Amazing poke spot off of Kennedy. Fish is always fresh and lots of toppings to choose from. My favorite is the citrus salmon or the spicy tuna non mayo. Sauces are many in variety with my favorite being a combo of spicy mayo with house blend. Team is friendly and helpful. Portions are great sizes leaving you full. Only downside to this place is the hours and parking. They are only open for lunch M-F. Parking can be tight since they share a small space with Smoothie King. There is some residential parking where you can park but lately it's been under construction. The place looks clean and the service was very prompt and attentive. As they explained the menu to me they mentioned that the essential ingredients for a poke (tuna or salmon) would be a $1.50 up charge per scoop. To me who eats poke everywhere and loves it , I can't fathom going into a poke place and then being up charged for the poke essentials. So, I walked out. Pretty tasty poke with an endless amount of toppings. No complaints on flavor but we were a little hungry after our regular-sized bowls, so I would recommend going for the large. Because of that, a little pricey but good in a pinch. Loved how easy it was to customize my bowl & there was a great selection of toppings to pick from. I also got an order of miso soup when I placed my order via UberEats for lunch on a Wednesday. I can't speak for eating at this location, but the delivery I received had excellent quality veggies & fish. The mango I opted for was a tad underripe, but everything else in my bowl (cucumbers, pickled ginger, scallions, avocado, wonton strips, salmon, & tuna) was delicious! Their eel sauce has strong honey notes too it giving a nice sweetness to counter the savory ones of soy sauce or poke sauce, but I can see how just the eel sauce alone could potentially make a bowl too sweet. My order of miso soup was light on tofu and very heavy on seaweed, but the flavor profile of the broth was on par with many other miso soups that I've enjoyed. The portion size for both the bowl & the soup was great, and they were able to provide utensils including chopsticks, fork, knife, and a soup spoon for delivery convenience. I scheduled my delivery so it would arrive during my lunch break which I definitely recommend if given the chance. My delivery window was 1:15-1:45 and my lunch was 1:30-2:30 so the time frame was fabulous and great for accommodating work or life schedules. read more

Parking right in front is a rough squeeze and there is a little side parking, but since I think most patrons take to go, it hopefully works out better than it looks. In an effort to have a little more, I ordered the spicy tuna with spicy salmon and light spicy Poke sauce along with brown rice, kale and cilantro seaweed, edamame, all sorts of little colored sushi fish eggs, macadamia nuts and radishes... Hmm, I think that was all. My first bite was a single taste of the spicy tuna, and wow it actually was spicy! A true medium :-) All of the ingredients were very fresh, and that made for a very enjoyable poke bowl. The regular sized was pretty filling. I believe I paid around $13, and for the quality of food I received I was definitely OK with that. They have bottled water and healthy beverage options also, and all utensils etc are cutely decorated on a wall for you to grab as needed. Although I told the cashier it was to go and she gave me a to go bag, I had to get my own utensils to put in the bag, didn't really expect that but glad I double checked or my meal wouldn't have hit my mouth. Poke Fish occupies a small space with interior wall art that creates a tropical feel with a unique blue and white color theme on its white walls with fish hiding behind blue pineapples, a blue rainbow, and blue fish shaped rain drops falling from the clouds. The majority of the restaurant interior space is occupied by a long counter where you can choose all your toppings with 4 tables inside the restaurant and 2 tables outside the restaurant in a space shared with the Smoothie King. The regular size poke bowl comes with 2 scoops of protein and 2 bases for $12.95 which is a little higher to the average going rate in South Tampa and a bit higher compared to the USF area poke spots. I ended up getting protein scoops of spicy tuna & shrimp with bases of green power blend, kale noodles, mixins of sweet onion, cilantro, green onion, toppings of Cucumber, radish, jalapeño, edamame, ginger, mango, pineapples, strawberries, blueberries, Seaweed Salad, macadamia nuts, orange tobiko, red tobiko, Wasabi tobiko, furikake, sesame seeds, wonton strips, fried onions, fried garlic, toasted coconut, chow mein noodles, Kimchi. For the marinade, I got sweet honey chili, tamari, & ponzu while for my topping sauce I got Thai peanut, Chili lime, & Wasabi. Talk about flavor town! All the ingredients were really fresh! The regular size bowl offers a very large serving size that is filling and will leave you satisfied. As with all poke bowls, when compared to sushi rolls, they offer much more food and a better value! I loved the sauces, there