to address some unknown leaks reported by the Moen system, they also fixed one of the two issues that were part of the failed inspection. They again didn't have the report on hand but the office reportedly did have a copy and said there was only a single issue reported in the failure (I remember two, but couldn't remember both of them). Since they didn't have a copy of the report to share, I couldn't verify (nor could they) that the work was completed satisfactorily. The team was diligent in looking for where the leak was and they think they nailed it down to a leak inside of one of the master showers. They were going to send a proposal for rebuilding the shower which I never received. I was also automatically called to have a complimentary H/VAC check-up / tune-up for my house as a VIP member. I had to call a different department to get that scheduled. This was back in April I believe and the schedule was pretty full, but I was able to get a visit scheduled for June 3rd. I received a confirmation that said: Your appointment with Plumbline Services has been scheduled for Friday June 3 2022. As a reminder we will contact you by phone 30-45 minutes prior to dispatching a technician. To make any changes, please call (303) 766-7500. Thank you from the Plumbline Team!. They never showed nor called. I have no idea what is going on with Plumbline lately. For so long things were absolutely wonderful. For the last year it has been absolutely abysmal. I am not sure where we go from here. Let's start with getting the current issues resolved and then I will consider my options going forward. ========== Nothing really came of that. I emailed again: ========== Following this email, the original tech called to follow up. He called to address his section of the complaint below. Regarding the rest, he said that someone else from the management team would call to follow up on that (makes sense that he wasn't responsible for that). After his call, I was supposed to get an estimate for the plumbing work that needed to be done with the understanding that a lot of house work (removal of tile and/or walls) would have to occur and that his estimate could not and would not include that. Totally understandable. I never got that estimate. Also, no one from a management team ever called to follow up on this original complaint. This is the 3rd email that will have gone out with almost none of my initial complaints addressed. No tech ever came out to service our A/C units before the summer. No explanation for ghosted appointments. Nothing. I'm not sure who this needs to get flowed up to before it gets any kind of traction, but I'm hoping that it isn't me that has to be the one to do it. ========== Once again, I heard nothing. We called them for a service and clean on our AC and heater. Friendly scheduling staff, but was very vague on a ballpark estimate on service. They just said we would need to pay for a service call and then they would give us a quote onsite. RED FLAG. technician did call prior to arriving, then proceeded to quote us $1100 for a service and clean!!! What in the world? Nothing broken - and just a 4 yr old system. They also charged us $100 fee just to access our furnace upstairs, had to use our ladder because he didn't have one. We had the tech do the service in portion, but found a company to clean our HVAC units for $500 less. Save your money. Wouldn't recommend them ever. read more

We had a slow drain in our master shower with significant calcified buildup along the upper PVC creating a very narrow constriction. The first technician Plumbline sent out couldn't address the problem. They promptly sent another technician with different equipment and the problem was solved in less than 30min. Our second technician was Howard L who was a consummate professional and went the extra mile to completely resolve our problem. Our 17year old pipes in our shower look brand new. We recently switched from the HVAC/plumbing company that subcontracted our custom home to Plumbline for our HVAC/plumbing service and have found them to be one of the few companies that is trustworthy in the Denver metro area. They aren't always the cheapest but you definitely get what you pay for in this area. I cannot recommend the plumbing dept enough base on Howard's performance. read more

