The burgers were fresh made patties, with fresh and crisp veggies, plated very nicely with a pickle and cherry tomato on top. The fries were seasoned well with sea salt and pepper, and were hot out the fryer. The price was as expected for a destination pub, and the food was very solid. For pub food it's top tier on what to expect from your standard pub with a little touch of flair to make it a bit more of its own. I really enjoyed the food but it's not really anything to write home about. It's solid, fresh, as expected pub food, near its finest. The staff were super friendly, not fast, but friendly and happy to start up a conversation. The mushroom was the soup of the day but I really liked the sandwich and fries. The fries were super tasty, coated, crispy and thin cut. Just the way I like it. The ambience was also very comfortable with the heavy rain.
