The food was excellent and the owner is very friendly and accommodating. The kbobs were excellent with a lot of meat.

I laughed though because the bar was playing The Muppet Show on the TV. lol The dinner menu is expensive so I went for brunch. (I believe their brunch is from 10am-2pm on Saturday and Sunday.) I ordered brisket hash (crispy potatoes, cheddar cheese, braised brisket, chimichurri, eggs, toast) and it was outstanding, although expensive at $24. My server was wonderful - just a delightful soul. The customers at the table next to me ordered chicken and waffles and their food looked amazing.

The main floor dining like a lunch vibe, but it turned out to be a cozy choice. For appetizers, we started with the cornbread after our focaccia was unfortunately not the best. Seemed to be over-proofed. The cornbread was absolutely phenomenal and a must-have! A special shoutout to our waitress, Arya, who noticed our disappointment with the focaccia and generously brought us the cornbread on the house. That kind of service is truly memorable! I also had the beets and peaches salad, which was refreshing but a tad overdressed. Still, I couldn't resist finishing the entire dish. For my main course, I ordered the lasagna, and I can confidently say it was one of the best I've ever had. It wasn't overloaded with cheese and instead complemented by mushrooms and pesto, and surprisingly light on the stomach. My husband chose the filet and rated it an 8/10, saying he thoroughly enjoyed it. We were so full by the end that we skipped dessert. The decor of the restaurant is beautiful, and the staff was incredibly attentive throughout our meal. The only downside was the atmosphere; coming from Chicago, we expected a more bustling vibe on a Thursday night. It seems Indianapolis is a bit quieter during the week. Overall, we had a delightful dining experience, and hats off to Arya for her exceptional service!

The parking lot is a mess and the sidewalks are crumbling. Chris is a small hole in the wall place, not fancy or upscale, but the food is amazing and Chris' family is welcoming and genuine. The menu hangs above cases of fried chicken, fish and potato wedges. Gizzards are a popular menu item. Chris takes your order. My husband wants a 3-piece chicken meal with cole slaw. I select a Buffalo chicken wrap that comes with fries. Ricardo, Chris' son, comes out and asks how spicy hot I want my chicken and I ask for mild. Wow, what great service! They tell us to grab some drinks and have a seat. The dining area is small with three or four tables that seat two. Most people come in for carry out. Chris laughs and jokes with a customer in Spanish as he cooks. I sip mango nectar. My husband's 3-piece meal has four pieces of fried chicken with a cup of cole slaw. The chicken is hot, crispy and moist, not too salty, perfect. The fried batter is thick and flavorful. This is great fried chicken. The slaw is finely chopped and creamy. My wrap with fries comes out on a beautiful white platter. The wrap is huge, and the chicken fresh, hot and moist with lots of crispy lettuce. The fries are batter fried and fresh. The portions are generous. My meal was delicious. Ricardo and his sister checked on us a couple times, thanked us for coming and told us their story. I felt like family. The food is easy 5 stars, as is the service. I'll be back. I want to try the fish next.

This pop-up happens in Studio C, a creative culinary wonderland that consists of private chef dinners, single daily meal specials, morning coffee and this sweet pop-up. When Amanda took to creating these artisan donuts, the city immediately flocked. Follow her on Instagram (@indydough) to see the different baked goods she cooks up each week. She usually makes donuts: think everything from cherry vanilla crullers to guava cream cheese old fashioned and black sesame glazed donuts. They're truly cooler than any donuts you've ever tried. I saw a post about white cheddar, green onion scones and immediately hopped on it. I messaged Amanda the night before the pop-up and she set one aside, as they usually sell out. This is the kind of place that you will have to arrive incredibly early to even have a chance at scoring a donut. There's a limited amount and they sell out in person within 30 minutes. They'll be a line outside before the place even opens. Go to bed early, get up early, and be ready to wait for the experience! Thank you Amanda! I gobbled up the scone so quickly and it was so, so, so GOOD.

It had a variety of colors of tomatoes. It was perfectly creamy from the cheesiness and salty from the buttery pastry. Can't wait to try more of their stuff and hope to see them do more pop ups downtown!

Being fairly new to the Fishers area, I did a quick review scroll (as a yelper does lol) and went in with high hopes... and let me tell you, they did NOT disappoint! First off, the menu? Solid. So many options it almost stressed me out, in the best way! I finally landed on the Aloha Special Plate with Hawaiian BBQ Chicken + Chicken Katsu, upgraded my rice to fried rice, and it also came with the mac salad and veggies. Now when I opened that container... BABY. The portions?! Generous is an understatement. They did not come to play! The BBQ chicken was sweet, savory, and full of flavor. The chicken katsu? Crispy, golden perfection. Like... exactly what you want it to be. The macaroni salad was also hitting... creamy, flavorful, no complaints there. Only thing that fell a little flat for me was the rice, it just needed a bit more flavor. But honestly, everything else made up for it. I can't speak on the service or vibe since we did takeout, but based on this meal alone? Yeah... I'll absolutely be back. I've already got my eye on a few more things on the menu!

1 star. I spoke with…read morethe owner and explained that I would not be bringing the food back that evening. It was late, I was home for the night, and I told him I would try to return within the next day or two. When I returned, the owner was not there. I was informed that I would only receive one-third of my money back. Since I had eaten only the rice and vegetables, I requested a 50% refund. Those items were listed on the menu at approximately $7, while my total bill was $18.52. Given that I had been asked to make a second trip back to the restaurant, my request seemed more than reasonable. The meats were still in the container... even the parts I attempted to chew but had to spit out. (Gross, I know!) The manager stated that he would need to call the owner for approval. After speaking with him, the owner instructed the manager to refund the full amount of my meal. The manager then pulled out the cash but proceeded to take several phone orders and serve another customer who was waiting for food--all while I stood there waiting for him to hand me my refund. He kept saying, "One moment." After patiently waiting, I finally asked, "Is there a problem?" He replied that there wasn't, but then began typing another message into his translator app. At that point, he informed me that while he would refund my money, I was no longer welcome to eat at the restaurant. I was absolutely appalled, but simply responded, "Okay." I have no interest in supporting a business that neither values its customers nor stands behind the quality of its product. Fortunately, there are plenty of other places to eat. He then added that because no one else had complained about the meat being tough, he did not believe that it was. I accepted my refund... all $18.52 of it... and left. I will never return, and based on this experience, I would encourage others to think carefully before patronizing this business.
