I wanted a competent local barber who communicated well. A comfortable environment would be icing for me. I went to a few different shops around the area and could not find a good match. Eventually, I came across TOC via Google Maps and scheduled the "first available" barber at my convenience. I got to the shop and Jeff was my barber. It's been about 4 years since then and I could not be happier. Jeff is an excellent barber, reliable, reasonable, and is easy to communicate with. If I don't like any part of a cut, I say something and it gets fixed. No sweat from Jeff and no sweat from me. It is our responsibility as the customer to get the product we want. TOC is a great barbershop and an important part of our marina community. Do yourself a favor and schedule a cut at TOC. You won't regret it. P.S. Ignore the hateful people who give 1 star reviews because they are petty individuals. Anytime you see a 1 star review longer than a few sentences, check that person's review history. I bet they constantly complain. I would even say it is more likely that they are unsatisfied in life and it has nothing to do with the business. Hateful people that only give 1 star reviews are not helping customers make better choices - they are just filling their own narcissism.

I've had long hair, typically worn in a ponytail, since Covid. i got used to it, convinced myself that it was easy to manage and looked good, well maybe just okay. Really I knew that it didn't suit me. I was just avoiding the change. But then my son was getting married and my hair made me feel not great about my appearance. I found Kirkland Man and made an appointment 2 days before the wedding. Terri was so kind and patient as I wrung my hands trying to decide what I wanted, which took 20+ minutes. Then she took over and did what she does so well. She found once she started cutting that my hair had natural curl and adjusted to work with that. Then she gave me a beard trim. She took so long with me that she was late for her next appointment. I got a ton of compliments from my wife, family, and friends. I felt wonderful that I looked good for my son's wedding and pictures and I spent most of that night dancing with my wife and kids. My new cut is so easy to take care of. I just towel dry it, mess it up a little and I'm good to go. I don't use any product. It just works and looks great. I truly love what Terri has done for me!

I wouldn't think to get someone else to cut my hair. As other reviews have said, she is amazingly good at a delivering a consistent haircut. I look like me, every day and after every haircut. This is a huge value to me as I've been unpleasantly surprised in the past, or just had things a little off, or I have to wave my hands and try to explain what I want over and over because they don't remember me from the time before. In the more than ten years Quinn has been cutting my hair, I've never been disappointed or felt self-conscious about a bad haircut. I am a triathlete and often shower twice a day when training, and I drive a convertible. Years ago I asked her to give me a style that I could just towel dry and style with my fingers, no driers or brushes or combs. I also wanted one that but wasn't all that different from what I already had. Combs and blow driers don't work for that. She gave me a great style that I still wear. And I don't have to explain anything, I just get it. Sometimes I ask for a little longer, sometimes a little shorter, mostly I just get a cut. The ambience of her business is great. It's a private enclosed area with a sliding door, so you don't feel like you're lined up in a room of guys getting their hair cut. There's just enough glass to not be claustrophobic. The building is well located, has sufficient free parking, and has a Scotty Brown's, a Lunchbox Laboratory, a Tokyo Steak House, and a French Bakery. After a haircut I often stop by one of those (OK, usually the bar at Scotty Brown's!) and have a beverage.