I hired Plumbline to install a new furnace and air conditioning in the town home I had just purchased. After being impressed with the initial sales pitch, everything went downhill fast. As the sales guy said: "everything that could go wrong, did go wrong" but even with many promises to "make it right" it continued to be a nightmare. This install happened in the early weeks of COVID. I was told I would have three workers in my home. Without notifying me, there were a total of SEVEN. The need for more people was not clearly communicated to me on the day of and left me feeling very out of control in the risk that I was taking with my home. I didn't see any of the workers wearing gloves, and at times their masks were pulled down . . . I know how difficult it must be to be working right now and have to deal with masks and gloves, and I have compassion for them - but this is my home and my safety and I went with Plumbline because I was reassured every safety measure would be taken. I was told it would be done by 3pm at the latest. They were there past 6pm. I also wasn't aware of the process with the inspector - they mentioned it in passing, but I didn't realize it would be a whole extra day and yet another person in the house . . . and up to me to arrange. I went in the laundry room where the majority of the work was done, the floors were really dirty and there was even a footprint on the wall - they had assured me they would leave it "cleaner then they found it" It definitely was not. After all that, my AC didn't even work. They had to send yet another worker into my home, turns out it had twice as much refrigerant as is needed and could not run. Once everything was functioning, I had ongoing issues with air flow. In the original estimate, they included creating a new air return, but then I was repeatedly talked out of the "major construction" it would require. I was promised other options, none of which worked out, and then I was just flat out ignored - 10 full days with no response. I finally called and was able to talk to the installation manager, who was understanding, but unable to do much. After 8 weeks of back and forth and multiple visits to my home, I was told "it is what it it" and that my home is not well suited for AC. Of course, they didn't tell me that when they wanted to sell me the unit. I was given a $100 "frustration-free" guarantee - a total joke of a refund after spending $11,000+ and many hours trying to hunt them down and get straight answers. Much of the advice I was given by one person was contradicted by the next (i.e. close all the main floor vents to make the air go upstairs but then was told by someone else that was the absolute wrong thing to do). The final worker who came to my home (they scheduled him at noon, but I got a call at 8am that he was on his way and I had to reschedule my day). He actually seemed to know what he was talking about and at least gave me a straight answer that they had done everything they could do, no empty promises. On our final call, I asked the installation manager about my Xcel refund. He said he would have the "girl" who handles it call me. Come to find out - the refund had not even been put in yet. It would be another 4 weeks at least before I would get that money. The entire process I was talked down to, gaslit and treated like I was just a silly woman who didn't know what she was talking about. The communication, customer service and end product was extremely frustrating and disappointing. I went with Plumbline in part to take advantage of the three year VIP program that came with my purchase. If this is how they treat VIPs, then I am done. read more

Second time we used this company for plumbing issues. First time was a basic snake job and we gladly paid the $98 to rectify the problem. Second time was an issue with some leaky hose under the sink. This being an older home we decided to replace both hoses. The technician was polite, friendly and seemed knowledgeable so no issues with him. The issue is the cost was a little outrageous for 2 hoses and his labor. I probably could of done it myself if I wasn't old and handicapped, I mean it wasn't brain surgery and took about an hour. Plumbline Services installed a frostless outside hose bib for us on 4/7/23. It worked fine all summer but yesterday, 4/11/24 when I used it for the first time since last fall, water now pours out of the top and back of it up against our house. It gets worse when a hose is attached. We paid Plumbline $1,142 for the hose bib and it lasted a year and five days. Of course, as luck would have it, they only offer a 1-year parts and labor warranty. Won't be calling them to fix it since their work is extremely overpriced and clearly below par on parts and labor. read more

