Mrs. E. points out we haven't had Poke in a long time, we've never been to Poke & Prep and she doesn't want to cook on our last night here. The joint is exemplary! Next time we're in Bremerton, we're coming back. The food was terrific. All the ingredients tasted like fresh from today. I recommend the Hawaiian Ahi or the Honey Teriyaki Chicken. Came by Poke & Prep this past Saturday with my 9 year-old daughter. The staff greeted us right away and instructed us on the ordering process. What I enjoyed before getting to the food was the way this adorable shop was set up. My daughter was immediately drawn to the swinging egg chairs. The place was clean and very spacious. I had a basic salad bowl with spicy tuna and salmon with cucumbers, edamame, crab, and tobiko. My daughter had a rice bowl with tuna and crab for dayyysss in hers. We enjoyed the fresh ingredients and portions. I was so busy that I neglected to take a photo of our bowls but I'm dropping a photo of my kiddo in the egg chair while we played chess. I felt like I had one bite of each of the sides that I got. The poke doesn't taste fresh at all and the flavors are not good. The spicy poke just taste like fish soaked in siracha. The fish portions are like a tea spoon. Not to mention we felt sick after we had stomach aches. My husband and I got different choices in our bowls and we both got sick. Ask for avocado and you get like a tiny piece. The workers are not friendly or conversational at all. read more

Stopped by for a poke bowl before work yesterday. Service was quick and the process was easy. Was directed to a little slip of paper to fill out for what I wanted in my poke bowl. I didn't take a picture unfortunately but this was hands down one of the best poke bowls I've had in a long time. The salmon tastes really fresh and of good quality. The torched scallops were BOMB. I wish there was a little more avacado but perfect otherwise. This will definitely be a regular stop. read more

Best boba in town. The costumer service here is like no other, each staff member is very kind and down to earth. The boba is fantastic! You can tell it's made from quality ingredients, so I'm excited to try their poke. Plus the shop has the coolest atmosphere, perfect place for cute pictures. Can't wait to come back :) read more

The food at this place is great, but the service could use a lot of work. There is no good reason for it to take 20 minutes for a customer to get a poke bowl, a drink, and be rung up. One person be hind the counter is not enough to staff this establishment effectively. There should always be someone at the register to ring people up and make the drinks. This means a minimum of two people behind the counter. Ideally there would be three. One at the register and two others pumping out poke bowls as fast as they can with accuracy. Set a goal of getting a customer through the line completely in 10 minutes or less. I would encourage the owner to go look at other restaurants with the same model (Subway, Chipotle, etc.) and see what they are doing. How many employees behind the counter? How fast does it take to get through their line? What role does each employee play when serving customers? This place, as I said, has great food. Once they get some service issues resolved they will be unstoppable. read more

Finally good poke is nearby! I dropped in after seeing something about a new poke spot opening up on FB. It was a little busy with people ahead and behind me. There were a few options for fish and like with most poke they had the sides such as edamame, onions, ginger, avocado, masago, and the sauces. They're still really new so it seems like the people making the bowls/drinks need some more practice/training and then it'll be a hit. I ended up ordering two bowls and two drinks and they were good. Only two of the options for fish were gluten free since they all had some sort of glaze which was a bummer for me since I'm not a fan of spicy butttt I decided to go for it and I'm so glad I did. The spicy salmon was really good, a little heavy on the sriracha perhaps but good! I'd get it again. I didn't realize we added additional sauces at the end and I wasn't offered so I had to ask for them on the side after I paid. For the drinks, I had the jasmine milk tea and it was good but the oolong milk tea didn't really taste like oolong to us. I ended up paying and then waiting, it took them a couple minutes to ask what I was waiting for and then once I told them they started to make my drinks. They have a minimal but cute seating area and it's probably really good for photos. I totally forgot due to being excited about the poke lol. The employees were all friendly, and overall I can't wait for this place to be open longer so they can get that practice and be five stars! read more