were a lot of toppings available and everything tasted great! When I was looking for a new Poke spot, I compared menus to other Poke restaurants on Kennedy and Poke Fish offers many more protein and mixin options than We Are Poke and Poke Burri was not open so Poke Fish is your best bet on Kennedy in South Tampa! I should never put anything on a pedestal based on their instagram. I did that here. It was blah blah blah boring bland. Nothing to it. Just whatever and first impression of this place was fishy. I guess that should be after all it's in the name of their store. I guess I've become more and more of a poke snob with all the poke places that have popped up everywhere. This one was one of the most unappealing. I also didn't like that most of my bowl was rice & the very tough kale cabbage combo. Although I guess that is the usual texture, it didn't make it better. I picked the salmon and tuna and added crab salad and seaweed salad among other things. This seaweed was way too strong fishy tasting and the crab salad it was yet again flavorless. I have to start out by saying that I have been WAITING patiently for Poke Fish to open because poke is one of my favorite things to eat. I could have it twice a day and I was planning on it. But... First, it's cute inside. I love the clean white and blue look! The neon sign over the food area is adorbs! The wooden seats, not so much. I know they were a money saver, but they seriously are wanting you to take your food to go with seats like that. Definitely not going to hang out with friends there... Now, the food. There are a lot of yummy choices! IF they have them. When we were there I'd ask for something on the menu-say, masago. Pretty standard poke fare, and she just looked at me, at the empty tin, at me and said "We're out." Same with seaweed salad. Same with crab salad. Now, not only are these typical poke items you would want to make SURE you had plenty in stock when starting your business, BUT...you would soften the blow by BEING NICE ABOUT IT! That was my biggest problem. The girl was the crab they were missing! Unacceptable. Last thing: for $1.50 you pay for flavored water. It has cucumbers and pineapple in it and tasted like it had been sitting there since 6am...the day before. What a disappointment. But then again, I'm the idiot that paid for it. Finally south Tampa has a good enough poke place. This place does the poke right. Why I said that. Because they take extra step to marinate your selected poke with add on separately. That way the poke is separate from the base and topping. First chose your size. Figure out how many scoop and base you want. Second chose your base. The base includes brown rice, white rice, kale slaw, or power blend. Third chose your poke protein. I will definitely go with double tuna or tuna plus salmon. Then chose you mix-in sauce. This part can get tricky because whatever you chose is on you. I usually chose multiple sauces in sweet side and poke sauce which is a bit salty. I also like it to go with green onion and cilantro. I wish they can add the corn, edamame, cucumber in the mix-in. It will be better. Why include as topping. The great thing of this place is the have many toppings with fruit items which I like. Price wise is above average. But the have good sauce choice at the end. If use multiple sauce at the mix-in section, you may want warn them ahead so they don't put the first sauce too much become unbalanced. Good luck for the mix-in. If you afraid you will fail on the sauce choice, try their pre set poke. read more

Poke fish is the greatest concept that has ever happened to south Tampa! Seriously though... I've always loved a good, fresh poke bowl but they bring fresh to an entire different level. The tuna is amazing and all of the unlimited toppings are just as fresh and delicious. While I cringe at the thought of spending $15 on lunch during the week, I still find myself at poke fish at least twice a week! It's so great, it's worth the extra few dollars. I am a huge fan of the large bowl with spicy tuna, regular tuna and their house sauce (a combination of three different amazing sauces). Located in the same plaza as the Smoothie King, it's a tiny store with a small parking lot on both sides of the store. However, there is neighborhood street parking behind it. Once inside, everyone was warm and welcoming. Just like most of these places today - you start at one end and work your way down to the other. I got my bowl with tuna and salmon. Normally I get the spiced tuna, but it was so ground up it was almost unrecognizable, so I passed. I love that they offered 3 kinds of fish eggs to put on top. I do wish they had a few more free toppings other than a variety of fruit, plus more crunchy items to throw on it, like panko, as they do at the other poke spot I frequent. There are three tables inside to sit at. If you're lucky - you get the bench side; if you are unlucky, you get the wood block with no back side seat. I patiently waited throughout my pregnancy to try Tampa's growing poké scene and have been rewarded a