I started hearing water leaking in our laundry room. I started to panic, and then I remembered that I wrote a review for Enrique years ago. I just needed to find the review that I had written on Yelp regarding plumbers. It took me a while to find the review, but I was very happy to find it. I contacted his company on a Sunday evening, and he was able to come to my home within 2 and a half hours. Unfortunately, he wasn't able to repair the leaking pipe that evening, but he was able to temporarily stop it from leaking. On the following day, he replaced and repaired the leaking pipes in the laundry room. Since he was already at the house, I asked him to snake the drain in one of our bathtubs. He also replaced the shower fixture in the bathroom. I honestly do not know what the other plumbing companies would have charged, because Enrique is the only person I contacted. At first, yes he's nice and responsible in fixing my plumbing problem. but... not punctual at all. second of all...he's giving me a year warranty, just in case anything happened. Yes people...by not doing a good job, the leaking get worse and leak all the way from second floor thru my garage ceiling. Then.. not honoring his own "warranty" , not picking up phone, not coming back to fix the problem. I ended up getting another plumber after spending money with him for about 1k. I had a situation where I came home from work at midnight and my son had tripped over a sprinkler valve and broke it off. The water was gushing out and had completely flooded the backyard. After calling so called 24/7 emergency plumbers the first 7 did not answer the phone. This was the only company that answered. A tech named Enrique called me back with a quote. After realizing i could not afford the quote he suggested I call the city water company and contact the emergency line they have. Master Technician Enrigue Quintero Jr. was on call Sunday morning. Man, how luck did I get that he was. Called the main line at 8 am after what I thought was being flushed down the toilet decided to come out of the shower instead. I spoke to dispatch who said someone would contact me with in the hour. Enrique called me back less than 10 minutes later, we chatted and he answered about 20 of my questions before I finally agreed to have him come out. Arrived on time and went straight to work. It was 95+ out but that didn't stop him. He broke a couple blades, but that didn't stop him. He got stuck, but that didn't stop him. I have an older home in Walnut and there has always been an issue with my old copper pipes leaking in the walls and in the slab. The owner of Plumbwise, Enrique, spent a few days trying to find and fix the leak and did not try to sell me a repipe like other larger companies would. After consulting with my homeowner's insurance adjuster, I asked him to repipe and to help me with remodeling my bathroom. Him and his crew were clean and very precise in cutting through stucco, wood, and drywall to install new copper pipes and their patch work was superb. Update: Rick finally came back to finish the job after reading my negative reviews about him. A couple of weeks later, I received a check to pay for the Verizon repair and an invoice for all of the work done which was originally agreed upon for $575.. Back in August, when he had put in the tub, and it came time to write out the check, he charged me $669. He said that he had purchased extra parts and would give me the receipts, he never has. I was alone at home and didn't feel comfortable questioning him about it, so I paid it even though I didn't feel it was right. I have already notified him and requested a check for the difference, I have emailed him, and given him ample time to send it and he has not done so. Now that I have the invoice to prove his dishonesty, and that he did indeed overcharge me, I am filing a complaint with Consumer Affairs. Again, please, do not hire this guy, you are asking for trouble if you do! read more
