5 stars for late night immediate response. I emailed them at 11pm the night of the problem and they followed up IMMEDIATELY to say they'd send someone out by 11am the next morning. 5 stars for Mario the excellent gentleman who came in and quickly assessed the situation of the shower cartridge leak and gave a repair solution which was smart and reasonably priced. He DID NOT try to upsell me on anything at all. I instead asked him about what it would take to do a full removal of current outdated hardware and do a more in depth repair. He gave me the estimate on that as well and it we agreed to it. He said they'd come as soon as possible to do that repair hopefully by the next day but if not, 2 days later. It was not a crucial repair so that was OK but there was water dripping to the rate of at least a bucket or more per day so I asked if possible please expedite. They did expedite and came back the next day. 5 stars for Angel who came the next day and did a smash up job. probably took around 5 hours that day. Angel was a gentleman and scholar. He let us peek in at his work all day long with grace and answers for everything we asked and plenty of pictures of work to boot. Angel identified some old piping that was never removed when a previous business installed copper piping. the old piping metal pipe (like galvanized steel) directly touches a new copper pipe in the presence of moisture, galvanic corrosion (electrolysis) occurs. This chemical reaction will corrode the less noble metal (the old iron/steel) and cause the new copper pipe to form pinhole leaks within a few years. He suggested we set up a complimentary review of how much of the old galvanized was left by a crawl under the house. This was performed today and they found the old galvanized leftovers in addition to some leaking galvanized under the tub. On Monday morning we woke to the sound of water running under our house. We called Plumbtree and they had someone out within 2 hours. After the problem was identified and we accepted the estimate, we were told two people were needed and could come out next day. This was fine and we agreed. Not long after the first repair person left, someone from Plumbtree called to say they were able to get two workers out that afternoon. Ricky and Ron came shortly after 1 p.m. and did the repair. It was a water hose under the house connecting the main water to a line for the refrigerator. They were friendly and competent and explained everything clearly. By 5 p.m. we had running water again. So I unfortunately had to update my review. I had called Plumbtree because I had a good experience with them on the phone prior and wanted them to come help with a water heater problem we were having. They were able to come out within about a day and help. We have two water heaters and the tech had to turn off our solar water heater because the tech needed to speak with owner due to the parts being old and not knowing how to fix it. I said no problem because we had a working water heater. They haven't been back since and this was at the end of March. So almost three months. I called several several times and every time I got the same response each time. "Oh they haven't called you? The tech isn't here or the tech is on the other line and will call you today. They are still trying to figure out how to fix it." I gave two stars because they did come out quickly and seemed like they could help but the follow up is terrible and we have been left to figure out what to do next. The person answering the calls was nice but the tech/owners do not respond and get back to you. And what if we didn't have a working water heater? Then what? I'm just very disappointed after a good experience and now this is the exact opposite. read more

Third time using Plumbtree, and they continue to impress. I called them on a Friday at lunch for a corroded hot water inlet nipple on my water heater that failed and received a same-day response, with estimator (Francisco) on site within two hours and full replacement completed within about six hours of my initial call. They use quality Bradford White units and honored my request to pull the newest-manufactured unit available (less than 30 days off the line). They also upgraded the drain valve to a full-port brass ball valve and left a spare anode rod for future maintenance. The tech, Matthew, was quick, personable, and thorough. He caught an improperly installed vent line from a previous company and repaired it at no charge as he did not in good conscience want to leave an active safety hazard in my home even though it not part of his scope, and Plumbtree management readily stood behind his decision. They are not the cheapest in town, but they are fast, professional, technically excellent, and ethical. Customer for life. read more

There is a real reason they have 100% 5 star reviews. Their quality of work, attention to detail and communication before, during and after their work is unmatched. I inherited my parent's house which was built in 1954 and the dryer FINALLY died! They seriously don't make them like they used to; but anyways, the gas line was definitely not up to code! Hahaha. I knew Best Buy, when they delivered the new dryer would not touch that gas line with a 69ft pole. Nahun Garcia came out, we had a laugh about this ancient build and he said "no problem". Originally we were just gunna add a valve shut off to satisfy Best Buy, but he ran a whole new gas line from the source and ripped out all the WW2 era piping. The work he did was pure art. Really added value to the house...and now probably won't blow up and be on the news about a gas leak. I'm going to these guys for everything from now on. Quality is second to none. I used them a few years ago and thought they were great but I think they're now understaffed and the technicians are not that skilled anymore. Had 2 toilets that needed to be looked at. Had an initial appt that they rescheduled b/c they had too many appts. Next day the guy came and barely looked at one toilet and just told me to replace it for $900 and then looked at the 2nd one and said he can't do anything and I'd need to schedule another appt. Scheduled another one (why, don't ask) and then I got a text they were running late again. I finally canceled and found another plumber who said he'd come right away and gave me an estimate that was 1/2 the cost of Plumbtree's. read more

Schedule at your on risk, I scheduled a plumber via their website for 11am the next day. On the next day I got a call in the AM stating that they only had an opening at 5pm. Why take my online appt for 11 and call to say they don't have an 11am. I mean even restaurant knows how to do this. I said okay. Then at 2pm the day of their arrival they called to state that the had o cancel due to an emergency and there were no other plumbers. and they could reschedule for 2 days later. Over the last several years, I have had someone from Plumbtree out to the house. I have been happy with them each time. This time it was because my kitchen sink hose had sprung a leak from some sort of tear. After spending several hours over the course of several days to, remove and replace myself I gave in and brought in the professionals. Anthony came out and we discussed whether it made sense to replace the torn hose or replace the entire faucet. I had already bought a faucet I liked at Costco. In the end, I decided the old faucet had served well for at least some 16 years. Let's replace with something new from the YouTube videos also seemed more likely to be simpler to deal with in the future. Anthony said to work and completed it in less than two hours. Hurrah! We had an issue with our dishwasher not draining. I called Plumbtree at around noon on a Saturday and they were over at our place 4 hours later. I appreciate the clear and concise communication over text and email. They even include pictures of the arriving technician so you know who to expect at your door. The brine tank for my water softener had stopped working. Bruce took it apart, cleaned the parts, and ran a new plastic water line and coupler between the tank and the water softener. He used a clear line instead of a black one so we can see the water moving. I also had him change out a corroded valve that was going to a fridge in the garage, and clean some corrosion on that pipe. Lastly, he was happy to dispose of two buckets of salt that had become dirty. We set up the brine tank again with fresh salt and started a recharge cycle on the water softener. It started filling with water as expected, and I will know within a couple hours if it's working properly, but there shouldn't be any problems. Pricing was rather more than I had expected, but I accepted the bid and am happy with the workmanship. Bruce is an all around pleasant guy to work with. read more