I went to their soft opening on January 5th and loved their atmosphere, bubble tea, and food! The owner Jason is very welcoming, professional, and has great work ethics. My first time being in here and I didn't know what to expect. It's good but the portion is small. There was more rice if anything. The ratio of fish to rice is off. I've been to other places like this and they do not skimp out on the protein. I'm not so sure with the price too because it's expensive with small amount of protein. Then you go to another place and the price is worth it for the amount you are getting. Just my opinion, but I'll definitely comeback if I have a craving. read more

In my field of operation we're required to enforce any discrepant condition(s) with specific references and their requirements. And although he provided a reference, it is NOT a requirement. It is just a "TIP". I'm not an advocate for the restaurant nor am I asking him to remove the review. I'm just publicly informing everyone to review information accurately otherwise you'll not only damage a restaurant's credibility but you'll make yourself look like a fool. If you hold higher standards than the WA state department of health, good on you. But this restaurant isn't violating any laws or creating unsafe conditions. They meet minimum requirements. I was excited to try this new place out. I bought the 2 protein bowl and it came with a mini scoop of ahi poke and 2 small slices of unagi (extra $2). The portion size is really small for the price. I counted only 10 small cubes of ahi and 2 slices of unagi. Ambiance and service was good. I'll update this post after I eat my poke bowl, probably for lunch tomorrow, because the bowl is not enough for dinner...lol read more

I ate my lunch here and I love it! I've read the bad review of the place and it did make me slightly suspicious at first, but when I arrived there, it was not the same as the people who had left bad reviews made it seem to be. Staff were friendly and the place was well cleaned. My bowl was made in a very timely manner and with generous amounts of salmon, tuna, and eel. Overall, I would recommend this poke place to anyone. Was looking to get something fresh and light in Bremerton and stumble upon this one. Walked in and immediately loved the atmosphere. The staff greeted us and explained how to place the order, super easy. Hoping the food was good, we sat and waited for our order patiently. When our order was ready I looked at it anxiously.... The food was mediocre. It was as "mid" as you can think it be, or even lower. my expectations were high as it took for the food prep wayyy longer than it should have. But I got nothing but disappointment when I received my bowl. The portions for the bowl were a disappointment. Let's not even talk about the matcha milk bubble tea. It's an acquired taste for some, but it's mediocre once again. The flavor wasn't so "matcha" but more as a vague watered down drink. I could still feel the powder bits in my mouth as in wasn't shaken up very well. But the best part about this place is the vibe, they have a cool setting in there with decorative walls and chairs. Definitely a nice place to chill and lay back. But for a 21$ order for 2 items, I don't recommend. read more

I ordered food from here just a drink and a bowl at 5:19pm, I got an email at 5:36 pm saying my bowl got refunded and that's all. Than finally at 5:59 my drink . One drink was delivered . I have no idea if this is normal where something that is made from scratch is completely out and there's no call or anything to try and substitute. was disappointed that my dinner was just a drink. I noticed this place while walking around by the ferry terminal and decided to try it. Good food and wonderful people. I found there were plenty of options for ingredients to give me the spice level and mouth feel I was looking for. The mango pineapple blended drink was a delicious way to cap it off. Poke and Prep has been a life changer. I go often on the weekends and I am never disappointed! The poke has such amazing flavor and texture and the boba is out of this world. The employees are some of the most cheerful people I have met always greeting you with "Aloha!" As you walk in. I can tell they all love working there. Although it is a new business, the owner has taken special care to create a cheerful atmosphere from the soothing music to the tasteful decor on the table. A solid 12/10 read more

The worst poke bowl I have ever had. Normally, I dont order poke in kitsap because it sucks. This place didn't disappoint it SUCKS! Fish is frozen, not fresh, spicy tuna is weird, and they want to add a bunch of vegetables. If you're from an island or have a fresh tuna bowl, stay away from poke fresh. I forgot it also cost me 43 dollars delivered from Uber Eats and only got two disgusting proteins and white rice. So AWSOMEME! read more

