Once again, Yelp came to rescue. I had a slow drain on the kitchen, which connects to the garage sink also. I tried to fix it myself with the snake, which fixed similar problem in the past. Only this time, it wouldn't budge even after I tried for an hour. Quickly looked up Yelp and contacted a few top rated rooter services in the area. Our 1970s home has been having toilet issues for years with "I clogged the toilet again!" from many random family members. We were so done with it. Between the recent 4.0+ earthquakes & tree roots, we sprung a leak in our pipe that brings water into our home. I did a quick Yelp search and the closes one was Drain Rooter. I called at 6:30PM and Tai answered. After explaining what was wrong, he was able to come over the next morning to assess the situation. Apparently most of the homes in my neighborhood have pvc pipes and since this is the second time I'm fixing this, they're horrible. Tai recommended running a new copper pipe and it's even guaranteed for five years. It was definitely more then I expected to pay however they way Tai explained it made perfect sense. My kid put pineapple peel into disposal and clogged the drain. Used Yelp to get quotes from a few plumbers. Todd responded promptly with a very competitive quote and immediately sent his staff over. Tu showed up within an hour and was very courteous. He brought blankets to protect the floor and even took off shoes before entering the house. Yes, I am a traditional Asian. :-) Tu is very knowledgeable and professional. Seeing that my drain doesn't have a clearout, he offered to install a connector at a very reasonable cost. Without it, he cannot run the snake since it can damage P-trap's built-in seal. I told him it's too late because I have run the snake through P-trap earlier, which failed to unclog the pipe. So Tu cut off the P-trap and visually examined the inner seal. Sure enough, it's damaged and leaked when put back on. Fortunately, he was able to repair it with PVC cement and magically stopped the leak, at no extra cost. BIG thanks to Tu! Running snake didn't take long since Tu is very experienced. But he spent a lot of time to carefully reconnect and tighten the pipes, check drainage and sign of leakage, repair P-trap, check again, load up water, check again, load up water and check again. My only complaint of the company is their perfectionism. Tu spent a lot of time and used a lot of water to make sure there is no leakage after the job is done, probably cost me 10 cents. Will send him the water bill! ;-) BTW, they also provide 30-day warranty, so I will definitely call them if my kids put pineapple peel into disposal again. Just kidding, Todd and Tu, I will pay for that since I know your work is perfect, and it must be my kids doing the stupid things again. :-) read more

Todd is my go to plumber needs for our house. I recently had a kitchen leak during Thanksgiving after noticing the leak at 2am. I tried my best to resolve it myself but had no luck. Emailed Todd and he responded the next day and we set up a time to meet. What appeared to be a simple fix turned into something more tedious. Todd was able to fix my issue after determining that the material that helped water dispense from my sink was deteriorating. He replaced the piece and left. I was happy then found that I continued to have another leak under my sink due to my clumsiness. Todd stopped by righted everything and left without charging me his additional visit. I came back again to find that my sink was still leaking from my garbage disposal, I showed Todd my pictures. He came by the next day and put in a longer pipe since my prior one was too small which caused the leakage. Still no charge for his additional time and effort coming by.
