We came here for dessert and they were out of their Korean pear slush drink (bummer!) as I really wanted to try that drink. Instead, we opted for the Blked Cookies & Cream and Seoul Thai Milk Tea. The Cookies & Cream wasn't bad but I felt that both drinks were a bit too sweet for us. Maybe next time when we go, their Korean pear slush will be in stock as I really want to give that a try. Prices are reasonable, credit cards are accepted, and there's plenty of parking.
The aesthetic is aestheticing. Came in around 6 for a quick sip while we decided what we wanted for dinner. My Strawberries & Crème was too sweet for me. It also had a strong caramel-like flavor that wasn't bad but I didn't expect. I love that they used real strawberries. My partners Seoul Thai Tea was so good I wish I had gotten that instead. Usually Thai tea is too sweet for me, but with Podong's version, the sweetness took a backseat to the tea flavor, which was super prominent and definitely the star of the show.
I finally stopped by during business hours, it opens at 12! Also the parking situation was baffling. There are about 10 spots right in front of Podong, but each small business has 2 assigned spots and they also fill up quickly. I had to go further in and find an open spot in the Gold's Gym lot, and then walked for a minute. Two staff inside greeted me and answered my questions about the menu. I ultimately selected the Korean Pear Slush. In a warm and sunny day it was light and refreshing. It's an ice blended drink with pear juice, some pear puree, lemon juice, and a slice of lemon. There is no extra syrup, so the sweetness comes from the pear juice and puree. Sweetness was reasonable as made, though I could see it being 75% and still good. I asked about the l Blackened cookies and cream milk, which has black sesame and peanut powder inside for the 'blackened' aspect. I am interested to return and try that. The Taro Milk Tea is a misnomer, since it has not tea and is just a taro milk drink. Additionally the taro is from a powder, so I am likely to try other menu items before this.
This aesthetic little boba spot is perfect for those seeking unique, Korean-inspired flavors. The shop is small with makeshift tables and chairs, giving it a casual, laid-back vibe. We tried the Mr. Clause Matcha, Chestnut Milk, and Korean Pear Slush -- all were creative and delicious, though they do run on the sweeter side. They offer seasonal flavors, so there's always something new to try. If you're in the mood for something different, this place is worth a visit!
This was an interesting experience since I've never had like korean flavors in milk tea before. I liked the tables set up with crates - that was cute. Service was also relatively fast. I really liked the Injeolmi and the korean pear teas. The Injeolmi has a roasted nutty flavor and the korean pear was nice and refreshing. The cookies and cream one was kinda weird though - I think it has peanuts or something in it because it tasted like peanuts and my boyfriend is slightly allergic and felt irritated. Other than that, it was a cute place. I might come back.

Unfortunately, the menu totally changed since the photos that I looked at were taken. They seasonally change their menu!!! That being said I took forever trying to decide what I wanted, a lot of the fruity drinks were fruits that I didn't really like. But the server I had was so nice and helpful in offering me recommendations! Anyways, I went with the safe bet and got the Mango Fruit Blast which was a mango slushie kind of drink. It was a basic choice but it was actually so good! Very refreshing for a hot day and the mango flavor was there without being too sweet! Kind of pricey for a slushie kind of drink but nonetheless I enjoyed it and it was a large size. Overall, this place was pretty good and the aesthetic inside is very cool! I'd like to come back to try their peach and lychee drinks because they sound good. Hopefully, I stop by when they're back on the menu!