I genuinely don't like leaving bad reviews, but this one needs to happen. In the second week of January 2024 we had frigid temperatures. Below 0° for at least a few days in a row. I came home one of these days from a long days work and turned on my water and as I did so I heard my hot water heater blow. When the hot water heater blew it caused a gas leak in my home. I called a relative of mine, and I was referred to plumbline through my relative. Once I contacted Plumline, I was told that they could come out in about a week unless I wanted to join their VIP list which cost $100 a year or eight dollars and some change a month. And if I joined this list, they could come out in the morning, which, in my opinion, is shady business practice. Out of desperation, I agreed to join the VIP list. at that time they charged my card $8.24. In the meantime, my relative freaked out because I had a gas leak and sent her brother over who graciously replaced my hot water heater in a matter of an hour or two. I called plumbline back to tell them that I didn't need their service in the morning and I would appreciate if they didn't charge me anymore considering I didn't get any service from them. I was told that my subscription was canceled and so was my appointment. But the next month they charged me $8.24 again. So I called them again.This time I was told that when the manager was in the office, she would cancel all of the charges and I would be refunded for what I had already paid. That never happened. I had a bad feeling that they were going to continue to charge my card until I paid up my hundred dollars for service that I've never received, so I put a block on my debit card. And low and behold they tried to charge my card again, but it got declined because I had it blocked. The next day they sent me a text message asking me to contact them. I'm assuming they wanted their $8.24. So I did call them and I explained to Jasmine everything that I just explained to you in this review and she was kind enough to hang up on me. I'm assuming I'm gonna have to keep my debit card blocked for the next year to get through this without paying for services I've never had. It's really sad because I felt like they didn't really care unless I paid extra. Funny that they couldn't come out for a week until I ponied up some dough then they could be there in the morning. What a nice way to treat "VIPs". I noticed that they say they're on the Better Business Bureau and that customer service is important to them, but I'd beg to differ. The issue: Plumbline installed a Honeywell whole house humidifier in my home in Dec 2018 and the humidifier no longer works. Called for service, which was scheduled about 2 weeks out. The good: The technician called prior to arriving, was within the service window, was polite and friendly, wore shoe booties, and a mask. The bad: The technician almost immediately diagnosed a bad solenoid on the humidifier. As an electrician, this makes me happy because I know how easy they are to change and that they are generally inexpensive. However, the technician quotes me a repair cost in excess of $500. A quick Google search confirms the part can be purchased from anywhere between $18 and $25 and the remove and replace can be done in literally 5 minutes. The technician explained they have overhead costs, etc. and gives me a painting hack (I was in the process of painting my house). Bottom line: Plumbline was going to charge me $500 for a $20 part and a few minutes of work, to repair a nice to have, but non-essential, component of my HVAC system. They're obviously too busy, and willing to massively overcharge unsuspecting customers for non-emergency work, just in case somebody has the financial resources and lack of knowledge about the simplicity of the repair. Put me in the former customer column. read more

Paid almost $400 for someone to run snake and camera. We were told we needed new lines at a cost of almost $16,000. We called another company for a second opinion who didn't charge anything for the diagnostics and were $9,000 less. We also kept receiving a bill even though we had paid in full and had to call the company three times to try and resolve this issue. They never contacted us about the actual work and bid again so it seems like they are making money off of diagnosing what they think is issue. Went with company from TV ads, but should have looked at Yelp reviews before calling Plumbline out. Would not recommend. read more

Plumbline has always been more expensive than other providers but has generally been extremely professional and very communicative. However, our air conditioning unit that Plumbline installed two years ago stopped working last night and when we got home from an evening out it was 85 degrees in the house. I called the evening line and they said that they would be able to come out between 1 and 5 Saturday. Excellent, the usual great service. No email or text confirmation as they normally send though. Calling this morning to confirm I was told that they see the note and yes, we were promised service, but they did not assign the work to anyone and therefore would not be able to be out until Tuesday. Very disappointed with backtracking on their promise, even for members of their VIP program for a unit they installed. I would recommend against using them if their word cannot be trusted and they will hang you out to to roast in your home. read more

