What really made me post is this- is that I needed puppy food and I found out they deliver! I am very thankful for that convenience!! In the past we used to buy cat food here, but it's been more than a year since we had to put our sweet girl down. She was our faithful, furry family member for nearly 2 decades. We recently unexpectedly got a puppy. The first week I scheduled a dog washing station time slot, and when we came in they were very kind to us and our puppy. The staff really helped me select a quality puppy food by giving me a few different recommendations. Our dog loves coming here and enjoys her bath times there. They provide everything for the bath for a reasonable price.

We were extremely disappointed by how we were treated at Pet Pro's in Lakeland Hills. In the past,…read morewe've been criticized for needing to drop our pet off early; this time, when we were late picking up due to extenuating circumstances, an employee told us there were "notes in our file," that "we needed to have a talk," and reminded us they "weren't a doggie daycare"--all in front of other customers. What bothered me most was that no one even asked whether everything was okay or why we were late. For a $130 groom, I expect basic courtesy and professionalism, even if there is a legitimate concern about pickup times. I left feeling humiliated rather than valued as a customer. When we said we would find another groomer and mentioned that unfortunately the groomer would lose the tip, the employee responded, "That's okay. The groomer is totally fine with that." That interaction sealed our decision to take our business elsewhere.

While we have been coming here for many years the vendor demos are quite nice and allow a chance to try out different dog foods in trial size packaging. Dennys is known for their vast selection of dog, cat and other exotic pet foods. The staff is always friendly and very knowledgeable. The added bonus is they have dog wash here with two washing stations. This is one of my favorite go-to pet stores.

We've been customers of Denny's Pet World for decades (mostly for fish), but today's visit reminded…read moreme that I haven't given credit where it's due. Last year, our kids were given two gerbils who were around four years old, so when nature took its course (RIP Nibbles and Snugs), they were heartbroken. After holding a memorial service and cleaning out the cage, they looked up at me with hopeful eyes and a "Dad... do you think maybe...?" Yeah yeah, OK. There are lots of big box pet stores in the area, but I'm making the assumption that a smaller local shop likely treats their animals better and hopefully sources more ethically too. In any case, I'd rather shop local when I can and the prices are competitive. I called to see if they had any gerbils available and Aela let us know that they had some males in store. She said to ask for her when we came by. About an hour later, we dropped by and found Aela. She brought the gerbils out in their enclosure and was great not only with the animals, but my very excited children as well. She answered our questions and seemed to really enjoy her job, which makes it so much more fun for everyone involved. She took care of getting them in a box with some bedding and sent us off with smiles all around. I'm so thankful that Denny's is part of the neighborhood, and for great employees like Aela who make the experience fun.