There aren't many places that have chestnut drinks so I definitely wanted to try this and added the Seoul rice cake as the add in. On a weekday, it wasn't busy so my drink was made quickly. I loved the flavor and the Seoul rice cake which is just like mochi complimented it perfectly! The only downside is that it's pricey but then all boba drinks are around this place these days. I would definitely stop by again when I'm in the area.
ORDER podong milk tea (3/5) -- 50% sweet, less ice, w/ boba if you're a fan of coffee, this will be the drink for you! unfortunately im not.. but this was basically a ceylon milk tea w/ coffee foam. 50% sweet was still a little sweet for me, so this drink is definitely on the sweeter side. the boba was nice and chewy. sac sac green grape (3/5) -- 75% sweet, less ice, w/ lychee jelly toooo sweet, it tasted like a hichew. i wouldn't get the drink unless you have a sweet tooth. peach lychee tea (3.5/5) -- w/ jasmine tea, less ice, w/ lychee jelly im not sure if it was because we replaced the ceylon tea w/ jasmine tea, but it was a little on the plainer side. definitely wasn't as sweet as the other drinks and paired perfectly with the lychee jelly. mango yakult blast (4/5) the best drink of the night! super refreshing and wasn't overly sweet. seoul taro milk tea (3/5) the taro flavor was strong, however, the drink was too sweet. id definitely get 25-50% sweet. in general, the drinks here are on the sweeter side, but sweetness can be adjusted in 25% increments. SERVICE (5/5) the cashier was soo nice! we were a big group, but she took our orders efficiently and was able to answer the questions we had. the drinks came out quickly. super welcoming environment :) AMBIANCE super cute interior with a photo booth inside
We came around 6pm and it wasn't crowded! I love the vibes here and the music that they play. It's a pretty good spot to catch up with friends because the music wasn't playing too loud. My friend and I ordered the Korean pear slush and it was refreshing and not too sweet without having to adjust the sweetness level! However, my other friend ordered the green grape sparkling ade and she said it was on the sweeter side. Probs would be best to adjust the sweetness if you get that one. They also have a photo booth in here, which not a lot of boba places have!! 2 copies of photo strips can range from $8 & $10. Parking: might have to park a little far since it's in the same plaza as Gold's gym and most people are parking to go to the gym. But it's not too bad, I was able to find parking right away.
I've always seen this place on TikTok or IG, so I'm surprised it's not as popular right now? I visited on a Monday night and it was not busy at all. The vibes here were really interesting, its street, but also vintage, and their logo is a turtle lol. Seeing the menu, they have very interesting flavors for a Korean boba shop! I was a bit skeptical at first and assumed that these would be extremely sweet drinks, but I went with a safe option as many people (according to Yelp) seemed to like the Jeju Hojicha Milk Tea. I also checked-in for a free topping so I got the injeolmi cream top, don't forget to check in! There seems to be only one worker who is the cashier and bartender, so be patient with your drinks! I got my drink then taking my first sip from top for the injeolmi, it's actually very subtle. I wish the injeolmi cream top was a lot more thicker, but it tasted just like a very thin layer. The flavor was good tho! Then trying the milk tea, it was actually a lot tastier than I expected! I really liked how earthy it tasted and the milk wasn't too heavy at all. I do wish I got it even less sweeter even though I got it at 50% sugar. The milk tea isn't that strong at all too. It still tasted pretty sweet to me, but will know for next time!
If you drink too much podong, you become podong podong! What I ordered: Blueberry Yogurt Blast ($6.95) Strawberry Milkis Tea ($6.45) Food: Blueberry Yogurt Blast was full of tart and sweet flavors! I would say the drink is more yogurt flavor forward than blueberry. I have tried the other yogurt blast flavors as well, but the blueberry one is my favorite :) The Strawberry Milkis Tea was good as well, but it didn't really stand out for me personally. Service: The service was quick and easy! The store had a photobooth inside, so we went ahead and took some photos. There's a currently a promotion where if you buy a drink, you can take a photo for free! Ambiance: Good number of seating inside. The interior design is cool and hip with tvs, posters, and merch. Parking is not a problem since it is inside a big plaza with a parking lot!
An interesting Korean drink shop with some streetwear influence and cool, concave mirrors for all your IG selfie needs. It's in a plaza shared with Gold's Gym so the parking lot is always full and I circled for 10 minutes before finally deciding to follow someone leaving the gym and taking their spot. The inside is quite small with only 3-4 tables that were all packed with students on their laptops when I went on a Wednesday night around 6:30pm. They have 1 table outside but it was also taken. There's not really any other seating in this area so unless you come at a very dead time, expect to take your order to go. I ordered the taroreo shake after consulting with the barista and it was very good. She told me it was made with powder, which initially made me hesitant, but I'm glad I tried it anyway since I really did enjoy it. It was on the pricier side at $6.45 but I suppose it counted as a premium drink. It's a cool-looking shop but after the headache with parking, I'm not sure I want to come back again.
Was pretty empty inside when we came in. There is plenty of parking in this plaza where Gold Gym is. Ambiance is your typical boba shop with tables inside. They sell merch in one corner with a photo booth at the other corner. There is a gender neutral bathroom in the back for customers. Menu was pretty straightforward. We got: -Jeju Matchango ($6.45): basically mango matcha latte with a cream foam on top. It tastes mostly like mango with hardly a hint of matcha. No adjustments for sugar level (3/5) -Hanok ($6.45): matcha milk tea with injeolmi that had a cream foam on top. Tasted slightly different than your usual matcha milk tea but can't pinpoint the exact taste. The foam was pretty good. You can adjust the sugar level and it's base is oat milk (4/5) -Hojicha latte ($6.45): oat milk base and you can adjust the sugar level. Pretty good tea taste (5/5) They only have one size for the drinks. Staff was friendly and quick at making the drinks. The photo booth was the spotlight of this place as we really enjoyed the props inside- really felt like Korea! I would probably come back if I'm ever in the area.

