We were moving out of the rental house and needed the move out cleaning and carpet cleaning actually promised. Following some previous move out experiences it was difficult to find a company. I found Plus 1 carpet care at the last minute just 3 days prior to the move--they were available to clean the property to return on time. The cleaning team run by Crystal completed the move out cleaning-top to bottom including windows and tracks--the hanging light fixtures appeared as if new. The a/c return grill in the ceiling was spotlessly vacuumed. The carpets were then cleaned by Sergio, who also cleaned the tile work in the bathrooms. Very unreliable. Same day cancellation with zero notification. I have been in contact with Sergio since 7/20 for my move in/out cleaning on 8/14. He was supposed to come at 8 am and it was 9 am when I called him to see what his status is. He apologized and said he should have called but he had a family emergency. It definitely put me in a bind since I have stagers coming and putting my house on the market next week. He called a few days prior to confirm but told me he was double booked but he'll make it work coming to our place first. I should have known then because the exchanges have been very disorganized but I just went with it because he had decent reviews. Christina did a fabulous job on the bathroom which was in dire need but didn't complete the tasks through the rest of the house. Still dust everywhere including on the blinds, when she wiped down the counters she didn't pick up any of the appliances to clean underneath and when she swept and mopped the floors, she didn't pick up anything off the floor to sweep or mop underneath. I hired Plus 1 Carpet care to do a move-in/deep clean/sanitization of my new home. The price paid (almost $1,900) was quite hefty, but my husband and I agreed that it would be worth it, to move into an exceptionally clean home and to not have to do any cleaning work to start (the previous owners had three dogs, and we live in the hi-desert so there's a lot of sand and dust). I had imagined a "crime scene" cleaning (you know, nothing left behind) instead of "Aunt Fanny's dusting service", and was very excited. Everything that *was* actually cleaned by Sergio and his crew, looks to be cleaned well. However, we moved in last week and as we've been settling in, I've been finding many things that weren't cleaned. Oven knobs and stove burners are still caked with grease and grime, the stovetop itself is still greasy, the inside of the microwave door handle is still caked with grease, the tray under the fridge water dispenser still has white calcium/limscale stains, the top of the fridge, top of the microwave and underside of the microwave are so disgusting that it could make even the strongest of stomachs uneasy, the insides of cabinets still have dirt, crumbs, etc., there are calcium/limescale stains around the bathroom sink faucet bases that still remain, the frosted glass shower doors in the master bathroom are still covered in scum... Needless to say, it's going to take a lot of work for my husband and I to clean what was missed, and our time is money.
