Very efficient at 945am on a Saturday for the twenty minute ferry to Vashon. Clean efficient and quick. $25 for two seniors +1 and our car.

We paid around $30 for the 3 of us, round trip. When you arrive, just get in a lane with your vehicle. Vehicles will enter in order of arrival. Fine for those who cut so please don't. If you don't make it on the ferry, then you'll have to wait for the next one. Have your tickets available, online or printed. While you're waiting, there's a cafe and eateries nearby. Once on Anderson island, there's a general store, museum, gift shop, sometimes garden market and other events, a couple of lakes, Air B&Bs. Definitely popular during the weekend so plan accordingly. When heading back on the ferry, line up the same way you arrived. If you're lucky an ice cream truck may stop by, otherwise not much to keep people occupied.

Rates are shown with discounts for seniors and children. Your ticket is 'round trip, so be sure to hang on to it if printed. Once you arrive, be sure to get your car in line (lines 1-2) and await directions to drive on. The trip to Anderson Island is about 20 minutes, time enough for you to leave your car and go up top for pictures or to stretch your legs. There's a cabin area with tables that you can sit at and eat a snack if you brought one. There's also a convenience store and a park close by the port if you get there early.

This was my first time taking a ferry that also transports cars, and it was such a fun experience!…read moreWe did have to wait about an hour before departure since we were bringing our car along, but we made the most of it by walking around the pier and pike place market before returning when it was time to board. I thought it was really interesting that you have the option to either stay in your car for the duration of the ride or head upstairs to enjoy the indoor seating areas and walk around the ferry. There was also food available for purchase, plus puzzles and other little activities to help pass the time. My absolute favorite part, though, was taking in the views. The Seattle skyline, Bainbridge island, and the ocean scenery were all beautiful to look at throughout the ride. The trip back was especially stunning since we caught it during sunset golden hour, which made everything even more picturesque!! Overall, this was a very enjoyable experience and a fun way to travel to and from Bainbridge Island! I would definitely do it again :)

Wonderful and efficient transportation to and from Seattle and Bainbridge Island…read more The ferry is spacious with ample indoor and outdoor seating. There's even a hybrid seating that allows you to feel like you're outdoor but it has an awning that blocks the wind. Make sure to check the schedule for accurate boarding times!
