I've inadvertently been to several Poke Bros and have enjoyed all my meals from this chain. They provide quick, easy, and tasty meal at a reasonable price. The bowl cost between $9-$14, depending on the protein selection. You can make you own bowl, but I usually just opt for one of the signature bowls. The #4 Duke is a good choice if you want something with a little jalapeno kick as it comes with tuna, salmon and shrimp. Located next to Noodles and Co. .|\---/| | @_@ | ..\_^_/..2024

I love poke and this place just opened nearby. Nicely decorated, clean and spacious little spot. Everything on the line looked fresh and appetizing! Generous serving of tasty food. I hate when getting poke and other places charge a premium for a little bit of fish thrown on a massive amount of rice. Not the case here, I enjoyed the balance of protein to starch/salad! I tried The Duke and it was good. Additionally for those who know, the fish here was great (not warm or full of tendons like others I've had in the past). Service was prompt and friendly, and they even had a toothpick for me after my sesame seed got stuck. They also have suggestion cards encouraging you to suggest improvements. Great first impression. Thanks for lunch!

I looked up highly rated Vietnamese restaurants and found Tasty House 1 in Carol Stream. This place is everything we anticipated it to be. The location is nice and has parking in front, inside is super spacious and had a relaxing and breathable ambiance. We ordered a family appetizer platter that came with all the delicious Vietnamese appetizers like: spring rolls, bbq marinated meat, fried eggrolls, grilled jumbo shrimp, meat wrapped in betel leaf, lettuce, noodles, cucumbers, cabbage, tomatoes, daikon, jalapeños, two dipping sauces: peanut butter hoisin and Vietnamese fish sauce. Another appetizer we got separately was the fried calamari which had a great crunchy texture, the absolute best! For our entrees I decided to build my own pho and chose tripe, rib eye steak and quail eggs. My husband got the spicy beef noodle soup (Bun Bo Hue). This is honestly the best Vietnamese we've ever had in our lives!!!! I'm so glad I found this place. Awesome service, food and atmosphere. Zero complaints everything was very fresh and perfect. Our hearts left super happy.

There is a separate vegan menu with half a dozen things on it, and other than the drinks and desserts, pretty much nothing on the regular menu is vegetarian. (The papaya salad, which is on the vegan menu, is a ringer: it contains fish sauce.) You've got your choice of various fruit lemonades, bubble teas, popping bubble teas, jellies, etc. Desserts include flan, Vietnamese yogurt, coconut jelly - none of which you'll be eating onsite as you'll be too full after your entree. Portions are on the large side - even the papaya salad is a meal. I got the peach lemonade, vegetable spring rolls and the tofu, vegetable and noodles, which turned out to be a soup, basically Vietnamese ramen. The spring rolls are tasty and come with peanut sauce; the vegetable broth was savory with lots of baby bok choy, plenty of noodles and cubes of fried tofu - it was even better with some of the homemade hot sauce, which I highly recommend. The lemonade comes in a bubble tea disposable cup and contains tiny pieces of fruit - very fruity, not very citrusy. Service was friendly and very personable, which helps if you're serving 16 people. All of whom were happy.

Drinks took a minute but they kept up best as they could. Bread was warm, butter was soft. Steak was juicy, tender and cooked exactly how I wanted. The not so good: The clam chowder was very thin, and hardly any clam. The salad looked like it was from a premixed bag. No tomato wedge, no cucumber, just lettuce, red cabbage, and shaved carrots. I went with a big group (13) and two orders were missing so teens had to wait. Due to the wait we were promised two desserts on the house and another was given to my father as it was a pre-father's day celebration. One was taken off and the other 2 were charged after we were told it was on the house for the long wait of the 2 missing orders. Wait staff was really nice and she was friendly. She did her best and we appreciate her service. Food was subpar compared to other steakhouses at the pricepoint- porterhouse was $50+. Decor is outdated. More than enough room between tables and booths so that's a plus! Reservations for a group of 13 was really easy.

I love the variety of their food menu! They have steak, salmon, chicken, pork, shrimp, duck, lamb, pasta, and some really nice appetizers. The duck leg comes with carrots and duck fat roasted potatoes. It was incredibly delicious and tender. The flavor of the sauce was rich and paired great with the carrots and potatoes. Only thing is I did think some of the prices were a bit high compared to some other places I've been that serve similar quality food. Our waiter was nice and provided good service overall! For our main entrees we had the Shells on Shells pasta which was loaded with seafood but my wife was disappointed that the pasta was not shell pasta. I had the Shrimp Bruschetta which was loaded with shrimp and tasted amazing. Portions are huge but they were so good we had no leftovers .lol. For our Anniversary they surprised us with some gelato and I had to try their famous Bourbon Pecan Pie. Very good but I brought half of it home. We ended the night with an Expresso Martini. This is truly a hidden gem located in downtown Roselle.
