Cute little shack like restaurant with plenty of outdoor seating. Super accessible to the ferry and downtown. The food was fresh and flavorful and was pretty reasonably priced and provided a good size portion of everything. I really enjoyed the chili based sauce to add more texture and spice.

The poke sho-ka-do box was a great option to try the different types of poke - i really liked the yuzu truffle salmon one! The special salmon bow was also really good and very tender. There's lots of seating outdoor and a few inside. It's right there when you exit the ferry terminal so very convenient! Service is nice and friendly!

We visited Hi Life during our day trip from Seattle! The service is what you would expect at a casual eatery. You decide what you want to eat and drink (order at kiosk). The staff will bring out the food to the outdoor dining by area. I found the truffle poke to be just mayo poke - it doesn't taste like truffle enough at all. I also didn't eat all the sides in my bowl. I'm used to paying for fish by the pound so it felt like wasted bowl space.

This place reminds me of a beach shack selling fresh fish by the sea. I enjoyed their salmon poke bowl though I wished the salmon pieces were cut a bit smaller. My friend mentioned that the fish wasn't fishy at all which is always a good sign. Their hojicha latte was pretty good too but I would probably try something different next time. The spam musubis seem to be a popular choice since they were already sold out by the afternoon. When I say beach shack vibes, I mean it. The place basically only has outdoor seating, and depending on where you sit, you might have to deal with a few flies or relentless sun. There are tables with umbrellas and folks are nice to share their shady space. Still fun experience nonetheless and great poke.

Took the ferry to Bainbridge and this was definitely a highlight. We split an octopus appetizer which was perfect. And we each got a poke bowl and split an ice cream. We felt portions were generous and the rice was perfect! I could see how local people would make this a regular stop!

The poke here is amazing. I only wish I had more time on this island to try more food at Hi life. Do not skip this one! Salmon poke with chili oil was to die for!

If you come to Bainbridge you HAVE to come here. Bainbridge is very much a one and done thing as far as touristy stuff goes, but this place alone has us planning on making another trip just to eat here. We got the nine sampler box and every single poke option was so fresh and tasty. Very good portions. Both soft serves were excellent, but the Suntory Whiskey soft serve blew my mind. Please don't skip it. The service here is excellent and so kind and everything was so good I had to go back up to the counter just to let them know and thank them.

    Chirashi bowl (happy hour $20)

I had the opportunity to hop on a ferry with my husband on a Thursday afternoon, to Bainbridge Island. We strolled down the town for about two hours and found a place to eat. We tried Hi Life as it had good reviews, and we got the Unagi bowl and the chirashi bowl. The unagi bowl was the best unagi I've ever had in my whole life..! I was so surprised how juicy and tender the meat was. The chirashi bowl was filled with seasoned raw salmon, tuna, octopus, imitation crab meat, spam and salmon roe. I highly highly recommend both dishes. I am sad this place is a ferry away. I would probably come to this restaurant every week if it was in the inlands. Service is nice, all very attentive. Restaurant has a opened seating area, and it's a pretty big space. I am so glad I tried this place for my washington trip.

Probably one of the best value places I've ever been to for Poke in my life. For a cute little spot on Bainbridge island, the cost of my two 1/2 pound servings of Scallop and Tuna didn't even eclipse $27. The dining and vibes were amazing and the service was fast and efficient. The food was fresh and tasted amazing. Their sauces are also amazing as well. Very good reason why this place is rated a 4.8 on Google reviews and 4.7 on yelp.

I got the spicy ahi tuna bowl and wow, it was huge. Everything was super fresh and full of flavor. The bowl is pretty big, so if you're someone who usually doesn't finish your food, you might want to share it. I also had a beer, and it was poured just right super cold and refreshing. All around a great poke spot located on Bainbridge Island, right off the ferry exit. It looks like an old gas station repurposed into a cute little poke shop. Perfect place to sit, relax, and take in the views. The service was great quick and welcoming.

Excellent poke bowls. The crab and seaweed salads are so good and the combination of everything in the bowl is perfect. I have tried the musubi rolls and they were just okay so I would pass on those next time :) You order at the counter. The workers have been friendly both times that I've gone. I heard that they have good soft serve which I'll have to try sometime!! There isn't a whole lot of seating but that hasn't been an issue either times that I've gone.

My cousin took us here while we visited Bainbridge and it lived up to her hype. We got some kalbi ribs and a variety of poke to share among 3 adults and it was plenty, and everything was great. The fish was fresh and the flavors were amazing. Would absolutely come back next time we're in the area.

Absolutely amazing poke and a hidden gem on Bainbridge Island. Service was incredibly fast, I ordered the traditional salmon and scallop poke and they were incredibly flavorful and reasonably priced! I've had my fair share of poke and would definitely recommend this place whenever visiting bainbridge island. They have seating available indoors and outdoors. You're able to order online or in person up at the front. Parking: Free small lot right in front of the building

Super nice staff, amazing views of the marina on a beautiful day. We loved the clam chowder (more…read morelike a soup, but perfect) and the salmon banh mi. The chicken Caesar salad used a lot of the center of the head, but was still fine. We had two (one entree, one side) so you can see the size comparison. The only minus is a 5% surcharge for kitchen staff tips. It's management's job to sort that out, and not have an extra fee on the bill. It made for an awkward conversation at the end of an otherwise nice experience.

Not gonna lie but I think the Doc's experience has degraded a bit since I was last here (and a…read moreregular with my parents). Stopped in for a bite of dinner after we were torn between another local pub (near Safeway) or here. We both had such fond memories of Docs and that led us to our choice. Got seated quickly but it took kinda forever to get even water delivered much less a drink order placed. We decided to make our dinner order too because of the drink delay. Hubby was too happy that they had his fav beer - black butte porter -available so her ordered that. My Chardonnay was from WA which is not my fav but it was a choice of $11/glass or $20/glass for an overpriced, under-tasting CA option. Our dinner came almost too quickly. 3 piece fish and chips. First impression: wow, that's hardly any fries. Second impression: wow, how long have these been sitting out. You can always depend on Docs fries to be amazing but not this time. They were limp, soggy and just about inedible. We did let our waiter know and he did reorder us a batch but they came almost at the end of our dinner tho. BUT these were the fries we rave about at Docs... hot, crispy, real potatoes. Yum! Now the fish: the cod itself was perfect. Thick, fresh, hot, moist but I don't know what this 'crusting' is. It's like it's been rolled in seasoned cracker crumbs then fried sure it's crispy but it's like it's encased in edible armor. Not a fan. The batter they used to have was so superior to this. I was disappointed to be honest. Upon paying and leaving hubby says: well, we won't do that again. It's too bad because it was such a regular hangout for us with my folks who just about everyone knew by name. It's also my first time back since they passed (2021) so I really was missing them. Not the same on many levels. Even the crack sauce wasn't 'right.' I've never left any behind in the cup before...I did this time.