Went here on a Saturday right around opening and it wasn't busy at all. My drink came out quickly and the person working was very helpful. They were out of a couple of drinks when I was there but they still had the one I wanted to try. Also parking is kind of a pain but the inside of the boba place looked cool. I got the Green Grape Tea with Agar Boba. The Green Grape Tea had a nice balance of sweet and tart! Having the Agar boba in the drink was also a nice addition too! If I'm in the area, I would definitely go back to try some other drinks read more
Ahhhh this might be my fave boba spot in Buena Park??? Parking SUCKS cus it's right next to a gym -.- but I swear the drinks are so worth I got the Korean Pear Slush with rice cake mochi which was SO FREAKIN GOOD.. literally 10/10 I absolutely luv Korean pear so I had to get it ofc and it was srsly so delicious. The rice cake mochi was a game changer cus I'm not a huge fan of boba but I will die for mochi so I immediately had to get that as a topping. My sister and I finished the drink within 15 mins We also got the Blueberry Yogurt Blast w boba bc the girl helping us said that it was the most popular flavor between the workers but lowkey it was just ok. We both realized that we don't rly like blueberry flavored things xD We'll try a diff flavor cus I think there were 3 diff options or try a diff drink entirely because there were so many drinks that sounded so good The interior is soooo cute & picture perfect! We heard it all types of boba shops but korean inspired fruit, milk teas, and even slashes? Unheard of for me, I don't know about you! Jumping in with a poppin' and vibrant aesthetic, I would easily say that this is one of the hippest and vibe-ist places you could visit especially around La Mirada AND Gardena! Parking can definitely get cramped here but once you find a spot, the place is very open and plenty of tables and chairs reside inside. The servers within are also a helpful bunch! Often times, you'll see many favorites tagged near the cash register or the baristas can guide you in the right direction in terms of taste profiles, flavors and types of textures! While price isn't flexible, it's definitely usual prices you'd find around town! Especially with these portions! Which is plentiful for you to indulge in the special features for this month; Piggy Bar, a chocolatey and fruitful delight that tastes smooth and sweet! Now I absolutely love chocolatey drinks but not when they're too sweet and THIS landed it! Jaws Bar, a korean-dessert favorite that has climbed it's fruity taste to a fan favorite drink! Not too sweet and very refreshing for those hot days or even while you still have hot food nearby. The sweetness isn't too over complex and compliments each other. read more

The decorations and lighting is very aesthetically pleasing here. Staff was very friendly. It's not your basic boba tea spot and their drink selections is different but good. Don't expect a regular thai tea w/boba here though cause they don't have that lol. There is a photo booth here so that was pretty interesting. Parking is super easy so that is definitely a win in my book. I'd definitely recommend to at least check this place out since their drinks and vibes are chill and different from your regular boba spot. :) read more
ABSOLUTE W. After going to the original location, I was praying that they'd open one slightly closer to me and GOD HAS ANSWERED MY PRAYERS. Similar to the other location, this one also has a very 90's (?), grunge (?), analog media-esque aesthetic to it (think of a music video I suppose). I love the vintage gas station signs that they have here and the wall of TV's playing random video shorts such as scenes from Poke'mon and Totoro. There is a point system with your phone number, but my friend has a stamp card, so I guess there is the best of both worlds. I got the Banana Savannah with less ice and with reduced sweetness and IT WAS SO YUMMY !! Good amount of creme brulee swirled at the side of the cup, real banana at the top, and even at a reduced sweetness, it was still a delicious drink. I was struggling so hard not to inhale the entire thing in one go. Tastes like a delicious banana horchata if I had to compare it to anything. I'm already daydreaming of the next time I'll get to visit here! read more
This spot has been on my list to try for a while now and I was so glad that I finally got the chance to stop by! Podong is a uniquely Korean inspired boba shop with some of the most interesting drink concoctions. This spot is located in a plaza with a good amount of parking spots and you can find it next to the Gold's gym. Once you walk in, you'll be greeted by a modern nostalgic street style type of interior. They do a great job of juxtaposing nostalgic and retro themes with modern and streetwear ones. As for their drinks, they have such a variety to choose from. Wifey and I opted for the Korean pear slush and the injeolmi slush and both were super refreshing with flavors uniquely Korean. The staff here are awesome and very friendly. We will definitely be back to try their other drinks next time we're in the area! read more

