    Bag of chicken $35

Everything has been for my dogs lately and I mean everything. Literally!! I've been following poi dog treats for awhile. They actually have their products in some pet stores and I've received some as gifts for my dogs birthday in the past so I know they love it. They now have a store front and they hope they can keep it up as long as they can. It's located In aiea across the strip mall where times is. They're on the 2nd floor next to Roy Sakuma ukulele shop. There's a bunch of other shops in this area and there is no signage, so the only indicator is the rug outside that says wipe your paws. Tons of parking and there's one right in front of the store but a little tight so I just walked just a little from the other lot that's connecting. You can either order their jerky online or you can go to their store but you may want to ask them if they have the particular product available that you're looking for before you go. Inside you can find treats, leashes, and collars! Should you order online and do a in store pick up then you save 20%. Or you can get free shipping. What's best about their dog treats is that it's just one ingredient. Which is important for me at the moment because my dog is now diabetic so there can't be any extra additives in there.

Great products, friendly & fast service and their adorable doggy mascot greets you at the door! Best thing is the 20% discount you receive if you're able to pick up your online purchase from their Aiea store vs having it shipped or delivered. My mainland friends love receiving and sharing their Poi Dog Treats omiyage with their dogs.

Absolutely love this place! Has a very homey vibe and the owners are super nice. Our family dog goes gaga for their chicken and beef. Extremely recommend their affordable and high quality treats that your fur babies would definitely love. Follow them on Instagram as well as they go to different locations on the island to sell their goodies.

    Ahi jerky! So crunchy!

Pick is easy peasy at their store front in Aiea. My two dogs will literally finish their large 10 oz bags of chicken jerky in a week.

My dogs love their treats! They also make super cute dog leashes. She custom-made a leash to the length that I wanted in one day.

The owners offered a sample of their single ingredient jerky and my dog LOVED it.

Small quarters but the selection packs a decent punch. Owners and staff are welcoming,…read moreknowledgeable, and helpful. Not your usual aquarium store layout with most tanks on one side of the store while accessories and food aisles dominate the square footage, but tank-maintenance, small pet, and reptile wise, they have a lil bit of everything you need. It's all there. I was looking for more aquatic plant additions, shrimp, and loaches for my tanks when the owner informed they get re-stock and new shipment every Tuesday. I ended up leaving with male guppies, Molly's, and some homemade beef jerky (which was 10/10 btw) that auntie at the register offered instead. Don't know anything about the "smell" mentioned in earlier reviews because there wasn't one, not even the pet store kind that's expected. On the subject of earlier reviews, as far as service goes - it was busy since it was a Saturday and no one was rude or unhelpful to us considering we came in a big group with teens and kids, an age range famously known for wandering around with zero spacial awareness for others. They could have been annoyed or impatient about that alone, but they were accommodating given the size of the store. One staff member entertained my kid-sister's questions and requests while simultaneously helping others and cleaning the tanks. An example for you. For being a local family owned business since the 80s, I don't think over-the-top service is necessary. But I have a soft spot for small local business owners, so what do I really know? They keep the community alive. It gives them their own character. I doubt a 3 or less star review would negatively impact these long standing businesses anyway. But that's because I live in reality. I'll be returning every other Tuesday after they've acclimated/quarantined the last weeks new shipments. The location beats having to go Kalihi or Town if you live in nearby neighborhoods. Love that.

Christina at Petco was absolutely wonderful with my dog, Maddie. From the moment we arrived, she…read moretook the time to really listen and understand Maddie's specific needs, preferences, and sensitivities, which immediately made me feel comfortable leaving her in her care. I asked that Maddie only receive a bath, blow dry, and nail trim (no haircut), and Christina followed every instruction perfectly, including using Maddie's special shampoo. Maddie came back looking beautiful! Extra fluffy, fresh, not matted at all, and most importantly, calm and in great spirits. What really stood out was Christina's kindness and genuine care. She took time to talk with me before and after the appointment, never made me feel rushed, and clearly treats the pets she works with like they're her own. The treats were such a sweet touch too! Thank you, Christina, for taking such great care of my girl!

When I called ahead, I specifically asked if there were any requirements or documentation needed, and I was told no because Hawaii does not require rabies documentation. When I arrived, they asked if my dog had any allergies, and I explained that he does not, but he does experience seizures occasionally. The woman at the counter with long hair and a ponytail spoke with the manager, and I was then informed they could not groom him because of the seizures. They asked if he was on medication, which he is, and whether the seizures were triggered by noise, which they are not. I explained they only happen every few months. While I understand policies are policies and I did not argue their decision, it was frustrating to find this out only after arriving for the appointment. The manager did provide me with a recommendation for another groomer, which I appreciated. The manager answered my questions and gave me options for types of trimmers that I could use at home. However, the customer service afterward was what truly disappointed me. I mentioned I no longer wanted my other dog groomed but was interested in purchasing nail trimmers. The manager asked an employee to assist me. The employee walked away, and I followed her, but then lost sight of where she went. I eventually found her sitting at the front of the store waiting for someone else to bring the item. When she finally acknowledged me, she simply said, "Oh, I'm waiting for them to bring it to me." The issue was not the wait itself, it was the lack of communication. I was left standing there confused, having to look for the employee, only to find her sitting down without ever telling me what was going on. Overall, this experience could have been handled much better with clearer communication and stronger customer service.