TERRIBLE customer service. They left me waiting for almost 15 minutes when there were 3 employees there and only 1 person ahead of me. Then they tried to serve me wasabi instead of avocado and when I pointed out I did not order wasabi (and actually HATE wasabi) they claim they have no avocado. THEN on top of that they attempt to check out a man who came AFTER me, leaving me standing there yet again just waiting to be rung up. I almost walked out. It became that ridiculous. Will not be returning. Oh, and they are WAY overpriced for the measly little scoops of protein they give you. read more

Ordered a poke bowl. There was more greens than poke. Portion size was small and not worth the $15.00 I paid. Service was mediocre. The hanging chairs take up too much space where open seating with small tables would fair better. Disappointing. read more

This poke spot is excellent! Reminded me of all the great poke spots back home in San Diego. The fish was so fresh and flavorful! We got 2 proteins- Hawaiian Ahi and fresh salmon with white rice, double seaweed salad, spicy crab salad, edamame, ginger, pickled onions, pickled cucumbers, ginger, spicy mayo, ponzu and unagi sauce. My wife said the Eggs Benedict were the best she ever had. It was simple, but each element was prepared to perfection and the combination was delicious. I would agree but that is based on the one bite I was allowed! My scramble was great. Perfectly cooked eggs, bacon, and potatoes. Our plates were both clean. We didn't get pictures, but our plates looked just like the pictures on their brunch menu online. What a great start to our day! Parking is usually not a problem, but today parking in the garage one level below the restaurant was a little tight.

My husband then went to ask for the cooks name and Myla's and while they're waiting he overheard them talking about my appearance and making fun of the interaction. I'll be honest with you--this place is a disservice to the poke bowls I've had in the past. I'm from Hawaii, where poke bowls are all about the quality of the fish. The focus there is on fresh, flavorful fish that shines as the star of the bowl, not on piling on a bunch of sides that overwhelm the dish. So, when I found out the owners of this place were from Maui, I thought for sure that their bowls would do justice to the incredible poke I've had in Hawaii. Unfortunately, that was not the case. The fish here was disappointing, to say the least. The portions were small, and the fish lacked the fresh, vibrant taste you expect when you're enjoying poke. It honestly didn't have much flavor at all, which was really surprising given that they should have easy access to quality fish. It's hard to enjoy a poke bowl when the fish doesn't have that "wow" factor--it felt more like an afterthought, rather than the main event. What really threw me off, though, was how much they focused on the sides and toppings. In a true Hawaii Poke Bowl, the sides should complement the fish, not overshadow it. But here, it felt like the emphasis was on all the extra toppings--things like crunchy garlic, sauces, and random vegetables--rather than letting the fish shine through. It's fine to have a variety of sides, but when they take over the bowl, it just detracts from the whole experience. It ended up feeling more like a salad than a poke bowl. I had hoped that this place would offer a taste of the authentic poke bowls that are a staple in Hawaii, but unfortunately, it fell short. If you're looking for a poke bowl with a focus on the fish quality and a true Hawaii experience, this is not it. It's clear that the owners might be from Maui, but the bowls just didn't live up to the hype. Overall, it was a letdown, and I can't recommend this place for anyone looking for an authentic poke experience. If you're after something that's more about the sides and less about the fish, maybe it could work for you. But for anyone who knows what a great poke bowl should taste like, this place probably isn't going to satisfy that craving. read more

Literally just had lunch at Poke & Prep in Bremerton, WA, right after landing in Seattle, and it was a real treat! This place is all about that fresh West Coast vibe, and boy, did they deliver. I went for the brown rice poke bowl, loaded up with Hawaiian Tuna, Marinated Salmon, and Shrimp, plus all the fixings - seaweed salad, pickled onions, tobiko, edamame, and sesame seeds. Talk about a flavor explosion! The fish was super fresh, and they didn't skimp on portions, which was awesome. Inside, the place had a cool vibe, with nice decor that added to the experience.