new poké spot, walking distance from my house! Poké Fish, located on West Kennedy Boulevard next to Smoothie King, is one of the newest poké spots in South Tampa. My husband and I decided to try it for dinner today, just a few days after it opened its doors. The interior is very clean and simple with a small area for dining in, but this is primarily a grab and go restaurant. Place your order at the counter and the staff behind the counter will walk you through the assembly line of toppings. There are three sizes of bowls to choose from: snack size, regular, or large. If you are looking for an Instagram worthy poké bowl you can pay an additional $3 to have your bowl served in half of a pineapple. I decided on the regular sized bowl with two bases and two scoops of poke. For my base I selected brown rice and kale cabbage slaw. I almost selected the spicy tuna as my poké until I realized it looked like it had been stuck in the blender and quickly selected the regular tuna instead. Creating your own poke bowl can be a bit intimidating when given so many different ingredients to choose from. I probably went a little too safe with my bowl and should have taken advantage of more of the toppings, but I was worried about selecting flavors that clashed. While my creation wasn't the most unique (totally my fault) the ingredients tasted fresh and delicious. On my next visit I'll be a little more adventuresome and find out if blueberries, sriracha and ponzu taste good together. I'm from MN and I don't think it tasted any fresher than poke places back home, but it was quality and there was no fishy taste with the exception of their seaweed salad. Make sure they give you all your sauces if you order to go. We all ordered serval sauces and marinades on the side. We were shorted a couple. The make the prices based on the size of the bowl and then how many bases and proteins you get. The spicy tuna and salmon were delicious. They were running low on the regular Tuna so I wasn't able to try that one. Lots of sauces and toppings available. If you are a fruit person they have quite a lot of those, but not as many green vegetables as I usually prefer. Avocado was extra which I didn't love, but they did give an entire half of an avocado for the up charge which at least made it worth the $$. The food is decent but very overpriced for the portions you get. I've never really had a good experience here. They always cut corners with the amount of poké you get and load it down with veg and toppings. Also, I've been overcharged multiple times for the drinks they carry in their fridge, which isn't the end of the world, but just a good show of how much they pay attention. I had been craving a poke bowl for a while and had bookmarked this place. I live in Sarasota but was driving into Tampa and had to try this place out...so glad I did! The place was easy to find and there was parking right out front. The restaurant was clean and had a bright fresh decor with white and blue. We were greeting by the friendly staff right when we walked in. The ordering process was a breeze and the menu was very clear about the different options. The ingredients are all visible and everything looked so fresh. Since I had recently moved from Hawaii I was super pumped to have a traditional spicy poke bowl. The fish was fresh and flavorful and the spicy sauce was perfect. They had special infused waters that all looked refreshing. I had the tea which was delish. There is seating inside which is half booth the other half a seat that is a box to sit on. Very clever decor. Outside there is a white bench to sit on. While the location is probably not ideal, the inside is cute, quaint, and a pop of color when compared to its surroundings. The staff was young and cheery and made you feel welcome as soon as you walk in. Their poke ingredients were plentiful and fresh. Unlike other places, they held the food at a proper temperature and marinated properly. The food was slightly more expensive than most poke places but at least they serve their food correctly. Meals were 14.99 but we had plenty to pack into our bowls. My sisters and I were extremely pleased as we try to visit every poke place we come by. I always get excited when new places open up that aren't your typical sports bar or "american cuisine". I've been waiting for Poke Fish to open up to I can try it out and it did not disappoint. The ambiance goes hand in hand with a lot of the ciccio group establishments (fresh kitchen, ciccio water, daily eats) even though I don't believe they're affiliated; bright, clean, chic and staff is welcoming. There are a handful of places in downtown Tampa area that serve Poke bowls and i'd have to say this place might tie for first with The Hall on Franklin. Not to mention they didn't up charge for the good stuff (ahi tuna, salmon, Shrimp). I got a large bowl which includes 2 bases and 2 proteins and endless toppings/sauces. I chose brown rice, power greens, ahi tuna, salmon, and shrimp. I highly recommend the poke sauce because it's a perfect mixture of sweet, bold and tangy.