I called plumbline because of their $93 or free commercial, because the sewer line backed up in my mom's house. The only reason I am giving Plumbline a 1 star is because unfortunately I have to at least do that in order to leave a review for this garbage of a company. These people came out to my grandmother's house and did a scope on her mainline, the technician in a poor attempt to cover their ass, tried to show an 89 year old woman a "scope" video from his cell phone. They tell my grandmother her pipe is broken and "it looks pretty bad" and said they may have to excavate to the street. They terrified my elderly grandma and told her that she shouldn't use the toilet, sinks, dishwasher etc because the damage was catastrophic. And without delay of course Plumbline was there with an estimate well into the thousands of dollars for someone on a fixed income to fret over. This was Friday 6/30/23. I called the next day asking for a copy of the scope video and the report of what they found in order to find potential bids for the job because all we have at this point is an over the top bill. I was told that the request for the video and report has to be approved by a supervisor. Why?? The report and video never came. I called that Monday 7/3 and was told they were behind on uploading the information to their system. Once again just more lies from this POS company. We waited and again I called on Wednesday and was then told that they would send the report and video by 5pm. Nothing. By that Friday I had had it and thought maybe one more effort would be worth it, again with more LIES that they had actually sent it and it was now somehow our fault. We got another BETTER company to come out and do a scope. Low and behold THERE'S NOTHING WRONG WITH THE PIPES!!!! Just some debris that can be flushed out. Absolutely nothing that would cost into the thousands, wonder why I never got the video from Plumbline because there probably wasn't one and if they did send one it probably wasn't even the same house. We got the full report AND the scope video from the other guy the same business day too. SHAME ON YOU PLUMBLINE!!!!!! We've spent a lot of dollars with Plumbline. But we didn't want to mess around with an upgrade in our nearly 130-year-old house by going with anyone but a licensed master electrician. Finding one was harder than I thought, so I was happy to pay Plumbline. My husband, who had some specific requests for the work, was incredibly pleased with the results. Justin removed some aluminum wiring, updated our box, installed a GCFI outlet in the kitchen where it was missing, and installed some additional outlets. He was clear about some work that we might have done less expensively since it didn't require a master electrician. We passed on some of it, and will have it done another time. But in other instances we felt it was okay to just have him do the whole project rather than deal with a separate vendor and appointment (who may not complete it the same way) to save a few dollars. We have a warranty on the work and discounts on future services, so I'm sure we'll call on them again. But most importantly, I feel comfortable that our electrical setup is safe. read more

I call these guys a couple days ago and was able to get right on there schedule. The customer service was great and they are currently offering a $93 or free drain clean. They told me about the offer which was great. The technician was very nice and showed up on time and overall did a great job. My only problem was there special is "$93 or free", the tech had to pull my toilet and said well this is an additional $75. I started off nicely telling him that it's $93 or free he refused so I had to get his manager and that managers manager involved. I explained nobody on the phone when I set the appointment indicated to me that IF there is additional work or the drain wasn't easily accessible that there would be additional costs. They ended up waiving the $75 charge but I explained to them that it would have been fine if I was told that upfront. Not when the tech gets here etc. I asked the manager to explain to there appointment setters and provide further training about setting customer's expectations. I hope they do that in the future because other than this one issue they were great from the first call to the final goodbye I'm giving them 5 stars because they made things right and the customer service and the technician Robert was great. The electrician also took several photos of my property that were unrelated with the issue without my permission this is illegal. They initially replaced this outlet in January of this year for $214.00 why wasn't it under warranty????? It was the only outlet without power in my home so the electrician knew actually where the problem was. This repair should have been covered under the warranty but instead they charged me an additional $270.00 to repair their problem, TOTALING $484.00 LUDICROUS!!!! read more

I stayed home most of one day (a Saturday) waiting for a tech to show up to clean out the main drain from my house. By the time he could come, it was 6.30pm and too late for me so the tech promised I would get a call back with a new time. I didn't get that call, so I called the number for appointments to reschedule. The tech was friendly and professional but quickly ran into a problem when he said the cable was stuck and he couldn't pull it back through. His supervisor arrived and after a couple of attempts to pull the cable told me that I most likely had a cracked pipe and I would need to have my lawn dug up and the crack repaired. His initial quote was $8,000 which he lowered to $6,000 when I balked at his quote. When they knew I was calling my trusted sewer guy, the supervisor had another try at retrieving the cable and this time was successful. It took a lot of strength and when I showed concern for his back he told me he could not afford to miss a week of work as he supports his entire family and makes $240,000 a month! Finally, after scaring me with predictions of needing a major repair if I had them come back with a hydro-jetter they left. I then called another company that was recommended by my neighbor who came the next day. I explained my situation and, with no difficulty whatsoever, this tech pulled out a large root ball. I didn't think to take a photograph but let this be a fair warning that Plumbline will happily upsell you rather than work a little harder to unclog a mainline. Save yourself a very frustrating, even frightening, experience. read more
