I'm not really sure where to start with this small mom and pop. It has a lot of potential to be great, however my experience was less than desirable. I walked in and noticed there were only two tables taken. Not typically a great sign at dinner time, but the weather was also bad. My waitress came over with the menu, suggested the turkey open faced sandwich, which I agreed to. She went back to place the order only to find out that they were out of some essential items for that meal. So I changed my order to their homestyle skillet. Now came the waiting. As the cook was making my food, the waitress was berating him with insults and making very loud sounds like a baby crying and mocking the cook. It was so loud in fact, that the other two tables stopped eating to watch and listen as well. It was very disturbing. When she brought my food, everything looked and tasted fine but throughout my meal the waitress would become almost belligerently loud as if she was under the influence. Then she took a very long time with the check and box I asked for after losing my appetite. She took so long however because she was too busy eating her own chicken nuggets behind the counter. I've never had such horrible service that I can recall in recent memory. Desserts looked great but I couldn't bring myself to endure any more. Woodville Diner, you'll have to step up your service game!

Gyro with fries. Very good but definitely fork and knife. A little heavy on the sauce.

Outstanding service and great food at a very reasonable price. Had the breakfast special which is 3 eggs, choice of meat, hash browns or home fries and toast for $3.99!!!! The French toast looked fantastic. Had lunch and everything looked and tasted fantastic too. I'd go for the onion rings instead of fries next time. Homemade hummus was great. Gave it 4 stars because I didn't care for the coffee/ambience.

Green pepper soup is good. Food is usually good .. Wait staff very helpful ..wonder if the guy in kitchen "cook" that wears the blue gloves ever changes them???

    Best coffee in town.

Delicious food and good prices. Good service, also accepts special orders, but may cost extra. Bare bones interior, not much ambiance.

After picking up lunch today, I realized I've never reviewed Adams Street Cafe, and honestly that's a huge miss on my part. I've probably eaten here once a week on average for years. It's so consistently delicious that I think I've underestimated just how important it is to the Toledo restaurant scene. The food is always excellent and clearly made from scratch. Nothing tastes premade or mass-produced. And the house-smoked meats? Absolute game changer. Even something as simple as a smoked turkey sandwich is completely next-level. Pro tip: order the Smoked Turkey Bacon Gouda -- it's unreal. The Bacon and Brie burger is another standout, and the daily specials are always worth checking out as they keep the menu fun and inventive. I can't say enough good things about this place. If you haven't been yet, you owe it to yourself to go try it.

I first discovered this cute cafe' 12 months ago and gave it 5 stars because the Turkey Reuben…read moresandwich was amazing. Today, I tried something else that I unfortunately didn't love, so I'm rating it 4 stars. Today, I didn't place my to-go order ahead of time and instead walked in and sat at the counter and sipped on a diet pepsi while I waited. I would describe the decor as cozy, rustic farmhouse chic, with lots of pictures of pigs. I had time to take pics while I waited for my order. I stopped in a bit later than the usual lunch rush, so there was literally no one dining in. A couple of people came in to pick up their carryout orders. The server was very friendly and down to earth. I ordered the pepper smoked turkey sandwich based on some reviews that raved about it. Rather than chips or fries, I opted to upgrade to a slaw for $2 more. I couldn't wait to get back to the office and try the food. Before digging in, I took photos because everything looked delicious. The meal was top notch quality. The turkey was thickly sliced with artisan lettuce and a garlic aioli sauce, plus cheddar cheese. The bread was a tasty sour dough. I ordered it without onions because I didn't want onion breath. Despite the high quality ingredients, it somehow wasn't amazing. It was very good but I didn't taste the pepper flavor on the turkey. The slaw was a nice mixture of kale, cabbage and carrots. For my taste, the cream sauce was on the sweet side, whereas my preference is less sweet and more tangy. Nevertheless, the ingredients were very fresh. As I reached the bottom of the bowl, however, there was a lot of runny cream sauce. Again, my personal preference is for less cream; someone else might love it. I know it seems like I am being overly picky, but I should mention that the total cost of my lunch (before tip) was $18.75 (sandwich, slaw and diet pepsi that was a fountain drink with mostly ice). Yes, everything is expensive these days, but I couldn't help being disappointed. I would absolutely return and order the Turkey Reuben in a heartbeat but wouldn't order the pepper turkey sandwich, slaw or soda. I'd also recommend dining in the adorable restaurant rather than eating at an office desk with plastic utensils!

This bar has been here probably as long as I've been in Toledo and that's over 15 years. When you walk in you see this beautiful bar made out of wood. I don't know who made it but it is gorgeous. They have a nice selection of alcohol for cocktails and Sutter Home type wine. Even a few craft beers for me. They have special events like jazz on Thursday for free with free appetizers and host comedy events on occasion. Only problem is you have to search it out. They don't do a great job of advertising. Now this place has a reputation of being a primarily black bar but I have seen folks of all ethnicities here and they are welcome. The bartenders are semi-friendly depending who you get. Prices are like you would expect being near downtown. AKA overpriced. But the bathrooms are clean and the atmosphere is nice. Come check it out
