Here's the reality- you are probably coming to this spot for the ambiance. They've got great summer cocktails and it's a fun little tiki vibe to kick back with friends and have a drink on the water. As far as food- they only have pizza (which are already premade.. But still tasty) or shrimp.. which I'd say are a 3.5/5. Two words: Jumbo Shrimp That is all you need to know Go; thank me later My parents used to live next door to this place. I would guess I've probably been there twenty or so times over the years. Great view near the confluence of the Mississippi and St. Croix rivers next to a bunch of boat docks. They used to only have beer and wine, but there is now a full bar. There is not much on the food menu, pretty much just Heggie's frozen pizza and their famous jumbo shrimp. Get the shrimp! Two bucks a piece if you buy a beverage. This is what keeps the place packed during the six month or so season that they are open. I have had shrimp at much fancier and more expensive restaurants than the Marina, and for my tastes no comparison, give me the Marina shrimp all day every day. read more

Sat outside with friends and enjoyed their shrimp, pizza and pizza bread. Especially liked the pizza bread and shrimp. Cool atmosphere, delicious mango mojito too! Wish the season didn't have to end. read more

Stopped for gas and planned on having a meal at the restaurant. Paid for my 38 gallons of fuel and they directed me to a slip where I could park to eat. My boat was too big for the one he had left, so told me to check back if either of the bigger ones opened up, which I did right after I checked if the public dock had parking. When I checked back here, they weren't free so I pulled back up to the gas dock to drop a passenger. I was told I was not allowed to do that in accordance with their "customers and guests only" sign they posted. I reminded him that I just spent $120 getting gas and tipped their attendant $10, he said too bad, I wasn't allowed to drop a passenger on their dock. What a horrible business. I will never get gas there or eat at their restaurants again. I have many times in the past and I will no longer out of principal for the way I was treated. read more

I have been here a couple times. The dock staff was super nice but the bar staff was not. You have a business and you know its busy on the river, hire competent workers! And friendly ones who can handle pressure. One thing you never forget is how your treated! read more

It's a cute little place , we sat outside. We had a Sprite which was in a can and a drink. We decided to order food and another drink. I went inside with cash in hand to order. The waitress said she was too swamped to take our order so we left. I think if she had said she was busy and just grabbed the bottle of beer in the cooler where she went over to anyway and placed our food order while we waited outside, we would've waited. My boyfriend asked why she didn't just grab the bottle of beer while she was there. After leaving a man said when they are busy like that they lose customers due to bad service. read more

Okay folks, if you need a summer getaway, look no further. Their hours are a little crazy, usually closed on Mondays & Tuesdays (maybe Weds too) and not open until about 4 p.m. On Saturdays they may be open all day. Their patio is where you want to be, right on the river. Beer is priced right, and you have to love the food. The menu consists of: 1. Shrimp 2. Heggies pizza 3. Garlic bread - All made in the pizza ovens. It will surprise you. Sit by the river and listen to Jimmy Buffett while getting away from reality for a few hours. ***NOTE*** Bring cash because they DO NOT accept check/credit card. I really wanted to like this spot. We have a boat in the area and have wanted to stop for over a year. That said, disappointed all around. The waitress forgot about us twice. Had to track her down to pay our bill. The drinks were disappointing. She played up the summer drinks made of saki so my husband went for it. Folks, it was 90% ice and about 1-2ounces of liquid. And the Bloody Mary was similar and disappointingly very sweet. The shrimp themselves tasted good but they were served on a dirty paper plate with a plastic knife and toothpick to eat with and about 1 tablespoon of butter and cocktail sauce. The waitress, again, promised to see if we needed more but we never heard from her again. The worst part was the end. Another waiter came up to us as we were 80% done with our food and asked if we could move to a table for 2 in the bright sun vs. our shaded table because a bit group wanted our table. I said we would be done in just a minute and if we could find our waitress, we would pay and leave. Out came our bill. A post it note. And the message that they only take cash (which was not told until that point). I am suspicious of any business that does cash only and writes a bill on a post it note.......Will not be back. read more

