Hours are slightly different too. I stopped in one afternoon to pick up lunch for my parents and myself. We got our normal 1/2 lb of roast pork but sadly the guy before me got the last char siu and I wasn't able to come back in 30 mins so I just took what I could get. I also ordered 3 Manapua, chow fun, 6 pork hash and gau gee. They were also out of rice cake which is my favorite treat and I always try to get one when I come here. I had a short wait while they made me an order of fresh chow fun so I appreciated that. Lunch is served I have to say when I got home, I noticed the pork hash looked different than what it normally is like, gau gee still looked same. It was our first time having manapua and chow fun here and that did not disappoint! However, I was slightly sad about the pork hash and gau gee cause it just didn't taste the same. Maybe there was a spice missing or someone else had made it but I noticed the taste was off. It was still good but not like how it normally is. Hubby, daughter and I came here for dinner. No dine in and mask is required to enter. This place has been here for a long time as hubby was telling me and it's a family owned business. CASH only place. Always seems to be a negative for me but the food here is delicious. I have been here a few times before but never got to review this place. They have precooked food under lamps and I decided to get the noodles and beef broccoli. I think they ran out of fried rice but had white rice left. I cut out the rice and just had these two items and both were good. The lady loads the small try up. I got to wash down my food with a can of green iced tea. So good! Hubby got some pork which was half a pound. This tasted so good. They seem to be know for the pork. Plenty of parking up front and across the street in the parking lot. Since we was going to mililani area my husband said lets go to this chinese take out. I read about it from Dan O. a fellow yelper who said the char siu and roast pork was good. It was good. The fried rice was average in tasted kind of Bland with peas and carrots and toss in with eggs. The roast pork was crispy skin and char siu was meaty. They have other kind of chinese food but my husband said hard to take pictures because their was plastic sheeting covering over the Plexiglas. Po Sing Kitchen has been the neighborhood Chinese barbeque shop near my mom's house in Mililani for as long as I can remember. It is a small hole in the wall in the Mililani Marketplace near Safeway that specializes in char siu & roast pork that you would expect a Chinese barbeque to have, plus hot plates of steamer food. They also have manapua, crispy gau gee, & pork hash that's perfect for a snack whenever. Due to these Covid times, only 1 customer is allowed in the little ordering area. There are partitions made out of plastic wrap separating the customer from the food areas. For me, the main draw is their char siu. A little bit more well done than most Chinese barbeque places, a lot of the fat has been rendered out. What remains is utterly ono-licious! A perfect addition to my Chinese Chicken Noodle soup! This place is ancient, and I say this because I was frequenting this place while I was in high school, and technically, I should be a grandma already. Thanks to Yelper Dan O. for a great review of the char siu roast pork! I was having a birthday party on Saturday and wanted to get a few pounds of pork but was shocked to find out that one pound cost $16.00!!! Maybe this is normal? I don't know, I haven't bought char siu in like 25 years. I asked the gentleman behind the rows of ceiling-to-floor plastic how much char siu was a pound's worth, and he said about two pieces of pork. I watched him skillfully pick up a pork piece with his gloved hand and put it down. He then picked up another piece of pork and put that down. This went on for a few minutes. It's like his hands could actually tell how much each piece of pork weighed! After he found two pieces of pork that weighed about a pound, he chopped them up with his cleaver and packed them up. My guests loved the pork, they said it looked better than the ones they got at Chinatown. They devoured it. Whenever we feel like treating ourselves to an indulgent meal, we'll come by Po Sing to get an order of Honey Walnut Shrimp and Half an order of Duck. We love this combo so much, that it's pretty much all that we get from there. The duck comes with a delicious dipping liquid that tastes like it was made with the roasted duck. Half a duck is a decent size for two people to share. The honey walnut shrimp is a pretty small order for the price, though. Sometime we'll get two orders just to really satisfy our craving. However, when comparing it to other Chinese food place's, this one is our favorite! The main reason being that it doesn't have breading, so it doesn't taste heavy and oily. It also comes with something that tastes like wasabi and soy sauce. I'm taking off a star because of these reasons: it's cash only so it lacks convenience in payment, the