Injeolmi shake all the way. Seems to be all A ok now. :) The photo machine is a little broken but not biggie i guess.It was free when I took it. Not sure if its its free. I do have a sticker phobia and i noticed stkrs everywhere around the counter sides so that kinda get me now I cant have everything, can I? read more

Unique Korean-inspired drinks! I ordered the injeolmi shake and fruity yogurt blast (mango). The drinks were delicious but it was a little too sweet for me. I didn't check if I could get adjustments because I wanted to try it as-is! There is a parking lot but it is shared with other establishments including a Gold's Gym. There are some tables but the store is pretty small. Employees were super nice and helpful in recommending some drinks as well. They currently have a promotion where there are free photobooth pictures. read more

This shop was very lively and colorful. I can see why a lot of young adults would come here to hang out. My partner and I were not familiar with the flavor combinations and specialities so luckily the employees were really helpful with their insights and recommendations. I got the Jeju Hojicha Milk Tea and Sweet Rice Milk Tea. Jeju Hojicha Milk Tea was great! Had that smokiness and nuttiness. We visited a Smoke and Tiger location and they were really lacking on the Jeju Hojicha so luckily Podong Seoul redeemed my thoughts of Jeju Hojicha. As for my partner's drink the Sweet Rice, we were surprised of the taste. To me it reminded of a Milkis, but almost has that oomph like a tea. Not bitter, yet like which the menu description was right on the malt part. If I'm ever passing by, this would be another great boba option for me! read more

If I am not mistaken, there really isn't much bubble tea shops, but Podong still sets itself as a different boba shop with its aesthetic and Korean-inspired drinks. I've only gone once (so far) and tried out their Podong Milk Tea. It was good; I felt like it was more tea forward than creamy. I'll be trying another one of their drinks on my next visit. Podong Milk Tea with Mochi (50% sweetness and regular ice): Podong reminds me of a combination of milk tea and white rabbit cream. 50% is perfect amount for average sweetness. This drink is caffeinated! Wasn't a big fan of their mochi, was pretty starchy and it breaks down really easily. Seoul Matcha Milk Tea with Boba (100% sweetness and regular ice): Drink was really sweet. If you really like sweet get it at 100%. For those who have a lesser sweet tooth palate, I would recommend 25% or 50%. Drink is pretty straightforward it tastes like matcha milk tea and boba. read more

I came here on my 30th birthday, and am always happy to see the same employees that never mess up my order. I think they're sick of seeing me. But I love their drinks, and they're always so kind. The green grape fruit tea is where it's at! It puts other teas to shame with how tasty it is. Service is quick; there's hardly a line. Only downside is that it opens a bit later, but it's perfect for people who like to sleep in. read more

