Shortly after, her husband Kenny greeted me and we had a friendly talk for a while. They hooked me up with an additional side and drink (they did not have to do that) which I thought was a very kind gesture. My food came out prompt, hot and fresh. I ate a few shrimp and fries while there before hitting the road. Everything was crispy, seasoned well and appetizing. I ate the cole slaw and potato salad later at work and enjoyed each. We loved that he took time to ask what brought us in, and when we said that we were building a new home in Bartlett only minutes away, he shared that although he has been all over the world he always misses good old Bartlett, IL. This is the kind of connection and service you won't find at franchise restaurants! We enjoyed cocktails, myself a dirty tini with bleu cheese stuffed olives, and my husband the traditional old fashioned and the P'tit old fashioned - both of which he enjoyed. We ordered the hummus for an appetizer - my husband never orders humus. Not a drop was left. An underdog is definitely the pot roast, not usually something I'd order off a menu but when it came to the table and I tried it, I instantly regretted not getting it as a meal.
