    Kahlua pork plate
    Ashley E.

Our experience here was a real bummer. It started out with them informing us that they didn't have complimentary waters available, so we overpaid for bottled water. The food was not great. The only food we enjoyed were the ribs and the shrimp plate was decent. The rice was stale and kind of crunchy and over cooked or it had been sitting in a rice cooker way too long and dried out. The kahlua pork was over salted and also dried out. The loco moco was cooked ok, other than they didn't ask how we wanted the egg and my husband dislikes anything but scrambled eggs. The issue we had with the loco moco was the gravy was a tasteless, gloopy, unpleasant experience. This meal was super expensive for what it was (around $80 for 4 of us) Hawaiian food is one of my favorites, but unfortunately this is not a place I would return if I was in the area and craving it.

    Huli Huli Chicken - Plate

Seen this place on TikTok, was in the area and decided to give it a try. So happy we did because WOW, the food, service and ambiance were amazing. The young man who was working was very attentive and made sure everything came out well. The Huli Huli Chicken plate was enough for two people. The chicken was so moist and delicious. The macaroni salad was also so tasty and refreshing. The Killa Kilauea Fries were amazing as well. The basket was clean after my husband ate them! I definitely recommend Aloha To go! We will be back for sure.

My husband wanted to try this place because he LOVES Loco Moco since we went to Hawaii. He said it was amazing, I had the Kalbi ribs which I've had on Maui & they were super good! Wish we had this place by us but have to wait till we're up that way again. BTW I saw a lot of complaints about the staff & the girl working was over the top good!

Good food. Very busy, small, local establishment with a few tables inside and a few tables outside. Our fave was the Hulu Hulu chicken. And the beef and rice. Pork was a bit salty for my liking, on the big kahuna. Our friends enjoyed the chicken wings and rib platters. Expect a little wait as it was vey busy.

I had the big Kahuna and all 3 of the meats were very flavorful! My husband is pretty picky, and he enjoyed his California burrito as well.

    Poke Bowl

I was craving a poke bowl so I thought I'd try this place out. Honestly, I wasn't that impressed. The poke bowl was plain. I was really hoping that I could pick what went in the bowl such as veggies and different kinds of meats but they only had tuna and spicy tuna. It came with only rice. I guess I should have looked at the menu/pictures. Anyway it was ok. There were a few tables inside and outside. Service was pretty fast. I went on a Sunday afternoon and there was only one other table occupied so not busy at all. I will say that as I was walking out another customer was letting the server know there was something sharp in his chicken and it definitely kept him from finishing his meal. This kind of turned me off with this place as well. I will probably not return here because all I really wanted was poke. :/

Garlic shrimp and small kahlua pork plate. Took it to the beach at sunset- perfect!
    Thuy L.

Decided one night we wanted to get takeout and head to the beach, so we found this place online right near Indian Rocks beach. Grabbed garlic shrimp, kahlua pork and spam musubi. Great flavors, good portions. My partner lived on big island so he knows Hawaiian food. He said this was pretty close- of course nothing matches authentic pork cooked in banana leaves and in a pit...but this was delicious. Loved the texture and flavor of the shrimp. Totally recommend a couple plates to go, some BOGO and a sunset!

