Rock hard (kinda like my abs) sorbet
Frank T.

Turns out it's a tale of two Nola's. Went back with a larger group on Saturday after raving about how much we enjoyed this local place the Friday before. Girls didn't want Lugers, guys didn't want sushi, another couple was at Carbone's the night before and didn't want Italian. Nola I thought. "No drive to the city or the North Shore, we can hop over to Seaford" I say. "Sure Frank, we trust you". Everything started ok, seated promptly, apps and drinks come out quick, and all was great (well they didn't have stuffed olives as mentioned on one of the cocktails). All the sushi and apps were a big hit. The Nola oysters, Mulberry calamari, special zucchini flowers, eggplant stack, special lobster crepe, 2 special toro rolls and house roll. We're feeling good. The night got a little rocky from there. Entrees took a long time, and not that that's a problem (we didn't fire the entrees until after apps), but two entrees came out cold, one wrong (a sub was requested on the potato) and the steak over cooked. Those dishes must have been sitting around on the pass waiting for... idk. Do try the spinach - it is delish. Steak needed more seasoning. Then bussing got sloppy, tray of glasses broke by the kitchen, super loud - if we weren't committed to dessert, we would have paid and left. Thankfully the desserts and coffee were good. Long draw on the macchiato, which had more steamed milk then I was expecting, and good coffee. The Bo nanas are fun, and the apple crumb was pretty good. Shabeer couldn't have been nicer, and clearly he was working his butt off. He even offered us a cordial. No Sal making rounds tonight. Now, I'm just a civilian Yelp loser who eats and writes about it as a lame hobby, but they may want to figure out teaming a little better. I wouldn't have minded a dessert closer handling the end of our meal. Next time, I'll stick to Nola on weekdays or eat at less crowded times. Still wishing this restaurant lots of success as it's our best chance on the South Shore.

Haven't been here since it was Puglia's and it didn't disappoint. The restaurant is redecorated with a new menu too. Our server was right on point. We started with the lobster baked clams. They were fresh and homemade tasting. Didn't taste processed and there were pieces of lobster in it. For dinner, everyone but myself had the halibut with broccolini and all were happy with their meal. I had the Fresh Cortecce and added burrata bc well you know the more cheese the better! It had shrimp and roasted peppers in a creamy Parmesan sauce. It was very flavorful. For dessert, we split the apple crumb with vanilla ice cream. So good! The other couple had creme brulee. Very impressed! We'll be back!

My new favorite restaurant on Long Island. Food is top notch, out of this world fantastic. Great outdoor area to dine as well as inside, nicely decorated. One of the best menu's , the choices are thought out perfectly and menu design easy to navigate. I have to take a minute to shout out to JUAN our waiter.. best I've ever had in any restaurant.. this man actually cares about your dining experience and knows the menu and how the dishes are prepared. Make reservations now before the word gets out how outstanding Nola is and you'll be waiting to get a seat. The Chef came out, Chef Anthony, and he truly has the passion of food in his blood. Try everything on the menu it all looks and sounds amazing because I definitely will be doing that. FYI also great bar and wine menu. Ciao

Went last night for dinner, the food was delicious and the portions were large as well, my husband and I ended up having 4 appetizers and were too full and satisfied for a main. We had the oysters, the special baked clams with lobster the Prosciutto balls and the Gringo sushi roll. Each dish was flavored and delicious, drink prices were not bad either. The outside seating was very comfortable and cool with the overhead fans and Ryan our server was very nice, offering suggestion and descriptions of each dish. We will definitely be back with the rest of our family soon.

This was a beautiful and fun afternoon at one of the two Sake AYCE establishments on Long Island…read more The great things: 1) A lovely and warm welcome with smiles from both servers. 2) Immediate seating. They did fill up in the next 45 minutes. 3) The same price all day. No jump for dinner. no separate or upgraded menu after 3:45 pm. 4) Regarding the food - Sake has one of the most extensive and well rounded menus for an all you can eat Sushi/Sashimi n Chinese restaurant. They have 27 appetizers, 8 lovely salads, ( the spicy Kani was a popular one ), 7 types of soups, 9 different teriyaki items, special rolls and some really good quality sashimi- I got the tuna, salmon and yellowtail. The fish, gorgeous - melt in the mouth, fresh, generous portions and the accompanying wasabi and ginger was very, very good. I love that the house salad came with plenty of sesame ginger dressing( photo); the miso soup was hot and delicious. I ordered the pink lady special roll and it was outstanding. Again, everyone probably heard me moan in Ohio. 9 different desserts including ice cream, Oreo cheesecake. They have the best shrimp teriyaki with 20 pieces of big and juicy prawns grilled to perfection with that aroma and a light but addicting sauce over it. 5) Loved the iPad to order which went right to the kitchen vs the paper handwritten do overs. 6) Loved the service - attentive, caring, very polite, alert! 7) Loved that they offered both a senior(65 plus) or a military with ID discount( both 10 percent). 8) Loved the free parking right outside the back door. 9) Loved the decor, the colors and the vibe with a very cute bar. 10) Loved the clean men's restroom. Very nice and peaceful. I will definitely be back.

We have been eating at this place since they opened. It was the BEST sushi hands down. The service…read morevaried from fair to very good over the years. We ate there this weekend and had the most horrible meal! We made a few comments to the waitress and she quietly said to tell the manager. We had noticed that besides the sushi being tasteless and the seaweed wraps were like fibrous rubber that all the staff had changed. The spicy tuna had a consistency of creamed tuna and NO taste. The maki rolls were all rice and that tough seaweed. I spoke to the manager about it and she just nodded and said she would tell the kitchen staff. I asked if they had new owners and of course.... They had sold out a month ago!!! We usually would eat there at least once a month, sometimes 2-3 times. I cannot see myself EVER eating there again under this new management!! I'm heartbroken because all of our kids would come back to NY and "demand" their fill of amazing sushi. Our friends from all over would ask to eat there also. I now have to find a new sushi place. Do NOT go there!!!!!

Cinnabar location should really survive the restaurant test of time…read more The staff has always been top notch along with the various food options and clean, nicely kept decor. The seafood has always been super fresh and picture perfect, made to order every time. Jumping in on one of the all you can eat options is worth it, as it truly gives you an option to try familiar and new items that hopefully become a fan favorite. Cocktail and Drink menu is vast and super tasty whether you opt alcoholic beverages or non. Dessert menu is limited, but after eating all you can of the menu I suppose room in the tummy is limited. Could be nice though to have a few more small bite options outside of an ice cream cup. Purchasing a Groupon to discount your final bill is super easy, and easy to hit minimal required total after ordering an adult beverage or two. Opted to celebrate my NYE Birthday here this past year for my first try and came back again recently for Mother's Day Unisex restrooms are kept neat and there is at least (the first) one with a baby changing table. Parking is plenty but can be a little tight during peak dining hours. Highly recommend this location as it has and more than you could ever want in one seating.