Came here after hot pot and it hit the spot. I got the raro milk full sweetness it was delicious and not overly sweet. I think because raro is not sweet by itself it made the drink just sweet enough. My husband got a slush, I forget which one but it was tart, yet refreshing. He got it only 75% sweet. Wanna come back a try more. read more
Slight update: Been here 3x now and tried 7 different types of drinks. I think they have super unique Korean flavors like injeolmi, black sesame, and hojicha. However, my friends and I agree that the flavors/teas are less potent than we'd prefer. For me, I think it would be better if the sizes were smaller with more potent drinks (specifically the matcha and the hojicha), or if they added more matcha/hojicha to get that deeper green color. Overall, pretty solid new boba shop, a bit on the sweet side for me but I'll probably adjust to 25-50% next time. :) Loved loved loved the interior and so much thought and time in every detail in the design. Kind helpful workers and cute stamp cards. Overall, I've enjoyed the matcha cream top tea the most and hoping to come back later for their grand opening to try something new:) read more
Stopped by here today and here's my reviews: Drinks: Seoul Taro Milk - has a crème brûlée mix with the drink so even adjusting for the sweetness and the taro, the drink will still be very sweet. It's good if you're a fan of taro and crème brûlée drinks (or have a massive sweet tooth in general). It was a bit too much for me, but I still enjoyed it since I didn't think it was overpowering. Milk tea - my friend's order! She enjoyed it and said it was pretty good, but nothing she hadn't had before. The boba was fresh: warm and chewy. Had a good bite to it! Staff offered to remake my friend's drink if she found it to be too sweet (she told them ahead of time she doesn't like overly sweet drinks). I didn't ask about the taro drink since I knew it would be sweet. Parking is abundant, but you might struggle to find super close parking. Staff is great and the storefront is cool. Someone actually asked about buying the clothes they sell in there. Not a ton of seating, but good spot to catch up with someone and i'd say a good spot for a casual first date. Decor has a Y2K futurism feel so it's a little funky, but fun! I will bad back and want to try other items on the menu. read more
I came by here on a Saturday afternoon and I really love the aesthetics of this place! The ambiance is such a nostalgic Korean cafe feel, it was really cute and nice! My boyfriend got the Seoul Taro Tea, and he adjusted the sweetness however, it was still sweet. The drink itself was still warm when he drank it, which is why I docked off one star, he had to take off the lid and mix it for a while for the drink to reach to a cold temperature with the ice inside. As for the Strawberry Milkis drink, I got it less sweet, and it was perfect! It's exactly how I envisioned the drink would taste since I knew how Milkis tasted. read more
So happy I stumbled across this place! There's not many boba places near La Habra so I'm happy this opened. My boyfriend and I circled around the plaza twice before realizing it's the store with the "Cleaners" sign. They currently have a 15% off coupon but you have to show them a flyer to apply it. There was a stack of flyers in the front outside. We tried the following: Seoul Taro Milk Tea 5/5 Jeju Hojicha Milk Tea 3.5/5 My boyfriend loved the taro milk tea and finished the drink before we got home (which isn't very far). I got the Hojicha and it's not bad but I wish it had a little more tea flavor to it. The workers were really nice and customer service was great! Easily one of my favorite tea spots ever! I discovered this place a couple months ago with my partner and fell in love with it. From the vibe of the store to the drinks made in house, it's a heaven sent!! The baristas at the counter are very friendly and very knowledgeable about their drinks. I always try to get something different because i love to try their seasonal flavors; this time around i ordered their Chestnut Milk with Seoul Rice Cakes and my partner ordered Green Grape Blast with Lychee Jelly. Chestnut Milk was super super yummy! That being said, I do have a HUGE sweet tooth and found this drink on the sweeter side (be aware that sweetness level cannot be adjusted for this drink). It's a very rich drink that is ice cold, but somehow makes you feel like you're getting a warm hug. It's very rich and very full. Green Grape Blast was such a refreshing treat. It was tart, sweet, and cold! Definitely recommended to drink with Aloe or Lychee Jelly. I will always find myself coming here if they're open for a dessert after dinner. Overall: New boba spot in the area! My new favorite. Drawn to it because of the theme of the place similar to its partner (?) Smoking Tiger. Really high quality drinks. Mango Yogurt Blast with Boba: So fresh! You can tell it's really mango with the chunks and the non-artificial sweet taste! It's sweet and just a little bit sour and it's perfectly blended-- not too icey or watery! The boba itself was to die for. It has a sweet taste to it and it's made so freshly, it was super soft and paired really well with the blended drink! Would come back for this! Pretty pricey ($7.70) but the quality is amazing and it's a huge cup. Service: Friendly smiles and offered to adjust drink if needed :) No complaints here! Always wanted to check Podong tea in Gardena but I was never in the area so was happy they opened one closer to home! I got the Korean pear slush and it was so refreshing on these hot summer days. The employee recommended 75% sweetness and it was perfect. There's some seating inside but not too many (I can see it getting crowded on the weekends). There's also no sign yet so it's where it says CLEANERS haha Parking is a bit difficult in the plaza cause it shares with the gym but worth trying it out once for yourself! read more
The vibes of this place were so cute!! As soon as we stepped in, it was trendy and very aesthetic. So many cute photo opportunities! They also had the cutest photobooth (which was free!) and was such a cute bonus. The drinks we got were the Seoul Matcha (so creamy and delicious) and the Strawberry Milkis Tea (so fruity and light). very cool streetwear interior and very aesthetically pleasing! the barista was very helpful in describing flavors and her favorites of their menu :) the injeolmi shake was soooo delicious !! i love how rich the injeolmi flavor is.. many places have issues with providing this flavor without it being too grainy. they got it right!! so many korean inspired drink flavors which was very nice to see. very unique and stands out from other boba shops. you can check in on yelp to get a free topping and we loved their free photo booth! had so much fun taking pictures and they had plenty of props to use :) i love the creativity of the drinks and the space and i'll be trying the other drinks soon! read more