    big cajuna

Tried this place for the first time yesterday and we weren't disappointed! We actually tried to come Christmas Eve and it was closed and we were so sad (yelp and google said it was open). Our order: my husband got the Big Cajuna plate (mac salad, coleslaw, and the 3 meats - beef, kalua pork, and shoyu chicken), and I got the poke bowl ($15) and a spam masubi ($3). We went with a party of 5 and the whole meal only cost $88 - not bad! Pros: - easy parking outside, next to a cute kitchy souvenir shop perfect for tourists - Great for parties of 5 or less - not a TON of seating inside and mostly best for parties of 4 - We were super impressed - it was basically one dude doing everything (taking your order, cooking, and serving you lol) - Food came out fairly quickly, like ~5 min wait ish - you pay beforehand and can bus all your own disposable dishware after - The poke was super fresh and I was shocked to find a place on the mainland NOT in Hawaii that served it this well! Surprisingly better than some places in California! - The coleslaw was oddly pretty good - loved that they put pineapple in it - The guy running the thing was super nice - the spam masubi was delicious, a little heavy on the rice but still loved it. - Decent price for the quality of food you're getting! - Lots of options for everyone! if you don't like fried food, don't order fried food - The big cajuna is a good sampler plate if you're trying hawaiian food for the first time. - Delicious mac salad (my FIL usually doesn't like mac salad but didn't mind theirs!) - it's not TOO rich and they give you a good amount We recommend getting the bigger non-lunch portion because it's delicious 10/10 will come back the next time we're in the Largo Indian Rocks area! I was shocked that the Hawaiian flavors were spot on.

You order at the counter when you walk in and you can sit down anywhere. They have indoor and outdoor seating. The interior is fairly clean and very organized and the condiments are always stocked. I love to get the warm lobster roll and it comes with a lobster butter. I like to get their coconut shrimp since it's hand battered on site and also their onion rings are also hand battered made to order. They have a really good smoky dipping mayo sauce that comes with the onion rings or fries. It is a very good sauce. I would say it's the saltier version of cane sauce and a small gear version as well. It's absolutely phenomenal. You will never find a better coconut shrimp or a better onion rings than here this place really does it very well better than any place I've ever had homemade. The lobster roll is very very fresh. I would definitely get it again. It is always always fresh. You'll never get a bad lobster roll here not like at the other places. I think this is the only place in Florida that does it the best I used to fly to Boston just to get a lobster roll and ever since I've been here I don't have to do that anymore lol. Their clam chowder soup is extra thick and that is the best type of clam chowder soup ever I loved just dip my onion rings in there and the coconut shrimp in there and the lobster roll in there. It is absolutely delicious. The best you'll get in the area.

To our pleasant surprise, we were seated right away even though the restaurant was very busy! They initially placed us in a booth and we kindly asked if there was a table near the window since they had a great view of the water. The hostess checked and found us a table next to the window. Great start so far. Our server was pleasant, though service was a bit slow. But again, the restaurant was very busy so we understood and were just happy to enjoy a meal there. It was our last night on the beach and we were very hungry, so we decided to order a bunch of items: Espresso martini Bread basket Lobster bisque Smokin' fresh tuna spread Sushi Red grouper (catch of the day), Indian shores style with shareable side of au gratin potatoes Red grouper (catch of the day), wood fire grilled with mashed potatoes Shareable side of charred asparagus Our server spaced them out and brought out the drink, the bread, the soup, and tuna spread first. The bread was supposed to be sourdough, but when the basket came out I noticed it didn't look or taste like sourdough so we checked with the server and he informed us that they ran out of sourdough so they gave us basically a French baguette. This was surprising and quite disappointing because we should have been notified of the change right away. Also concerning for allergies, but fortunately, we didn't have any. Then came the sushi and finally the entrees. Almost everything was delicious. One of the grouper entrees was a bit overcooked, but we really enjoyed the sides. The espresso martini was smooth and strong. Even though I always make room for dessert, we decided to skip because by the time we finished our entrees, we had already been there for two hours. We were ready to turn in for the night. Overall, we had a good experience and we were very grateful to be seated right away despite them being very busy. We would also recommend the food. It's a great restaurant with a nice variety.