I'm pretty sure it's closed in the winter. Great beer spot. The marina is awesome. I'm a huge fan. Great find, it's off the beaten path, that's for sure. I have nothing else to add that the other posters didn't already hit. In sum, this is a very laid back place. read more

Horrible service, the "food" shrimp or pizza is below average and the restrooms were filthy. Too bad because the view is nice but the horrible service ruins that. If you want to be screamed at and threatened, this is the place! read more

This is NOT a place to stop for intentions to have a quality bite to eat. I see these older reviews from 2009-2010. Seems like the still serving the same. We tried the cheesbread....really can't screw up cheese bread. Wait staff are nice folks. yes, nice view of the river. We had a few beers and kids some pops. so we came to try it out. Let me point out why this place gets a "ONE" Star rating: Foremost - this being a MARINA for docking - we traveled down from Stillwater to Prescott. Wanted to try this place. The young male dock hand @ Marina as we pulled in asked us if we coming in for "food". I said yes, our first time here and wanted to try it out and we docked along w/another family who had their own boat. We sat in upper deck ordered drinks and cheesebread for all 4 adults and 3 teenage kids. We spent an hour there, again waitstaff always nice and checking in. The older lady waitress (late 60's) was very helpful. Here is where it starts...I needed to buy 2 cycle oil for my boat...wanted to have it on hand. About 2 blocks up the street are gas stations. So I left the point marina (alone) walked up down and came back 10mins later. I walked back down to my boat in the marina. I was followed by 3 dockhands and as I stepped into my boat. One man (later ID as Manager) - prob around 25yrs old (didn't want to give his name) was instantly on me.....he starting yelling at me and asked if I just came back from uptown. I was "shocked". I said yes I purchased 2 Quarts of Oil for my boat motor. He says "you cannot go uptown to buy oil, we don't allow anyone to go uptown" - "can't you read the sign "for Pub customers only". "We can't allow you to do that" - I responded I didn't realize you couldn't go uptown to buy something. He yelled again - "My dockhand told you that it was for Pub customers only and you can't go uptown". {this was a flat out lie - the dockhand just said you coming in for food - never mentioned to us we couldn't leave the so-called Pub}. I responded - "why are you so mad and treating me this way as we just spent money at the Pub for beer, pop and cheesebread and now I decided to walk to gas station alone to get oil for my boat while everyone else stayed here at the Pub and Marina. So what are you going to do - fine me?" Mgr replies (thinks for a few seconds) - yes, $15. I responded "No, I'm not paying you for oil that I already purchased"....Just then I noticed my wife (other family) come down from Pub and noticed the situation. She asked what happening and I advised. She was "shocked" as well, said we are not paying $15 as we already spent money on food and drinks. The Marina Manager yelled again stating the signs says "for pub customers only and he couldn't walk uptown". My wife says go get the owner. I continue to tell the manager that I alone was the one that went to get the oil - while everyone else stayed here at the Marina. The Manager says "that is not allowed by our rules - we told you that". Which I still never was told I could not leave. The owner Bill came down and we told him of the story - Bill stated that the sign says for Pub customers only. I explained that I was the only one that went up town to buy oil - everyone else stayed here and Paid for food and drinks at your business. But now I feel like I'm the Bad Guy when the Dockhand nor anyone else told us we could not leave to go buy oil. Bill says we get people coming in and leaving boats for hours and go eat at other businesses. I responded - "I get that". You need to tell people that...as a "Sign telling Pub customers Only" was not visible to us as we walked up to "pub" as the steel gate the sign was on back side. Bill looked at the angered manager - told him "their fine, let them go". My wife and I thanked Bill and we left. We noticed the Angered manager talking with Bill face to face. So Hopefully this will tell BILL to "fire" the manager and find someone with better Customer Service Attitude. When confront someone w/out knowing the facts is pretty crappy. We are not coming back here again and telling everyone to stay away from Point St. Croix Marina. read more

We love Prescott, and Point St Croix Marina was a great place to spend a night on our boat. People running the place are as friendly as can be. We had some shrimp in the bar/grill before we hit the town. read more