inside isn't too inviting with all the plastic and the menu is hard to read, and honey walnut shrimp seems expensive for the amount we're getting. Even though that's three reasons, I'm only taking off one star because we adore our classic combo of roasted duck and honey walnut shrimp. Some day we'll have to try that roasted pork. I've been coming to Po Sing Kitchen in Mililani for over 20 years now since we bought a home here in Mililani Mauka and all I have to eat is that this place is consistent if you're looking for Excellent Roast Pork and Char Siu. If you look at all my pictures from Po Sing Kitchen it's practically all of the same pictures over and over again because I just love the Roast Meat Plate which comes with Roast Pork and Char Siu and choice of Starch. I always get the Half Fried Rice and Half Chow Mein Noodles. I will say that they don't skimp here with the Starches . And the Roast Pork here is definitely legit. The Roast Porn here is always Crunchy and Juicy and never dries out. And the Char Siu is just as good especially with that Sauce they pour over the Char Siu. Love how the Char Siu has that nice Char to it. And you know this place is legit for their Char Siu and Roast Pork when they come here and take it to the Neighbor Islands with them. I truly love Family Owned Businesses and this is definitely Family Run because there is only one guy that chops up the Roast Meats and I've seen him throughout the years. And he is the go to guy.They are very friendly and accommodating. You can tell they have a steady clientele here because there is no other place in the Mililani and Wahiawa area that serves Roast Pork ,Roast Duck, and Char Siu. Times Supermarket sells Roast Pork but it doesn't even come close when it comes to taste and flavor.. I just want to let people know that it's CASH ONLY and they are only allowing One Person at a time in the Shop. There is also plastic all over the place for protection but If you ask me It's like that Shower Scene from The Movie Scarface. Food was great. Ordered the roast pork $18 per pound is average price in these times. Salty crispy fatty pairs well with the hot mustard soy sauce. Pork hash was also good nice n big. For the price you pay it's not worth it. I went at 10:00 am so ordered 1 choice for 10.50. I ordered noodles and char siu. When it came to pay she say 15.00 She tells me you have to choose from the pan food. To be honest it's really nothing special. I thought I would give it a try. Located in the same shopping center/plaza as safeway this place is easy to find. Walking in the whole place is covered in plastic. (For Covid) and the menu is simple. You see what you want, you order it. I see the roast pork and char siu. I ordered it. Haha. Comes served on a bed of fried rice I was blown away by how savory both meats were! Roast Pork: Crispy and tender. A little salty for my taste but the fried rice helped with that. Char Siu: Juicy, tender, well marinated and perfectly cooked. 2nd review of 2018! My husband loves this place. I figured I'd stop by tonight and surprise him with his fav (char siu) to go with the fried noodles I made for dinner. I was lucky I caught them a little before closing and they still had nice pieces of char siu left. My family prefers the lean cuts of meat and the young gentleman behind the counter is always happy to oblige. I appreciate the fact that they are always friendly and never mind my picky request, unlike many other places that give you stink eye when you ask for specific cuts of meat. They are a little store located next to Subway in Mililani Marketplace so there is plenty of parking. The only downside is that they are cash only so be sure to bring the moola because plastic is not accepted here. It cost $11.25 for 1lb char siu which is a little on the pricier side (in my opinion) but I don't mind spending it for a friendly family run business. Wow, the best roast duck I've ate. When I first opened the container I frowned thinking why is it so dark in color is it burnt?! But it wasn't. The outside was crispy and the inside was moist, juicy, and naturally flavorful. The best part it wasn't oily as I've had it from other restaurants. Oh and our duck was made to order. I haven't been able to try everything Po Sing has to offer but what I have tried, I like. Roast pork by the lb, porkhash, and Icees are normally what my family and I will take to go for a quick snack. From what I can see in their food case, there's the usual Chinese foods for take out. Mabo tofu with eggplant, orange chicken, roast duck and roast pork... things of that sort. The location is quite small, just meant to get in, get what you want and leave. The prices are in line with any other Chinese take out restaurant if not cheaper. The one thing I'm curious about for my next visit will have to be the roast duck with steamed buns. As a heads up, I assume if you don't come early, the pork hash isn't fresh. They're kept out and microwaved upon ordering and they have to be ordered at a minimum of 3.