Also, my son ordered a scallop dish and it came with almonds all over the plating but almonds were not described at all in the menu. When we called the restaurant back to talk about the mistake, the server who answered, said she didn't think that anything could be done about it, but maybe they could make a buttered pasta for our son who ordered a signature entrée and not from the child menu. She said she would ask her manager and call us back. She did not call us back, so my wife called back and asked to speak to a manager. She was able to talk to the manager. Ultimately, my son was able to get the order cooked again without nuts. The manager's excuse was that they had recently designed new menus, but they hadn't been printed so the nuts weren't listed. We ordered off of a digital copy online so that would not need to be printed onto paper. For allergens like nuts, that absolutely needs to be listed on the menu. They did comp his order so I gave two stars, but thank God he's a super careful kid. The food that I ordered was grouper chowder, and the coconut shrimp appetizer. The chowder was bland and had one 1 in x 1 in x 1.5 in chunk of grouper in it. The saltines it came with had more flavor. The shrimp in the coconut shrimp was cooked but parts of the coconut were undercooked and tasted like raw coconut, which is either because too many were cooked in the fryer at once or the fryer temp was too high. We picked up the order. I noticed that the place was busy but the kitchen staff seemed small. Probably too much pressure in the kitchen to meet diner demands. Maybe the kitchen needs more staff.

For our entrées, the coconut shrimp was outstanding. The shrimp were large, coated in a crunchy toasted coconut breading, and paired perfectly with the orange blossom honey marmalade. The creamy garlic mashed potatoes, grilled asparagus, and roasted tomatoes rounded out a delicious plate. We also ordered the crab cakes, which were packed with lump crab meat, perfectly seared, and complemented by the Creole mustard aioli. Our kids were just as impressed! The kids' fish and chips meal came with a surprisingly generous portion of flaky fish, crispy fries, and fresh fruit, making it an excellent value. I called on a Monday evening for reservations for 8 people for the following Saturday evening at 6pm and requested the room near the bar. I was told no problem - they could put two tables together for us. She took my name and phone number and all was good. Saturday afternoon at 4pm I received a text from Coco's stating they could not seat 8 people in the bar area - 6 people is the most they can take. I explained what happened when I tried to use their online reservation app and it kept messing up that I called and spoke to someone there who I assumed was the hostess. She asked me for the persons name and I did not remember it (5 days earlier) The hostess on the phone didn't care and again stated that the largest party allowed in that room was 6 people. I asked why she waited until 2 HOURS before the reservation to call me and she said she and the other hostess came in that night at 4 pm and saw the reservations then. I asked her if she could seat us in the main dining room and she said no they could not. This is inexcusable and bad policy to not review reservations in advance in order to notify patrons of an issue. So Saturday night before Fathers Day, 8 people -4 dads-were left to hang out to dry.

The house salad with Pima colada dressing has me imagining how to make this dressing at home. Sweet and creamy and easily coating every leaf. The bread at the start of the meal for a disproportionate amount of attention from my family. It was served hot, with garlic and maybe other seasonings across the top, and generous sides of butter. Our initial server, Kyle, kept the bread flowing for us until the meal came and it was fantastic. We gave the potato skins a try, and they were delicious! My family ironically isn't huge conch / shelled fish eaters so the rest of the appetizers didn't suit us much and this was a lil Midwest taste while on vacation. We returned to try the jalapeño crusted grouper and were again very satisfied. Totally different than the coconut mahi, it's savory and well flavored but leaves you far from begging for water. She apologized and realized how rude she was coming across. Probably bc both my husband and kids as well as the other table had awkward shocked looks on our faces. She was much more pleasant after that. I tried not to take offense. Maybe the fan was distracting her from listening as it was blowing us out of the restaurant. The fan was on so high w the AC that everyone was freezing bc we came from the beach w wet bathing suits under our clothes. The kids kept going outside to warm up while we dove for our napkins and other items that flew off the table every min from the hurricane winds. I mean fan. We asked if they could turn it down or off and they said the other table wouldn't approve which was funny bc their child was wearing a hoodie and had to also go outside to warm up complaining loudly he didn't want to eat his chicken. He was too cold. Clearly they would have not wanted that fam off. They also are child abusers like us. I'm leaving detailed of a review bc I want a reminder that $160 later for a family of 4 isn't worth this and to not repeat this mistake bc we visit this beach often. Definitely walk farther.
