I had meant to check out 31 Hundred a couple of weeks ago, so when my GPS led me to Star Diner then, I wrongfully assumed that the system simply had a mind of its own. However, 31 Hundred is indeed located at 3100 Glendale Avenue; it's just located adjacent to the Hilton. I made a second trip back to catch up with an old friend from high school over lunch and am pretty glad I did; it truly is a hidden gem. The lunch menu is somewhat limited mostly to salads and sandwiches, with a few appetizer options. I personally was wavering between the Asian Chicken Salad and the Signature 31Hundred Burger, but opted for the former since salad sounded like a better choice on a humid afternoon. Ronnie also had a hard time choosing between the Portabella Burger and the Warm Goat Cheese Salad and went with the latter for the same reason. My salad came out looking more like a chicken entree since it was chock-full of chicken with a few measly pieces of lettuce. Works for me! The plum sauce complimented everything else (cashew, bamboo shoots, grapes, etc.) quite nicely and it was a refreshing change overall. It might even mark my return to ordering and eating salad too. Ronnie's salad came with a chunk of goat cheese and two large croutons; it seemed like he enjoyed it just as much minus the rock hard croutons. Prices are fairly decent (averaging ~$10 for lunch), although I plan on checking out their breakfast buffet and dinner menu sometime in the near future. I had to dock off a star for the service, which was a bit slow; we were led to a table 20 minutes after arriving when there wasn't anyone else waiting and only one other table of diners. Never once, however, did we feel rushed as we caught up on the last 4-5 years of our lives.

Not bad decor. The menu's are worn (pleather). The chairs are beginning to show wear as well.

I started going here a couple of years ago with colleagues from work. Now I go own my own, or when I need a comfortable yet classy place to have a meeting. The staff is always professional and I have yet to have any food that was bad.

Great experience. Elegant and quiet atmosphere. The food was delicious at a great price. I will definitely come back again.

No longer open. The hotel changed ownership and the restaurant inside has been rebranded.

Had the breakfast buffet here on 6/27, service was incredibly slow and breakfast sandwiches had mold on them.

After picking up lunch today, I realized I've never reviewed Adams Street Cafe, and honestly that's a huge miss on my part. I've probably eaten here once a week on average for years. It's so consistently delicious that I think I've underestimated just how important it is to the Toledo restaurant scene. The food is always excellent and clearly made from scratch. Nothing tastes premade or mass-produced. And the house-smoked meats? Absolute game changer. Even something as simple as a smoked turkey sandwich is completely next-level. Pro tip: order the Smoked Turkey Bacon Gouda -- it's unreal. The Bacon and Brie burger is another standout, and the daily specials are always worth checking out as they keep the menu fun and inventive. I can't say enough good things about this place. If you haven't been yet, you owe it to yourself to go try it.

I first discovered this cute cafe' 12 months ago and gave it 5 stars because the Turkey Reuben…read moresandwich was amazing. Today, I tried something else that I unfortunately didn't love, so I'm rating it 4 stars. Today, I didn't place my to-go order ahead of time and instead walked in and sat at the counter and sipped on a diet pepsi while I waited. I would describe the decor as cozy, rustic farmhouse chic, with lots of pictures of pigs. I had time to take pics while I waited for my order. I stopped in a bit later than the usual lunch rush, so there was literally no one dining in. A couple of people came in to pick up their carryout orders. The server was very friendly and down to earth. I ordered the pepper smoked turkey sandwich based on some reviews that raved about it. Rather than chips or fries, I opted to upgrade to a slaw for $2 more. I couldn't wait to get back to the office and try the food. Before digging in, I took photos because everything looked delicious. The meal was top notch quality. The turkey was thickly sliced with artisan lettuce and a garlic aioli sauce, plus cheddar cheese. The bread was a tasty sour dough. I ordered it without onions because I didn't want onion breath. Despite the high quality ingredients, it somehow wasn't amazing. It was very good but I didn't taste the pepper flavor on the turkey. The slaw was a nice mixture of kale, cabbage and carrots. For my taste, the cream sauce was on the sweet side, whereas my preference is less sweet and more tangy. Nevertheless, the ingredients were very fresh. As I reached the bottom of the bowl, however, there was a lot of runny cream sauce. Again, my personal preference is for less cream; someone else might love it. I know it seems like I am being overly picky, but I should mention that the total cost of my lunch (before tip) was $18.75 (sandwich, slaw and diet pepsi that was a fountain drink with mostly ice). Yes, everything is expensive these days, but I couldn't help being disappointed. I would absolutely return and order the Turkey Reuben in a heartbeat but wouldn't order the pepper turkey sandwich, slaw or soda. I'd also recommend dining in the adorable restaurant rather than eating at an office desk with plastic utensils!
