This restaurant is one of the OGs. My dad used to bring us here when we were kids and it's still going today for a reason. You can't go wrong with almost anything you order here. We got the Chinese food craving and got a bunch of food the only issue I have is that their Peking duck was roast duck with buns. When I called to ask if I had to order the Peking duck a day ahead (like any other Chinese restaurant) they said no, it would be ready in 30 minutes. It was still good though and the amount you would usually pay for roast duck. The lady at the counter was so nice to me, I don't understand the reviews about rudeness because I've always been nice to the workers, and they've always returned the warm welcome. Thats my favorite so I was excited to dig in. One bite of the broccoli and I was disappointed:((( The broccoli tasted old and stale, everything else in the noodles was fine. Marinated pork-not hot again, microwave warm :(( Steam buns-nice and hot and that took a minute to come out Bitter melon-my husbabe enjoyed it Crispy fried chicken-now this what made me say something. that chicken tasted old and literally just warmed in the microwave. Ever since Covid Maile has went down in quality. They used to have good Chinese food but now it's just ok. If there is another place I could go I probably would. Service is ok. Hit or miss. They can be mean or nice. Depends on the day. The place is clean. One thing for sure is don't go there during Chinese new year. Me and my mom LOVE this place. We come here often. Only reason for the 4 stars is we rarely seen our server, waited very long for our food, and it definitely wasnt as busy as usual. I don't know if one of the girls was new though she looked nervous, and wiped our large serving spoon with a dirty rag before giving it to us but we didnt use it anyway, we didnt need it. The cashier brought our check and apologized though. We seriously love the food and will continue coming back. We both ordered the lunch plate with fried rice and shrimp Canton. Dined with family. Sorry no pictures because the food was so good we immediately dug in . The food was excellent. Our server was great. I got to the restaurant early and saved a square table, she recommended we move to a round table with the lazy susan so we can spread out and have more room. I've been going there for years. It's the staple Chinese restaurant in the Mililani area. The restaurant is huge and you just feel like you eating some authentic Chinese food when you're there. The service is always quick, unless it's a holiday, then good luck. The food here is very good. Sometimes you'll be let down by the portion size or flavor, hense the 3 star rating. All in all though I would recommend this place when you're in the mood for decent Chinese food, the lunch plate and the daily specials are usually full to the top and loaded. Super slow and unfriendly service. Waited almost an hour even though we called in our order early in the day for New Year's Eve. Not to mention the lady wheeling the food cart almost didn't give us our order since she didn't look on the bottom and I noticed it was two boxes... so I told my husband to follow her back towards the kitchen and ask about the boxes. We ordered the charsui fried rice, chow fun noodle, Mongolian beef, and beef with sugar snap peas and vegetables. Very disappointed on the Mongolian beef. Like that was not like regular dish you get at other places. And it was a very small dish for the amount you are paying. The fried rice was very different too. The service is really good. So they don't speak English very well when you call in and put in your order who knows what you're gonna end up with I order from them all the time, but this last time was like what the fuck! We took my mother inlaw for her 70th bday. It was our first time dining in. The service was great from the start, very friendly and attentive staff. We were early for our reservation but allowed us to sit even if our while party was not there. The portions of food were good size, through the years a lot of Chinese have cut back on portions. This resulted in is having too much leftovers. The Peking duck with bun comes with housing (I believe that's what it was) sauce and a piece of duck skin already in the bun and sits on top of the duck. In my opinion they have the best walnut shrimp I have tasted thus far (if anyone has suggestions I am all ears). Overall it was a good experience for us, we will definitely be back. The prices are affordable given the amount of food you get. The biggest thing, that impressed me the most, is that their bathroom is very clean and well stocked. Today I saw it in the menu and decided to try it but with crispy noodle. Unsuspectedly tasting it, my world of Chinese food ordering was turned upside down. It tasted fabulous. I don't particularly enjoy bell peppers or chunks of tomato but this dish was divine! A second helping acknowledged it- this dish is good stuff!!! Not sure if it was the day or the cook but it tasted fabulous. My regular Wor gau gee soup, chicken salad, Singapore noodle curry and king do pork chops has met its match. I am mostly go to Mililani shopping center for Foodland, T moble and Ross's, but a friend invited me to dinner and it took me a second to realize were he was talking about. Looks like a typical Chinese restaurant that you grew up going to all the servers for Neice old Chinese aunties. Looks like they've been working there forever, good service, and the food came to the table quick. I got the dinner special and it was cheap, and it tasted great! For about the same price as a #1 big Mac meal at McDonald's I got * Pork Chow Mein * Crispy Chicken '* Sweet Sour Spare Ribs * Sweet Roast Pork * Crispy Wun Ton * Fried Rice I got to say the fried rice tasted really good! Better than most local, fast food, places, fried rice, and with a little bit of sweet roast, pork and sweet-and-sour, spareribs mixed in taste even better ! Is it the very best Chinese restaurant I've ever been to, no, but it was delicious Chinese food at a great price.
