Two words: Jumbo Shrimp That is all you need to know Go; thank me later My parents used to live next door to this place. I would guess I've probably been there twenty or so times over the years. Great view near the confluence of the Mississippi and St. Croix rivers next to a bunch of boat docks. They used to only have beer and wine, but there is now a full bar. There is not much on the food menu, pretty much just Heggie's frozen pizza and their famous jumbo shrimp. Get the shrimp! Two bucks a piece if you buy a beverage. This is what keeps the place packed during the six month or so season that they are open. I have had shrimp at much fancier and more expensive restaurants than the Marina, and for my tastes no comparison, give me the Marina shrimp all day every day.

Sweet watered-down drinks, tough jerky-like shrimp, totally disinterested servers. Oh and cash only. Are these reviews for real?

I did a search on Yelp and came across this place that was only a few minutes off our route and it was more than worth the extra 5 mins. The interior was filled with little signs and rubber ducks. For drinks I ordered the Bloody Mary which came with a spotted cow chaser and my husband ordered the mimosa. We spotted they had spotted cow cheese curds and ordered these. They were absolutely amazing and rivaled the Mouth Trap Cheese Curds you get at the Minnesota State Fair. For entrees I ordered the Butcher Omelet with Hollandaise and it was so delicious and packed with fillings. I had no hope in finishing it so we took it home for leftovers. My husband ordered the Three Little Pigs Benedict and noted it was a top 3 benedicts he has ever had (he loves benedicts). I also ordered a cold brew cocktail I think it was the Spiked Salty Caramel and it was delicious and decadent! The entire time we were there people kept stopping in and visiting the bartender to get drinks and it was so fun to see. She was absolutely so fantastic and one of those bartenders you would go back to see over and over. Just a bummer its not close to our house. I would recommend this place to anyone who is over in this area. It is so perfect!

There was a 45-minute wait for a table for two but we snagged a couple spots at the bar and sat down right away. The bartender/waitress was a pure delight. Despite how crazy busy it was, she was pleasant and helpful and efficient. (I'm sorry I can't remember her name.) And they were offering free mimosas to all the ladies which was a nice bonus. Hubby and I both ordered the eggs Benedict with a side of hashbrowns. Everything was perfectly cooked and we were delighted with the crispy hash browns Strangely, we find crispy, perfectly cooked hashbrowns very rarely. And we have breakfast out fairly often. This restaurant nailed it! The prices are very reasonable, and the service was great. Highly recommend!

I like the…read moreidea of tossing rocks at a wall full of fun things to hit vs. tossing an Ax, seems like such a better idea. We got a bucket of rocks to toss at the wall filled with lots of metal objects, a chime, some Tonka trucks. They also had a fun crane that you can pickup blocks and try to stack them up or build something. The venue is an old Hastings building that has a ton of character. The Tap Wall has a good variety of beers and ciders. They change them up weekly. The costs per/ounce seems reasonable. They have the types of beverage broken down by type (IPA/Dark...) which is helpful. The cost/ounce varies depending on what you are getting. We tried several different menu items and all were good - the three different kinds of cheese curds along with the wide variety of wings (both bone in and boneless). They also have a lot of great sauces to add to your wings or curds. I also tried the Caprese flat bread, yum. We also tried a couple of the specialty cocktails, I really like the Honey Jalapeno Marg! The wait staff was very friendly and helpful with any questions we had.

We stopped and grabbed some drinks, I got a beer and then saw the drinks of the month and had to try the watermelon mule. It was fantastic! Really enjoyed it! The hubby just sipped on a beer. We got 2 small buckets of rocks for $2 and went to the area to throw some rocks. The $1 a bucket was totally a great deal and simple enough without dropping major money on something so novel, but also really great. The service was a bit to be desired as despite multiple bartenders (and not many people) it took a while to get drinks or service, but the quality was great of the drinks.
